We stumbled upon this unique Russian store and decided to check it out. Hubby said hello, how are you to the store owner in Russian (I think he was Vladimir, the artist) and he did not even look up or acknowledge us at all! Very rude and strange! I would think he'd want to engage a bit with the customers, especially if he's trying to sell his stuff. The store is small but has a ton of Russian glass and ceramic figurines, jewelry, dolls, art, hand painted hairpins, and souvenirs. They really have so much cool stuff. Such a shame and very strange that customer service is nonexistent. read more

Awesome Soviet memorabilia. Vladimir is nice, very calm aura, I spoke with him in Russian, people getting a cold vibe probably don't interact with Eastern Europeans lol. Definitely some items on the more expensive side, and some memorabilia on the cheaper side. read more

My friend and I stumbled on this store and had a great time exploring inside. Yes, I would have expected the Owner to be even the slightest bit welcoming, but aside from turning down the music, he did not utter a word except to give me the price of an item. Maybe he only spoke money in English? This is truly a specialty store of cool, eclectic Russian items. They had an amazing assortment of glass and ceramic figurines. They also had jewelry, some Russian military items, ornaments, and intricate Easter egg sleeves-just a whole assortment of unusual items. My favorite part, by far, though, were all the different nesting dolls they carried. Also called Matryoshka dolls. You know the ones - where you open the man, and he holds a woman, who holds a kid, who holds a dog, who holds a cat, who holds a mouse (true story- they had that one). And I thought their prices were very reasonable - I have been looking online for a certain set and bought it here for cheaper. Neat store-I'll definitely be returning for holiday shopping. read more

This store however is extraordinarily charming ranging from the cute Russian dolls to traditional Russian clothing. I have walked past Vladimir's Collections many, many times. My Mother-in-law and Brother-in-law were in town and we decided to stop in and browse. This store is full of cool things to look at. They have tons of jewelry, Russian Dolls, wood carvings, ornaments, etc. One of the first things I noticed after walking in was the rude lady behind the counter. She was GLARING at my Brother-in-law. She looked at him like he was the scum of the earth and he was going to rob her blind. Seriously. I felt uncomfortable and immediately wanted to leave. However, my family seemed to not even notice and kept browsing. My Brother-in-law ended up buying a wooden pipe from the store. After looking at some of the prices, I shutter to think at how much he spent for it. I didn't ask him. My Mother-in-law tried to make polite conversation with the employee (owner?) as we paid and she was sneered at. At this point I was just trying not to laugh. It was very uncomfortable and awkward....but kind of funny. Vladimir's Collections is a fun place to stop in and browse, but minus 1 star for high prices and minus 1 star for rudeness. read more

Buyer Beware! I knew the ring I purchased there wasn't gold or silver, but I didn't expect it to turn out to be pot metal! Pot metal is so cheap that it can't even be sized; the ring would fall apart. It is worthless junk. By the way, after you make your purchase your receipt will tell you: no returns, exchanges, or refunds. Taking advantage of the customer is apparently okay here. I wouldn't trust that any of the jewelry or antiques on display would be legitimate or even close to having any value at all. I suggest you keep walking past this nasty place. Even the stuff that isn't garbage is overpriced. read more

The store is very charming. There is a huge selection of jewelry,beads,hand crafted souvenirs made from natural stones ,silver ,wood, glass ,ceramic ,fabric... As soon as we walked inside, immediately feel like in Russian museum, beautiful music .You can easy spend an hour in this little store. Stopped by here the other day to shop for Russian-themed souvenirs. Wow! What a selection! The owners were very helpful and accommodating helping me to choose my gifts. Apparently, the owner Vladimir, is an artist and creates many jewelry pieces that are for sale at the gallery. I was so impressed with his creativity! Stumbled upon this place while visiting St Pete. Kind of ironic that it's St. Petersburg FL, outside, but St. Petersburg, Russia inside. I felt like I was walking through something between a museum and a Pier 1...if Pier 1 was Russian. A lot of the typical things you (or at least I) would expect to find, but also some unique things you don't see in your run-of-the-mill gift shop. Vladimir's store is a "jewel" in downtown St. Petersburg. It sells hand-made souvenirs, pottery, jewelry and various trinkets. Most of the items are made in Russia. Selected pieces are designed and created by the store's owner, Vladimir and his son - a talented artist living in Orlando. I can always find unique presents for any occasion. I found this place upon first arriving in downtown St. Pete. Intrigued by the uniqueness of such a place I made a mental note to stope back during business hours since it was late at night. The day I went inside I was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous selection of sterling silver jewelry containing many precious gems, Baltic Amber, moonstone and many more. Vintage pins, postcards and memorabilia from Russia's history encompassing the many lands of Eastern Europe. A huge variety of handmade matryoshka dolls and one of a kind artwork by Russian artists. My favorite items have to be the Byzantine and Russian Orthodox religious icons. Antique pewter/sterling, gorgeous reliquary eggs and anything else you could hope for. A well rounded cross section of Russian/Eastern European Folk Art including Ukraine and Czech among others. I was recently in the St. Petersburg area and accidentally discovered this wonderful Russian art store. The unique, one of a kind offerings were by far the best I have ever seen anywhere. Vladimir's jewelry was spectacular, it is no wonder he has earned international acclaim. In addition, they had a collection from one, if not the most famous jewelers in Moscow - that of Oleg Kovlalski. Looking for a gift to take home to my wife, I found them easy to identify and difficult to choose from - so I bought them all. I would never visit the area again without stopping and shopping at this destination. A must see! read more
