I mean, it's basically a Super 8, no frills or anything, but it was cheap and in a great location next to breakfast and downtown. One night we did have some rowdy neighbors due to a wedding and noticed the walls were paper thin but overall for the price and for the scenery in such a cute town, this was just right for us. Wifi is a bit weak, if you need that sort of thing. Oh, and eat pizza at the Nook, was the best food we ate in Wallace (and there's a lot of good food!) read more

August 2019 I read previous reviews before booking this hotel. And I was not sure I was going to stay because of them. However, when my daughter and I arrived we were pleased to see the clean appearance of the room. Maybe they had recently remodeled the bedroom area. It is an older hotel but was very pleasant and clean. The bathrooms were dated with pink tile. But that is not a bad thing. It had a small refrigerator and a microwave but did not serve a continental breakfast. I would stay there again without hesitation. We enjoyed the proximity to town and the ability to walk around the great community of Wallace after a long drive. read more

I wish i could give this place a negative!!!!!!!!! I stayed here in July 3rd, the hotel staff were unorganized. The room was dirty!!! In the middle of the night at 2am, a man tried to get in our room, he had a key! The staff sold our room to him and gave him keys to our room! Thank goodness we had the chain on the doors! Then the staff called us, and told us what she did, because the man was screaming at her and my 83 year old mother was scared to sleep! read more

I want to like this motel , I really do. Kitschy & cute - old school . But , some problems. Walls paper thin, could not get any sleep ! Lots of thumping in nite. Noisy. Not clean , previous occupants trash with used qtips etc really grossed me out. Bathroom has cracks in mirror, old bathtub , a/c wasn't too great . Older, but anything negative I have to say, is not why I came to stay here. The Wifi works if you are close to the office, but I didn't come here for the Wifi. I sleep in hotels, That's about it. For what I look for, this was perfect. It is a little old and outdated. It is not the Ritz, but it sure as hell is probably cleaner than the Ritz. This place was SPOTLESS! The drapery will definitely keep the room dark if you like to sleep in. It is very quiet. the staff is exceptionally friendly and helped us out a lot. The hot water got very hot. I had extra blankets and pillows when I needed them. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. Lots of space. Off street parking. Tiny motel in a tiny town with great rates. Worst of the worst. Do not stay here. Rooms were dirty and lot of shady people just hanging around. We had 6 couples and not one of them had a good experience. To top it off they charged $124.00 to stay in this dump. One room hadn't even been cleaned another had pee all over the toilet and the bed wasn't made. We pulled out a night stand to use the plug and it looked like a dumpster. The folks running the place had friends and who knows who else staying and taking all the parking spots. Shake up with management/ownership at the time of our stay in February. At checkout time we were told no receipt was possible. When charge card bill came we learned we were charged incorrectly and the error is over $500! Left a message for manager/owner to call us and after 2 days we are still waiting. I will need to file a dispute with card company. Would rather be spending my time doing something other than dealing with this! Sad to see this place go down the drain like this as we used to love this place! Back to Wallace Inn we will go! read more

My wife and I were driving to Seattle and decided to stop here for the night. I knew from their website that the rate was only $50/night. For that price I expected to be staying in the Bates Motel (we actually saw a Psycho themed motel in Coeur d'Alene), but was pleasantly surprised by it's charm. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh smelling. The staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended a few places we could get some food and drinks. We would definitely like to return to Wallace, but next time we'll go in the tourist season so more of the historic attractions are open. read more

Older hotel but looking at website I expected that. Very friendly staff at front desk & since we arrived before check in time; she took the time to explain history of the town and gave us great ideas of how to spend our day in Wallace. However, the room...yikes!!! We booked a 2 double room. My comforter had MULTIPLE blood stains & my mom's had whitish-semenish looking stains. Room was musty & I wore my flip flops the whole time because the carpet needs an appointment with the rug doctor...BAD. read more

To be perfectly honest, I stumbled into Wallace, Idaho. During a recent road trip, I begrudgingly decided to stop driving after fourteen hours. Wallace Idaho is a quaint little town with a population just under 800 people. If you are looking for modern amenities and top-of-the-line furnishings, you may be in the wrong state, let alone the wrong motel. However, if you need a simple place to rest your head, the Stardust is a great option. My only qualm was the in-the-wall Air conditioning / heat unit. The unit rumbled like an old freight train all night. To be perfectly honest, it emitted more noise than heat all night. read more

We stayed here in June. Wasn't bad for the price. However, the price went way up when we got our visa bill and the day after we stayed we were charged again, only this time for 2 times what we paid. We have called several times, left messages and nothing. So visa is working on it for us. Be very careful. read more

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. We booked through Priceline and booked the option with free breakfast. There was no free breakfast, no muffins, no breakfast bars, nothing. There was free coffee. Priceline should not offer free breakfast unless hotel is on board!! read more

The room was very outdated. My husband sat on the bed and it crashed to the floor, old metal frame w/no crossbar. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls in the bathroom. It was clean however, there are other hotels much nicer and less expensive in town. read more

Can you give 0 stars? This was a terrible experience. Ended up over at the Wallace Inn. Made a reservation about 2 weeks in advance for a double full room. We knew we would be getting in a little before midnight so we called on our way around 7ish and gave them a heads up. Was told to just call the number when we got in and they would check us all in. We showed up and a guy in a tank top and socks rolls out with a room key for us. We go to get into our room and the key doesn't work. So we call him again and he spends 15 minutes trying to figure it out. He opens the door when it finally unlocks and the room is dirty. Beds have been slept in and not made and towels on the ground of the bathroom. He's like well the beds have been slept in but youguys can stay! I'm like here we are mid COVID right? And in even normal circumstances I'm not sleeping in a hotel room that's not clean and been used rather recently. So he's like well what do you want. So we i we wanted a refund and would try to find something else but my 4 year old and I needed to use the bathroom before we left. So he opens up another random door to a random room to let us use that restroom and there's again towels on the ground and it's obviously either his room or one they're partying in. As we are loading kids back in the car we can literally see him and like 3 people that looked kind of cracked out dissapear into ANOtHer room. So we never got a receipt or anything saying we were refunded so we call the number again while we are searching for another hotel and he basically said you'll get your money back and got off the phone. Why if I had a room booked and called ahead would a room not be CLEAN and ready for us a couple hours later. read more

My brother and I stayed at the Stardust in 2016 on the way to Yellowstone and to do the Silver streak zip-line. In 2016 the hotel was shabby and dated but clean and the staff was pleasant. This year, September 2018, we again made the Yellowstone/ Zip line trip and stayed at the Stardust. The staff is still amazingly pleasant and they even (unasked) provided us with a bag of rags to wipe down our bikes as it was beginning to rain. If the owners took care of this hotel as well as the staff takes care of its guests, this would get 5 stars from me. The carpet is so worn that it looks dirty and the plumbing in the 4 units we had, as well as the faucets outside leak (a lot) and/or make terrible noises when turned on. I will probably not choose this hotel again unless I learn that basic improvements/repairs are made. read more

Rebecca at the front desk was very nice, accommodating and cheerful! We arrived early at 8:30am and check-in was not until 3:00pm, however Rebecca checked us in and gave us our room key. She then let us know the room was not ready but would call is once it was since we arrived early. When she did call us to let us know the room was ready it was 11:00am which was awesome! We got into our room and it was very spacious! King bed, 32 inch flat screen TV, microwave, small frig, small coffee maker along with a good sized table and 2 chairs. Ample room for luggage and our 2 bikes!! Bathroom clean and functional - sink and toilet could use a little updating. Shower/tub combo clean no visible mold, good shower head and nice guest soaps and shampoos. The kind that doesn't do testing on animals and Sulfate free. Free wifi is available. Overall, I really like the room - clean, spacious, quiet and great value and walkable to downtown - 1 block. I would stay again. A few things missing are coffee mugs and fluffy bigger pillows as the ones we had were lumpy! it could be a littler quieter as the motorcycles were up late and out early! read more
