    Steak Tacos
    Ron S.

Love to try new places and this is a new one in Herriman. We came for lunch on a Monday so it was not crowded at all so we were seated quickly. They only had one person for the whole place so ordering was a bit slow and the guy that took our order acted like he had been up all night. For me attention to the customer is what makes up for poor food. While this place had good food it was diminished by the lack of attention. There were other people working but I only saw them stick their head out of the back once. I ordered the steak taco which was good and the serving plenty. The wife ordered the chicken strips which was enough for 2 early. The place I bright and open. I would be back for the food but really get some people with a little life in them.

    Yum!!

Hit this place up for brunch for the first time. They had a bottle of champagne for $30., not bad. The French toast was amazing and the maple syrup was very good. We also ordered the omelette with sausage and that was interesting. Sausage was links cut up with some cheese and that was it. It was alright, the hash browns were tasty. They are now serving pitchers of beer, but the price was high in my opinion. Around 20-24 for domestic. Their beer and cocktails are on par with The Break, another neighborhood bar close by as far as price goes. I have to say the service was way better than I expected.

Whenever we come here it's always a great time! The service can sometimes be a little slow depending on how many are working, but the servers are all really nice. This is my favorite bar in the area! Great food, great variety of drinks, and always something going on.

So happy for a new restaurant/bar close by! The food and drinks are delicious! I tried the burger, sweet chili wings, onion rings, and a chocolate browning with vanilla ice cream. I was having so much fun playing Bingo (free to play) that I forgot to take food pics. Everything was super flavorful including the garlic ranch dipping sauce. The service was excellent and welcoming from start to finish. Almost every night there is a different activity (Bingo, Trivia, Wine Night, etc.) which makes the atmosphere welcoming and lively! I will for sure be back... possibly... a lot! I'm a sucker for a game nights!

This spot is gooood! I'm a big burger fan. While every restaurant can "sell" a burger these days, very few can make a properly good burger. I went for the Bulleit Burbon Burger. Creative to say the least. Delicious and different. Jam and cream cheese on a burger... who knew. Fries were crispy. Food was hot. Just hit the spot. Nice decor. Will happily come back again

Tucked…read moreaway in Cottonwood Heights, it also happened to be a literal stroll across the street from where we were staying, which made it an easy yes for dinner. This isn't white-tablecloth, hushed-voice "fine dining," but the kitchen is absolutely cooking at that level. Every dish that hit the table delivered: the som tum, drunken noodles, and Thai fried rice were all standouts, with zero misses across the board. The mixed greens and golden tofu plates were legit highlights too, not just obligatory veggie options. One thing to know before you go: everything defaults to no spice unless you speak up. If you're used to true Asian spice levels, level 3 is probably your sweet spot. Level 2 was still a bit too tame for us, especially for something like the som tum that really sings with heat. Bottom line: excellent quality, generous value, and food that keeps you thinking about your next visit before you've even paid the check. This is absolutely a spot I'd come back to.

Here is where the identity crisis starts. You walk into a nice space with red velvet decor and Italian landscapes. I had to do a double-take to make sure we were in the proper establishment. The menu has photos of their dishes, great for a visual eater like myself. We started with the soft shell crabs in a chili sauce. The crabs were lightly battered, crisp and a delicious taste. We saved the sauce to pour over our rice, an added bonus. The pad Thai was to sweet, and over-run with red onions. This is not a combo I'm familiar with, not my favorite. The pork spiced ribs with honey, tomatoes, Thai spices and sesame oil was unique and good. They fell off the bone tender. What is stuck in my craw is the message sent by the physical space. Beautiful red velvet chairs, Italian landscapes and wine bottles lining the walls does not lend to fine Thai dining in my mind. A least paint over the walls and add SOME Thai touches. Let your wait staff know living on cell phone and ignoring patrons is never a winning message. The male bathroom has a toilet covered with painted tape and several missing pieces of porcelain. Are you a serious business or a pop-up finishing off someone else's lease? Attention to details are important and help set the table way before the food arrives. I wish Ve La Thai Fine Dining the best, but question their commitment after being here for over a year, perhaps it is all intentional.

They are operating as a restaurant so in Utah, you are required to order food with your drinks. They do have some cheaper food options and the servers are very cool with you sharing food. I recommend getting a pizza to share! As far as the food is concerned, it's your pretty standard bar/pub food but a little bit more upscale. So, it's a good spot if you're looking for something that everyone will enjoy. Their pizzas are popular and very reasonably priced.
