Good service. Food not so good. We all ordered the steak sizzler. It's kind of cool since it comes sizzling on this hot metal/wood thing where it continues to cook there at your table. I ordered my medium and it was well done. Rather dry. And it was completely tasteless. One of the most bland steaks I've ever had and certainly the worst one at any pub. The side salad was the best part of the meal. The parking lot was practically empty and there were hardly any people in the pub. For a Saturday, this was surprising. Until my last trip here I hadn't been to this pub for about 10 years. It was interesting to see that nothing had changed, except the menu, slightly. The food was pretty good, surprisingly. I found it to be much better prepared than most pub food and they had some good options on the menu beyond your normal fare. Riverbend Station is our stop whenever my team ends up playing an Ultimate Frisbee game in Riverbend. On a Tuesday night, you shouldn't have any troubles finding a place for your sports team to sit. The pub is pretty spacious, and not usually that busy this early in the week. The food is on par with most pub food, large quantities, pretty tasty, reasonably priced. Although the French onion soup a couple of my teammates ordered last night came with a *massive* pastry topper. Sitting on top of a white bowl, it looked like the largest mushroom I've ever seen. The inside of the pub is pretty dark, so on hot days, it'll be a cool place to be. The TVs are pretty well all positioned for a good view from wherever you're sitting, so if pubs and sports is your thing, you and Riverbend Station should get along. A poster on the wall also said they host karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays. read more

A note of thanks to two awesome servers, Brandy and Sidney, who served myself, husband and puppy on Sunday, July 30th, and last Wednesday, August 9th when I dined on the doggy patio with Kaci, my small dog. The Sunday brunch was simply delicious and Brandy was not only prompt and efficient, she was also very personable and provided water for Kaci before our meal arrived, Also, Sidney as well, waited on myself and Kaci , August 9th,on the outdoor patio and was very attentive with her, lavishing hugs and of course providing her with a large bowl of ice cold water, and engaging in conversation with me. You are both a credit to The Station Pub and Grill, however do not live in the area, therefore had never been to your pub prior to two weeks ago. Great service but terrible food and poorly managed. I recently moved into the area and was really hoping I could make this my new go to spot, but if I am coming in for anything other then a few drinks i am often left disappointed. The last straw was when I went in recently to try some items on their new Oktoberfest menu that they had advertised just recently on their social media accounts, but was told when i got there that the manager had been on vacation and did not order in the Items needed to actually make anything on the menu.. Stupid that they would advertise something they don't have... But i thought whatever ill just have a couple drinks and order something else... nope ran out of fire jack too, for the same reason... manager on vacation.. Apparently they have been running low or out of a few things because their manager didn't order enough. This is not the only time i have been disappointed here. One time i ordered the steak sandwich with fries and gravy. First off, the gravy had to be the worst gravy I've ever eaten, I have had better gravy from hospitals. Second they over cooked my steak not one but twice! and it still was terrible! My friend also ordered the beef dip and it was tough and dry. Some of the worst food I've had at a pub. The only reason I am giving them 2 starts instead of 1 is because i have always gotten great and friendly service from the daytime staff. I've come in a few times for just a couple pints after work in the early afternoon and the bartender and other servers were always welcoming, and polite. Still not a bad place to have a beer, but stay far away from the food!! read more

Went to the Station Pub & Grill in Riverbend, first and last time, the server was wonderful, but the food was not, the fries were so over salted, and trust me I like salt but these were like licking a salt block, I told the server to tell the cook, because that could be very harmful to people on kidney dialysis. As for the burgers, they were so over sauced, very sloppy to eat but were tasty, as for the Buffalo Chicken Burger, it was so over sauced with hot sauce, the taste took over everything, even the drinks, only had one bite, good thing my husband was hungry, however I enjoyed the onion ring. The Riverbend Station Pub appears to be under new management and there are clearly changes taking place here. From new paint, scrolling signs to improved lighting the pub is getting refreshed. The masking tape around the new paint job showed that progress is happening quickly. The table tops had more evidence of change with several upcoming promotions featured on hanging cards. A draw for free Stampede tickets was one I remember. Their half price wine bottles on Wednesday make for a pretty cheap wino's night out. We also ordered a appetizer platter, their famous French onion soup and a small Greek salad. The soup was a surprising delight with a massive baked cheesy pastry topping. The small Greek salad was actually quite large and she thought very tasty. It's black olives should have been Kalamatas but the price was excellent. The appy platter was far more than the two of us could eat. It included calamari, mac and cheese bites, perogies, chicken wings, deep fried dill pickles, chicken strips, carrot and celery sticks, and three dips. The mac and cheese and pickles were new for us and we are already officially addicted. Our server, Sherri was super attentive. She checked with us at all the right times to make sure we were well hydrated and fed. In all our visit was excellent and we look forward to returning with friends soon. read more

I come here for Thursday wings sometimes. Pretty good wings, decent service. It's fairly close to home. Saturday's I sometimes have the steak "sizzler" which comes on a cast iron plate with sauteed onions and mushrooms. It's usually good value steak. Riverbend Station, to me, reminds me of the pubs I use to frequent in NW Ontario. It is down to earth, unpretentious, and it has a fairly eclectic crowd. When you walk in, it is generally a blend of young and old, and blue collar and white color. I love the mix of folks here. Despite its rustic general appearance, I got more than I expected when I walked in, looked around and then popped open the menu. They actually had a few wines - i got the Yellowtail Shiraz Cab and it was awesome! Many pubs that I go into are big on beer, thin on wine. I was happy with the selection here. The menu also had 13-14 different kinds of salads (yes really!), along with lots of healthy options. I love my pub food, but I also like to have a choice, so I can decide whether to be bad, or good. The pub also has specials all the time. I have seen signage on 18th Street letting me know about Steak Sandwich specials, which is always a hit with this girl! The only downside to this pub, is that it is jam packed! It is tough to get a table and parking can even be a nightmare at times. However, this neighborhood pub is definately worth a second look, or even a third look... :) 17/30 read more

Visiting family in riverbend. We decided to have the steak sandwich $5.99 special - Wednesday night. That god it was only $5.99. It was horrible. Cheap cut if meat on a piece of soggy white wonder bread with some sort of garlic muck. WOW it was so f'n vile. And, too boot, we started with the calamari that was actually worse than the steak sandwich. It was 80% batter and we needed to hunt for the actual calamari. NO WAY was it worth $12. My god people have low standards. Place was busy but primarily with beer drinkers. Service was ok. Waiter worked hard. But, for heavens sakes slap that cook and double slap the management and owner. I've lived 5 minutes from here for 4 years and haven't gone until a coworker suggested it. I hadnt gone because it was hard to judge by the outside the type of place it was. It turns out it is a decent neighbourhood pub with all the usual food, specials and decor. The service was pretty solid-nothing to friendly but she came around frequently enough. The wings were good (both the S&P and the medium and the fries were quite tasty (fresh, not overly greasy). They have the standard pub favourites and quite a few finger foods. Some of their menu items seemed priced a little over the top (there was a veggie platter that was over $15) but I didn't order it to see what size it was-maybe its a team sized one or something as I know they do get a lot of small groups. They have a good sized patio and inside is very large-and dark. You could drink he day away and not realize it still you stepped outside. I would probably go back as it is close and a solid place to grab a pint. read more

Tonight was my third visit and the first time I ordered food. As I was waiting for my friend to arrive, I drank water and received minimal attention. Upon having a "real" pub beverage and ordering food, service was great. I had Snake Bites, which are deep fried and spicy boneless chicken pieces served with veggies and dip. I quite enjoyed this and the serving size was perfect. I must also add that my pint of Rickard's White was tasty. With draught beer, you just never know when you might get a stale one. This is a big pub and appears clean enough. The benches could use a bit of padding (clearly my rear doesn't have enough) and they sit pretty far back from the table. It's very roomy but could be a bit more comfortable. I don't know if all bench seats in the pub are this way. I'm never a fan of restrooms in the basement. Alcohol and stairs are not a good combo and I do actually believe I heard someone fall down somewhere in the pub tonight. I even heard groaning over the music. Also, restrooms far from staff seem to get less attention and/or more abused. The ladies restroom was surprisingly clean but the doors are battered. All in all, it's a handy and respectable pit stop if you're in the neighborhood. read more

I live in Riverbend and just started checking this place out. The food is amazing, and the venue is comfy and very family friendly. Except every time I go here, this one particular waitress is incredibly rude and makes our night not enjoyable. I've had the same server multiple occasions and she has always treated us the same. Very slow, snappy and one time she's gotten our order completely wrong and gave us major attitude when we confronted her about it. She has dark curly hair and is there every night i am there. I don't recall her name but whoever she is, the restaurant would be better if she wasn't employed there as harsh as that sounds. Perhaps other people can relate to this. read more

Have been a Regular here for over 10 years, until now. Food is hot & cold & I don't mean the temperature. Richard (Bartender) literally attacks fellow staff anytime he feels the need to show off, pretty certain he feels his size is intimidating to customers as well. Never much paid attention to how rude & arrogant he really is until I became his target for defending my Wife from his wrath. The place has been sold to the same corporation that owns the local Bull & Finch and the Park which don't impress me either so I honestly don't expect the impending changes to be good in any case. Sad to see a decades old Staple for Riverbend locals go to hell like this but I guess all things change...I just can't see myself going back very often if at all. read more

Just your basic neighborhood pub really. The Station is convenient only for those who live nearby (there isn't a whole lot other then suburbia nearby) which means the clientele is normally middle aged except for the odd night when a local teenager turns 18 and doesn't want to wander to far from home for his/her first legal beverage. The food is good standard pub fare: nachos, wings, that kind of thing and the beer selection is pretty average but suitable. Kind of boring but not a bad place for a beer after work. read more

The Beer is on point. Largest variety of draft I've ever seen. The taste of any draught comes from a high quality system and the cleanliness of the lines ect. They either must know I'm coming and hustle to clean them or have them cleaned on regular basis, cause love me there draught. Happy hour prices are good. The steak sandwich with sautéed mushroom is always a home run. Go and enjoy. read more

However, we ordered well before noon (as in, well before any lunch rush) and the bloody fries served to us were cold. When I worked in restaurants, it was a simple matter to cook fries to order. My wife and i were out and about and wanted to try a new place for lunch. We came across the river bend station pub And from the outside it looked like a neat little pub the inside was quite nice too. Thats were it stopped the service was very slow and not very personable. I orderd the calamari as a starter after nearly 40mins i got the most over cooked and burnt calamari i have ever had i sent it back. Then after another 45mins my wife and i got our mains. Worst place ever!!! I made a reservation for 15 to 20 of us from work and called 20 minutes prior to arriving to confirm that we could show up early; they said they would have it set up for us. A few girls arrived before me and were grumpily told it was on the patio, then they were waved toward the door with no effort to take them out and get them seated. Absolutely nothing was set up for a group. Service was terrible and only got worse when my meal was served. I've spent a lot of time in restaurants through the years and this was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever had! The steak sandwich, too, was not good at all. When I spoke with the staff about it, the only response I received was excuses. We definitely won't be back and would not recommend it at all. read more

Comfortable pub with a decent selection of beer on tap. We had a brunch there once and it was decent. Gone for burgers and beers a couple of times and they are alright but the sides have been disappointing everytime. I think we tried the fries and sweet potato fries and both looked liked and tasted like frozen grocery store fries. If the burgers came with fresh cut fries or a good side of some sort we would return since it is the closest pub to our house. We have since found other pubs in the area with better food to frequent instead. read more

Disgusting! Had to walk through 10 drunk smokers to get inside. Waited 14 minutes for service. Waitress apologized by telling us how horrid it was to work there. Wings were nasty... had obviously sat under a heat lamp for hours. Ordered a veggie platter and the cauliflower was moldy. Cook (really really using that term lightly) says it was fine and that we were being picky. This place can't go out of business soon enough! One star is one too many. read more

Yes, it is a basic neighborhood pub. Yes, it is a bit run down (it hasn't been upgraded since opening 20 years ago). Thursday nights at 25 cents a wing (minimum 1 dozen). We used to hardly ever miss our Thursday date for wings but they haven't been quite as good lately. Often overcooked and on the small side. We've been going to Studio 82 and Mug Shotz instead. However, most of the servers are terrific and remember everything we normally order, right down to the clamato juice for the man's beer. Can't ask for much more than that. read more

I've visited this pub a few times now and each time it's been great! They have an amazing team of workers... the servers are all really friendly and always smiling... the bartenders are great too... even ended up talking to the manager Richard at the bar for a while and he was so nice to chat with. He seems to be fitting for the place and from what I can tell he runs the place very well. All in all, I love the atmosphere, the staff, and I will be back! read more
