This pizza place is my favorite pizza place that has ever been in Pittsburgh, and I've lived here for my entire life, which is nearly 50 years. And I've worked in many of them.. You know, this is the kind of family run place that really brings a tear to my eye. We need more places like this, and less places like Chipotle. This pizza place has amazing pizza, great slices, nice people working there. And amazing sandwiches, which I have now learned, they are going to double the size of their Dormont location, adding a sandwich shop next door. While we were there, they gave us free bread, and it was like day old bread, which we brought home and used that night to make dinner. Every slice was great, their salads are great, and Anthony is great, and Herb is great, and I'm a Herb, and that does bias me.

Just like any other restaurant they have their advantages and disadvantages. It is nice that they are so close to the south side where I live. This one is small, but has a decent seating area. The lady at the counter had a gutter punk style with pink hair in pig tails, nose ring, t-shirt and camouflage pants. I liked her style, but she wasn't very friendly. There was no unsweetened tea so I asked for a cup of water, a request which she ignored. You will get your pizza, just don't expect any water. I guess you just have to die of thirst. I ordered a slice of white pizza with spinach/onions and a magherita slice. The crust is light, airy, crispy and nicely cooked. The only thing was I had to hold it up, or else the toppings would have flopped right off. The flavor is pretty good for both slices. I kind of wish they had more ricotta on the white pizza. I think there was less cheese on the slices, but as a result there was a lot less oil coming from the slices. Even when I looked at my plate I could see no oil stain remnants that you typically always get from most pizza. There was a definite char on one of the slices. I don't exactly love it to be charred really, but it didn't make the pizza taste horrible. Badamos is a good and unique restaurant. It is worth going at least once, or twice. Maybe bring some water with you, so you don't choke. I might have more to write a bit later when I have tried some more menu items. Cheers, have a great week,

If so, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The shell tasted like a store bought brand and the topping were minimal to say the least. It also took nearly 30 minutes for one taco and there was only one guy ahead of us and two other people waiting and to be honest their orders took just as long as ours. Not acceptable! The vibe at the festival last year was great and yeah some of the lines were long, but they were all moving exceptionally fast except this one. The workers seemed very confused and overwhelmed. Yeah, the taco was fairly good, but the wait time for one taco was beyond frustrating. I hope if they are there again today at the festival they are serving better quality crumbles, better quality tortilla shells and more plentiful toppings.

It was so great- I didn't have to leave her alone at home to go grocery shop, the meals were easy, and healthy, and she absolutely loved them. It seems like such a little thing, but these meals really made a stressful time so much easier. They were also so good I'm cancelling my hungryroot subscription and switching to Chip and Kale!
