I love Stone Rose!! The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere and some of the kindest staff members I've ever encountered. Everyone is so friendly and always makes great suggestions on what to order. Special shoutout to my favorite bartender, Matt, he has the best energy, is so fun to chat with, and even came up with a few of the cocktails on the menu! The calamari appetizer is amazing, I would definitely recommend getting that. For an entrée, the black garlic radiatore pasta is a must try. And for a cocktail, you have to order "The New Guy" (another one of Matt's creations) it's so good! 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to everyone. You won't be disappointed! read more

Visited for a work dinner and the menu was preset. I could not eat any of the items on the preset menu due to dietary restrictions and the great customer service by the server asked what could I eat (no dairy & fish or chicken) & the server brought out a salmon and vegetable dish for me that was greatly appreciated! That's excellent service. Four stars due to preset menu not including non dairy options. The restaurant appears small outside but is long and a good size for the neighborhood. read more

It's a small restaurant with very big shoes - but they deliver. On our first visit, they welcomed us with Prosecco, which was a lovely treat. We got the short ribs and truffle Mac & cheese to start - which was a bit of heaven in Conshy. We ordered the pan seared scallops, and crab and avocado salad to share - almost fairly. We enjoyed the scallops and the crab salad so much there was no room for dessert. Service was top rate, beer selection was ok, they're more of wine and cocktail place. We have come back a few more times - even for happy hour. Other great dishes include the Wagyu sliders and the double bone-in pork chop. I found this spot while looking for a place to dine not far from my workplace; my friend made reservations for us... When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and seated. My friend knew exactly what he wanted but I was a little indecisive however, after talking to the waitress, I decided on the Quesabirria Chicken Tacos with a side salad (the Stone Rose) and my friend ordered the Stone Rose with salmon added. My tacos and salad were delicious - the tacos had the perfect ratio of cheese and chicken and the broth was great too; the salad was fresh and tasty. My friend cleaned his plate... I almost forgot about the drinks - we both ordered The Cucumber as a mocktail, the drink was refreshing, with the perfect amount of sweetness (for my palate). Before we left, a slice of what I think was Limoncello cheesecake was brought out with a candle (it was my bday) - the cake was soooo good! The ambiance was on point too - I can't remember all that I heard but it was definitely good music. I absolutely love this spot! One of my favorites in Conshy. Went out with our family last night and as always had a great experience! The food was 10/10 and so were the drinks. We had the calamari and mussels for the app, highly recommend. For entrees I got the scallops and they were cooked to perfection. Don't sleep on burger also. This is a truely exceptional restaurant. We went on a Thursday night recently and the service from Briget was attentive, engaging and very helpful. A gem in Conshy. I've been in the philly/conshy area for almost twenty years and only just went here yesterday. Food is spectacular but on the expensive side. Food ordered was the following: Appetizers: Brussel Sprouts - very good flavor and sauce. They had a nice char to them and were crispy. Short rib flatbread - unreal good. Usually rectangular in shape this came out like a regular personal pizza. Very memorable. Note - the table bread is also really good. We got several helpings of it. It's kind of like a soft flatbread precut (4 pieces). Comes out room temp. Dinner: Stonerose burger - Definitely top 3 burgers I've ever had. Absolutely top notch. Cooked medium perfectly. I got it with a fried egg and regular fries with white cheddar cheese sauce. With egg it was a 19.00 burger with fries. Bacon, cooper sharp cheese, fried onion. Fries were very good... but the cheese sauce wasnt too flavorful which was disappointing. Sweet Potato Gnocchi - wife loved it. Wish you got more gnocchi for the 21.00. Literally got less than 21 gnocchi's... so over a dollar for each gnocchi LOL! Dessert: Choc chip cookie ice cream sandwich. It was ok nothing special. Was here on Saturday night at 745pm for a birthday dinner & had a wonderful time! The weather was nice enough to sit outside, so we did. I enjoyed the cozy, intimate vibe the tent gives. There were people dining inside with the large front window open, outside in the tent, and also outside of the tent, so there seems to be an option for everyone. Service was attentive, but not overly so. The Farmer's Flatbread was such a delicious appetizer! The dough was crisp and a little chewy with a great flavor. They definitely do not skimp on the goat cheese at all! Fig & prosciutto are wonderful together and really worked well with the tangy goat cheese and the honey drizzle. The *only* thing I would change is making the prosciutto smaller and spread it evenly throughout. My entree was the starter portion of the Short Ribs over Mac & Cheese. The flavors were great together. The ribs fell apart easily and the mac had a good texture without being dry or overly cheesy. I could've done without the au jus - it was flavorful but unnecessary for me. My friend had the Harvest Burrata Salad with Salmon. It looked amazing! She enjoyed it thoroughly and said all the pieces paired well. It was super filling. We split the chocolate cake, which was moist and delicious. I recommend & would return. read more

This is a small place in conshy with seating indoors and outdoors. We sat right by the bar and it gets really dark/dim but there is still a good ambiance! Food: 4/5. I loved the prosecco drop drink and it was one of the best drinks I ever had. The fries were all so good. We loved the gnocchi the most as the texture and taste was just amazing! The top sirloin had a strong rosemary or pepper fragrance, depending on which piece you ate. The cheeseboard was pretty good, but wasn't the biggest fan of the crunchy biscuit(?) that came with it. Quaint, simple, delicious. Our server was attentive to our every need. Drinks were prompt and refreshing. For apps, we started with the short rib flatbread. You crumble the parmesan crisp atop of the pizza to add another level of texture... phenomenal. For the entree, I had the chicken Caesar and a side of duck fat fries with the dip trio (a must). I wish I got more of the parmesan crisp in my salad, but still a great standard salad. My boyfriend got the stone burger which was tender and packed with flavor. They have amazing happy hour specials- the burrata and fries trio were healthy portions and super tasty. You could easily make a meal out of it. I had the old fashioned which was very strong and delightfully bitter (just how I like it). My friend had the cucumber martini which was equally as strong and refreshing. We also had the sweet potato gnocchi and a pasta special that day. The gnocchi was creamy and cooked perfectly. The special was a pesto pasta that used fresh zucchini, tomatoes, kale and fennel, all locally sourced from the owner's farm. It was a little heavy on the oil but very tasty. I love that they use seasonal ingredients. The outdoor seating looked lovely as did the seating in the back. We appreciated their attentive waitstaff, they did a great job! When we walked into Stone Rose on the recommendation a friend, I thought it was a sports bar. The first Phillies game of the season was on TV, the room was mobbed, and the noise was supersonic jet plane loud. We were seated in a back room, fortunately, with two friends, and the noise was not bad until it filled up. Then we could not hear about a third of what our friends were saying across the table from us. That ultra-loud din is why this a 4-star review instead of 5 stars. Everything else was center city upscale restaurant quality. Scallops, cucumber edamame salad, sweet potato gnocchi, salmon, crab and avocado salad, truffle fries, Old Fashioned cocktail -- all excellent, top of the line. Can't say enough about them. And Samantha, our server, was also wonderful -- pleasant, friendly, efficient! This is a hidden gem. We are a 35 to 40-minute drive away, but we would be regulars if it were not for the LOUD noise problem. I wish they would install ceiling acoustic tiles. Then it would be 5 stars! read more

I was so disappointed in this meal. The calamari stunk. Small cheap pieces, over breaded. The breading had zero flavor. The crab and avocado salad was even worse. For the price tag, this was not what I had expected. A $15 salad should be appetizing and filling. I was confused by the unseasoned whole bell pepper on the plate stuffed with mixed greens. The crab was definitely not lump as advertised. And the salad had zero dimension. We sat outside and it was extremely buggy. I do NOT recommend sitting under the trees. Overpriced food.
