Friends suggested we visit The Daisy Tavern for a birthday dinner. It was busy on a Saturday night before a snowstorm, but we had reservations and were quickly shown to our table. The decor has a California farmhouse feel with lots of wood accents and open shelving. Fortunately, we were given a quieter table in the corner off the main dining room although even that room was loud. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The Orchard and Oak bourbon cocktail in a tall glass tasted like a winter drink and was slightly sweet. We shared Daisy's Nuggets which I would definitely order again. Finally, nuggets with a little heat! A few more blue cheese crumbles would have been appreciated though. We also decided to try the Smoke Show pizza which was fabulous even though I'm usually not a fan of thicker crust pizza. I especially enjoyed the combination of flavors including the ricotta on top. As an entree, my husband ordered the Short Rib Ravioli which wouldn't have been enough for him without all the appetizers as the portion was small. It seemed more like an appetizer portion than an entree. The Smash Burger, however, was a hit. Our server sang the praises of Manny's Mussels saying you could drink the broth as a soup. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the broth was too oily. Also, there weren't many mussels. Additionally, the timing of these entrees was terrible. As we were enjoying our appetizers, the mussels and burger were brought out by a food runner. It seemed as though there was no communication between the food runner and the server who later apologized for the food coming out too early. Also, despite noting it on our reservation and actually calling and speaking to someone named Lily, our birthday chocolate cake was again brought out by an oblivious food runner with no candle. I asked him to please put a candle in it, and it was brought out a second time with a candle. Additionally, our first cup of decaf was lukewarm despite our server saying she had just made a fresh pot. Our second cup was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the ambiance. However, the kitchen needs a system to communicate with the servers, food runners, and reservationists in order to make it a better experience for diners.

Grabbed a spot at the bar during a busy brunch. The highlight was the chicken nuggets. Crispy and great flavor. Would return for those and give a 10/10. Service was lacking in all aspects. Drinks never refilled. Didn't receive silverware with our food so that was awkward. Never checked in on to make sure everything was ok. The $20 cheese plate was underwhelming. There was mustard on everything, bread, olives, strawberries, when we first received it and the portion size was small. Two small pieces of bread cut in half? Wouldn't not suggest that as an option even though the cheese itself was tasty.

Absolutely adorable place inside and out! It is such a bonus to have parking on the side for convince. Their happy hour deal was good for drinks but I wish it gave more options for mixed drinks. The food was delicious! This was probably the best smash burger I have ever had!

Lovely Sunday night dinner at The Daisy Tavern. Friendly server who didn't mention any specials. I was happy with my tasty salad and delicious wine. I wish I'd had someone to split the chocolate cake! It was decadent. Yes, Death by Chocolate! So nice to sit outside on a warm evening.

The pizza was AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to fly 2500 miles again to order it. The short rib empanadas were interesting.... Not bad but not sure I would order them again. The chicken nuggets were also perfectly fried. Definitely going back the next time Im in town. Also the service was fantastic and the restaurant was darling.

Stopped in here for brunch, which is new for them according to our server. Everyone was welcoming and pleasant. The decor was warm and inviting with tons of natural light. Our brunch consisted of avocado toast Americana (two eggs, potatoes and breakfast meat), and kids pancakes. Everything was tasty! The kids menu hadn't been printed yet but they have kid's options and provided a kids cup/colorful straw which was much appreciated. I also so they provided hot water for parent to warm a bottle for a new baby (major points). The server and manger were very attentive making sure that we enjoyed everything. We will definitely return. Perhaps for a kid free brunch next time ;)

We ate here after a business meeting on Monday. It was my first time, and my companion had been once before. Outside was confusing as there was only one entrance to the parking lot that wasn't blocked so we had to turn around and try again. We were greeted upon entering and my seat had a fun view of a goat sculpture. My companion started with carrot soup, which she enjoyed, and I had the salmon crudo which was delicious. She had the short rib and was pleased. I had the beet and goat cheese salad. I liked the beets and the crunch from pistachios but learned the hard way that goat cheese can have a range of flavor, and this was far too tart for my taste. I will know to ask in the future.

So, we were so comfortable here, we forgot my wife's purse. Called the next day and the employee located it and held it for my wife. We picked it up last night, thank you for being an awesome staff.

Daisy Tavern was perfect in every way. We thought it would be empty on a Saturday at 5PM, but we were wrong! The bar was packed for college football and most of the front room tables were taken. We got our seat right away and were greeted with a great waitress. What we snagged: -Mocktail and Cocktail. Forget the names, but all delish. -Started with a cesear salad -The OG pizza -Smash Burger (HIGHLY recommend!) We'll 100% be back with a group or to just catch a game at their bar. Plenty of parking too with a lot devoted to them next to a large apartment complex.

Food is tasty here, with lots of good options whether you want Greek food or the typical American fare - I would go Greek, though! Not a huge amount of space inside, but it makes for a cozy spot. You order at the counter, and then the food is brought to you in the back (or takeout to go), and I think it came fairly quickly too. Water pitchers, utensils, and salad dressing are all easily accessible, so we served ourselves with that. Nice spot overall, and I would come back, perhaps for takeout in the future.

I parked right out front and walked in. It is clearly a big take out place but there are tables in the back. I think it is family run and everyone was working hard. I ordered a chicken souvlaki and a small Greek salad. It was ready in about 10 minutes. Loved it! The chicken was fresh, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Just the right amount of lettuce and tomato. The sauce was delish. The salad was also fresh..and rather large for a side (thank you!) with lots of feta and olives. I will definitely go back!

Mixed at best -- decent roast beef, weak sides, and a disappointing cookie…read more I stopped into Izenberg's and ordered the open-faced roast beef. The roast beef itself was fresh and not dry, and the white bread was also fresh, which I appreciated. The gravy was bland, but that was easy enough to fix with some salt and a lot of pepper. The mashed potatoes, however, were a major disappointment. They tasted like instant boxed mashed potatoes, and for a plate like this, that really drags the whole meal down. I also bought an oatmeal raisin cookie because they have a baked-goods display and advertise "Baked in Conshy by Julie." I expected something fresh or locally baked. Instead, the cookie was a sealed commercial product from Randa Bakery in Ronkonkoma, NY, with a barcode, nutrition label, and shelf-stable packaging. That felt misleading based on how the baked goods were presented. Unfortunately, the cookie tasted exactly like a dry commercial cookie: bland, dry, and forgettable. Overall, the roast beef was decent, but the sides and dessert made the experience feel cheap and careless. If a place is going to create the impression of fresh/local baked goods, then commercial packaged cookies should be clearly separated and labeled for what they are.
