An easy choice for a laid back afternoon in King of Prussia. We stopped into Workhorse Brewing Company for a Saturday lunch and walked away genuinely impressed. The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Though a slight miss for the buffalo chicken cheeseteak, as it was dry and under seasoned. Overall, Workhorse is a great place to spend an afternoon. This discouraged us from ordering more than we would have had there been an actual waiter/waitress. The lack of personal interaction was disheartening. The food was decent but nothing exceptional as we sampled the wings. Buffalo chicken egg rolls and cheese steak. We would have opted to order some desert "bombs" as well but again, the lack of wait staff had us reluctant to splurge.
