I can't rave enough about The Strawberry Inn. I've stayed here many times throughout the years and it is just the quintessential solo staycation spot, year round. In the winter, I love just staying in the main rooms or any of the cottages and decompressing, relaxing, staying warm. In the summer, it's the perfect area to go on some great hikes (I recommend Highline, Wildcat, and Fossil Creek of course). The rooms/airstreams are immaculate - with a truly relaxing, rejuvenating aesthetic. I've stayed in the queen and king rooms with couch, desk etc as well as the cottage and airstream which have more space and little kitchenettes perfect for making a small breakfast or reheating some leftovers. Service is really top tier- especially considering everything is hands-off, and there's no physic host/ess property manager on site- but Mike the Elk answers promptly and fulfills all reasonable requests to ensure your stay is just about perfect. We loved our stay at the Strawberry Inn! Such a perfect getaway. I'll preface by saying there were only 2 of us so take that into account. Stayed here for the first time in March 2026. We stayed in Airstream #4 and it was perfect. Very private and a nice view. There are some homes nearby but nothing super close. Loved the chairs, fire table, and the hot tub! Even had elk and deer walk right by the campsite while we were there, it's awesome! The inside of the Airstream was nice! Queen size bed, super comfy. Spacious enough with a couch and mini kitchen and fridge. Even had a TV and wifi. The bathroom does not have a door - so if you're coming with friends, beware! There is a Keurig too. I do wish the properties were spaced out from each other more. You are very close to the other rentals. Especially walking around. Saw tons of families so kids definitely could make the trip. You can easily walk up to Windmill Coffee or the PIEbar! Definitely recommend both. The communication with the staff and concierge was very easy and quick responses. We didn't have any issues during our stay. Truly felt like we were able to step away and be on our getaway. It's such a quiet and peaceful area. Couldn't recommend the Strawberry Inn more! This little hotel is very nice looking, clean and in a great location. Beds are not the most comfortable but they do the trick. The only complain is that is very noisy after 4:30 AM. There was a loud humming noise that sounded like an RV engine, but it wasn't an RV so it was probably some of the AC units from upstairs. Thank god they have a sound machine in the room. Walls were super thin. Right off a fairly busy road where everyone drives either a noisy diesel or a side by side with loud exhaust. It's marketed as a self serve hotel but it feels more like a poorly equipped AirBnb. Make sure to check with owners to know what you need to bring to save you a trip to the grocery store. Cute look and fairly comfy but that's undone by everything else. Also, don't expect to get access to the creek because there isn't any. read more

Good: Communication with the staff is outstanding. It quiet relaxing place with most necessary amenities. Very nice area and the people of Pine and Strawberry are nice and cordial. We stayed in Cottage 15, 2 bedroom 1 bath unit. Full size refrigerator, garbage disposal and walk in shower. Bed slept good and the bath towels soft and comfortable. Walk in shower but no grab bars. Bad: Pull chain missing on bedroom fan. Towel rack fell off the wall. Shower head was clogged and adjustment nearly impossible. There was a knob missing off the cooktop. Linoleum flooring loose and would rise when the furnace comes on. Wifi was not dependable inside the unit. On the front porch the wifi worked perfectly. No ice or ice trays available. No laundry facilities to the best of my knowledge. read more

We've been staying at strawberry inn multiple times since 2020 at a handful of different properties. So much attention to detail with decoration and supplies. The mattresses and pullows are beyond comfy the sheets are buttery soft. Some units are dog friendly they leave a little tote bag with some supplies you may need. The staff are so kind and attentive. I had a great stay in room number four at the main part. I really liked that it had a door in the back that led outside, it let me take the dog out easily. Next time I go I will not bring a dog, but it was great that they gave him a little goody bag with bowls, a towel, and poop bags to use. Prior to check-in you get an email with the door code and Wi-Fi password. I walked into the cutest setup, there was a couch, dresser, bed, and television. I saw the mini fridge and Keurig and that led me to the restroom with stand- up shower and door to the backyard. I ordered some swag in advance, so it was on the shelf next to the coffee maker. I set my dog's kennel up next to the couch so that we had room to play. The TV was on a swivel mount that you could aim towards the bed or couch. There were two remotes, a welcome binder, and a guest list on top of the dresser. Things could be intimidating if you are not familiar with smart devices, so take a breath and everything will be just fine. The towels and bedding are all white, but there is a black/grey makeup towel near the sink. I made sure to scrub my mascara off with it, so I think it saved the rest of the linens. Speaking of the linens, they were so soft, and I need to look into getting some like it for myself. There is a lot of stuff that is within walking distance, so that works out well for an introvert like me. I forgot, there is a little free library right next to room number four! I wanted to finish one of my books so I could leave it there, but I did not get through it. I checked in around 16:00 on Friday and I reserved late check out, 11:00, on Sunday. I ended up checking myself out around 06:00 on Sunday just because I was up and ready to drive back home. read more

If you have this place bookmarked and or if you're thinking about booking a stay here - DO IT. Everything was easy and straightforward - from booking online, making payment, to checking in the day of, to even checking out. We spent this past weekend here and we were lucky enough to secure an airstream. Airstream number 2 was the cutest thing ever and it had everything we possibly needed for the weekend. Plates, silverware, a Keurig, cups, microwave, fridge, blow dryer, and a TV! We had early check in so we arrived at 3:15pm. Finding the airstream was a tad bit confusing though since the email said we were to drive past the white picket fence. It is actually not past the fence but more like in the middle of it. We drove up in down Fossil Creek street several times, lol. We received our lockbox code via email at check in time and inside we went. It is so adorable inside and it was very clean - we were in awe.... The beds were nicely made and the décor / color scheme is super cute. There was definitely enough room for the both of us and there is more then enough room for a third person if needed. I will definitely come back again in the near future! This was such a nice getaway from the Phoenix heat and the hustle and bustle of the city. read more

Though the Creek Cabin is modern, spacious, and clean, the artist rendering of the property is deceiving. We expected a group of cabins nestled in a calm pasture setting. That is not the case for the Creek Cabin or the main Inn, as they are on highway 87/260 in a commercial zone. Creek Cabin shares a wall with Mama Joe's restaurant, and when you are sitting on the patio, their generator and staff out back are disruptive. Between that and the highway noise (side by sides, motorcycles, semi's Jake braking, etc) it is anything but serene. The cabin itself is amazing, clean, and has a comfy bed. It just isn't in the setting we expected. The backyard is rock, not a grassy pasture; however, it does overlook a grassy area (that you can't get to, only see) where we saw Elk, Deer, and birds. Maybe those who stay at the other cabins or Air Steams have a different experience, but we wouldn't know, because they were nowhere near the Creek Cabin. We found it humorous that they provide earplugs if the "nature noises" bother you. I bet most people use them to drown out 87/260. To be fair, the cabin itself is amazing, with a modern kitchen and bathroom, and the hot tub was clean. It's just too bad it's not in a pasture or wood setting as depicted. read more

When you want to get away for the weekend, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We booked for a cabin for 4 people and it was just great! I love the lay out. Very cozy, the cabin has everything you need. I just wish they add boxes of tissues... for people with allergies. They have a fire pit, where we hang out at night, really nice specially in this kind of weather. Cabin is clean, well maintained. They provide dinner ware, cups and glasses, as well as wine glasses. Refrigerator is full size, so if you want to bring food, you have enough space. Or you can cook and warm up food with ease. There's no oven, though, so baking is not an option. It's just a bit pricey, but it's well worth it. There's so much to do in this small town or the neighboring town as well. We are already planning for our summer trip! Good: nice unit, somewhat clean. Beds were comfy and sheets were good. A/C worked well. Sitting on the porch was nice and great to be out of the heat. Bad: Floor boards were not clean. Could clean the outside area and furniture before guests arrive. We were in #17. refrigerator was loud. Fossil creek road where the majority of the cottages are located is a main thoroughfare from residences. Many trucks, semis, fire trucks at all hours of the day use this road. They were very loud. This is why there are ear plugs and a sound machine in each room. We actually left a day early even though we paid for two nights. We wanted a relaxing time away from the heat but we chose going home over loud street noise. I'm disappointed as we were really excited about staying here. Be careful when you book online too. They literally have no cancellation policy and it's somewhat hidden so read the wording. You will lose your money if you cancel. read more

What an amazing weekend we had staying in one of the Airstreams! We sat on the deck in the morning and drank our coffee while watching the squirrels and birds. The days were a bit warm but the AC worked great to cool us off. The Airstream update was super cute with whites and warm tones to provide a peaceful environment. Was headed to Strawberry for the weekend and booked my stay at the Strawberry Inn, I stayed in one of the little cottages on lower fossil rd. From the time I made the reservation to the time I left communication was open and friendly. Although Strawberry Inn is a host-less Inn I never felt as if I was just left to my own devices. On the day of check in you are sent an email that has your directions to enter your cottage and explained the parking situation as well, and for a tip on parking, its best to carpool as parking for two cars is kinda tight as parking is limited. The cottage was super cute and clean, I did have one small issue, but it was resolved so quickly. I truly enjoyed my weekend stay at The Strawberry Inn and hope to be back soon! read more

The Strawberry Inn lived up to all their promises. The "No Host" property was very clean and ready for our check in. We stayed in the Hotel and we were traveling with our 2 dogs. The staff had kindly left a care package for our pups including the cool Strawberry Inn neckerchiefs. Being right on the road and next to Bandits Saloon with a live band, I expected lots of noise but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of construction that all but eliminated those nuisances as soon as we closed the door. The swings and rocked on the patio were well used and we could easily walk to all the great dining options nearby. In the mornings, the Windmill provided just the right caffeine pick me up we needed. First timers and came for an Elite weekend. Beautiful properties with the main lodge and then a lower and upper property. We stayed in one of cute cabins that are dog friendly. Clean and well stocked. No oven but micro, 2 burner stove and full size fridge and freezer. Only drawback is that it sits right on Fossil Creek Rd so when sitting outside it can be noisy with traffic. Inside at night was quiet. Highly recommend! They have a small dog park area that is fenced in which is nice if your dog needs he freedoms to roam while they do their business. If you have a small dog that runs, there are a few areas that they could get under. Also the gate doesn't lock but we used our leash to make sure it couldn't be opened. read more
