What a hidden gem The Studio is! The salon is right in the center of it all on Elm St in Manch, but I had never been in that particular building before, so it was such a treat to see how gorgeous it is inside! The Studio salon is right on the first floor and very easy to find. When I first walked into The Studio I was greeted by one of the hairstylists, who had a smile on her face and made me feel very welcome. She asked if I wanted coffee or something else to drink, which I thought was such a nice touch. The salon itself is beautiful and pristine, which also impressed me. I was early, so my hairstylist Alex Laverriere was just finishing up with another client. However, I didn't have to wait long before Alex came over and greeted me warmly. She also asked if I wanted something to drink and then made me a delicious wine spritzer with fresh strawberries in it! Just what I needed!! As a working mom with two kids, that kind of special treatment can be rare for me, so I was so appreciative of it! But isn't it to get that kind of pampering (as well as to look gorgeous!) why we women go to a salon in the first place? It is for me, anyway! I immediately felt comfortable with Alex--not just because of the yummy beverage either!--but because she's a genuinely nice person. I could tell she truly loves what she does and wants to make sure her clients are happy. I really appreciated how she listened to what I wanted, but I also liked that she offered suggestions and some expert advice regarding products, styling techniques to use, etc. So while I was definitely impressed with the welcoming (yet SO stylish and classy!) atmosphere, I was MOST impressed with Alex's attention to detail and genuine talent. She did such a fabulous job on every single thing--from coloring my hair to cutting and styling it to even waxing my eyebrows. I told her it was the best experience I'd ever had at a salon! Another cool thing was that she took a "before" and "after" pic, so I could really see the difference from when I came in to when I left. Woah!!! Granted, I hadn't had my hair cut and colored in awhile, so the difference was pretty startling, but that also meant Alex had quite a job to do fixing my mess of hair! So the fact that I left looking and feeling beautiful meant she was phenomenal! Overall, I would highly recommend The Studio and would definitely recommend seeing Alex Laverriere! I don't know where to begin, I have been going to The Studio On Elm for some time now. When I went for the very first time I didn't know what to expect, well here I am over a year later. The entire staff is AMAZING!!!!! I always feel welcomed when I am there. They are ALWAYS updating the salon as if it was not already cute, full of energy, and one of most friendliest salons I have been to. Tia is absolutely the best, she will always accommodate my schedule, sees me last minute when I need her in a pinch. I book my appointments a year out just to be sure I am able to work with Tia. The entire staff is wonderful and I would not doubt they would be as fantastic as Tia if she was not available. They have the most amazing hair products and Tia always makes sure I have the right products for my every hair care need. I have never, never left there disappointed, when I leave there I feel like a million dollars. I can not imagine going any where else, the attention, care, laughter, and love I feel when I go there is indescribable. I'm not sure where to start so I guess I'll start like this. I've known Dawna, Holly, & Tia for a very, very long time & then of course, Carly, who joined this amazing group! I followed them to The Studio on Elm and they have all worked on my hair all the way from a trim to foils to balayage to keratin treatments, you name it, they've done it! And then with the addition of Amanda and not one but the two Alex's, this is the perfect combination of talented women I have come to trust to work on my hair. They listen, they advise & they do their job & do it well. They are well-educated, up to date, charismatic, fun & give each & every client their undivided attention! I went to the Studio On Elm for the first time last week to get a cut and color in preparation for my wedding in July. I had ideas for what I wanted and was able to easily communicate that to my hairdresser, Alex Spacone. She was extremely helpful in deciding what would be best and took her time in explaining exactly what she could do in my price range. She was upfront about how what I wanted may take a couple of appointments to achieve, which not every hairdresser explains. We decided on doing a bayalage and cutting a few inches off. It came out exactly how I wanted it to! Every employee there was welcoming and friendly. The salon was comfortable and relaxing. She took her time styling it after and made sure I was 100% satisfied with it. I absolutely plan to book there again and look forward to seeing Alex again to make my hair perfect for my wedding! I recently moved from MA and have been on the hunt for a good hair salon that I feel comfortable with. It's so hard to trust someone who will do a good job. Luckily, I found Alex Spacone and I am NEVER leaving her side. The Studio on Elm was incredibly clean, comfortable and modern. I walked right in and was greeted by Alex immediately. I have been seeing 4 of the stylists at The Studio On Elm since 1997. Started with Dawna the owner, Holly, Tia, and Carly. I know whenever I call, even if its last minute they do their best to get me and my daughter in as soon as possible. I have had most of the services they offer - Cut, color, shampoo, and Eyebrow wax. Never is 21 years have I ever left there unhappy with their work. The entire staff treats you like they are personally your stylist. Always smiling, always respectful and generous. My happiest days are just sitting there getting my hair done. The staff talks to each other, and they are extremely supportive of each other. They are truly a family within their business. I have been to The Studio On Elm twice now and I love it! My mom, sister, and I have been seeing Alex for years now and we followed her to this salon. It's always a little scary going to a new place for hair but we love Alex so much and we all ended up loving The Studio on Elm! It's such a fun environment; it's a small salon with a very good vibe, super comfortable, and they do little photoshoots of your new hair afterwards! I had Dawna as my hairstylist since I was a child. I moved to Connecticut and couldn't find a hairstylist that matched her precision + care. I would wait to come back to visit NH + make sure to schedule an appointment with her just because absolutely no one compares to her quality of work. I recently had my hair colored by Alex. I'm pretty untrusting when it comes to hiring a new stylist, but I trust Dawna + the people she believes in. I started seeing Holly several years ago when she was at a different salon. When I found out she was leaving and going to a new salon there was no doubt in my mind I would follow her to this new place! I'm so glad I did not only to continue seeing Holly but because the studio is such a fun, fresh, trendy environment! All the girls are great and I would trust any of them with my hair! I've seen a couple of the other girls for blowouts and everyone is super friendly! I just moved to NH and was nervous about finding a new hairdresser. I randomly made an appointment online with Alex Laverriere and she did not disappoint! Alex revitalized my blonde hair with some amazing highlights and I walked away feeling great. I love that there is a parking garage next to the building. It's perfect for cold winter days. I highly recommend the Studio on Elm! Dawna was my hairdresser at a previous salon, and I loved the job she did on my haircuts and highlights so much that when she opened her own studio I followed her there! I'm so glad I did. What a transformation! I decided to take it upon my self to dye my hair blue on my own... what a mistake! But the studio saved me and got my hair to perfection! Don't get me wrong it took a few visits to get that blue green tone out of my hair for good, but the first pic is where I stated and the last is the end result. Studio on Elm I moved back to the area and was in need of a great new salon! Quality salons are hard to find these days which I've learned the hard way over the years. I was long overdue for a cut and color (about 14 months) and a friend recommended Studio on Elm. I made my first appointment 3 months ago and i'll be back there tomorrow for my 2nd:) The color was amazing and still looks great 3 months later. That is a tough thing to make happen for us blondes.
