Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this experience. I booked a full wax appointment online and received multiple text confirmations, so there was absolutely no reason for me to believe my appointment wouldn't be honored. This was not just a casual appointment. I specifically scheduled it for the day before surgery because my doctor required me to have the waxing done beforehand. On top of that, it's a holiday weekend, and I drove an HOUR in holiday traffic to get here--only to arrive and find that no one showed up for my confirmed appointment. No phone call. No text. No cancellation. Nothing. If a business allows customers to book appointments online and then sends multiple confirmations, the customer should reasonably expect someone to actually be there. Now I've wasted two hours of driving, have surgery tomorrow, and am left scrambling at the last minute to find someone else who can accommodate me on a holiday weekend. Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. I would not recommend relying on this business for anything time-sensitive or important. read more

do not ever go here! the male worker steven waxed me and I'm pretty sure he gave me pink eye. Also the waxing room smelled like flaming hot cheetos, I'm not sure if that was just the room or that was his odor as well. Either way the waxing gave me a rash on my private parts so I will never be going here again and neither should you. read more

Worst Brazilian wax. I went to Meredith for a Brazilian, she was sweet and nice but she butchered me down there. There was zero prep. She went right in waxing, ripped me a new one. Over waxed most of me and left me raw and in pain for days. Now it's been 2 weeks since then and I have a painful blister because she over waxed it. Also when she was waxing and moving stuff to get in there she did touched (TWICE) on an area that shouldnt be touched without consent. DO NOT go here for Brazilians. I got my first Brazilian mini-vacial today with Amarrah who was quick, easy, and made me feel comfortable. It was great and the vacial was so soothing. Amarrah did a wonderful job!! Didn't get talked through everything or the pressure that was advised on YouTube but overall quick and came out beautiful. I'm thankful for the painful experience haha Thank you! If you get your eyebrows microbladed by Tanya and she messes them up, don't expect a refund. They both start weirdly narrow closer to the nose, one rounds, the other is straight and then angles, they both get wide before coming down towards the ends. They are also lighter than they should be considering my hair is almost black. Don't expect it to be fixed or refunded. At this point I wouldn't want them fixed, she clearly stated that she would not be doing her best work were she to work on me again. According to them it is just one bad stroke and they are "beautiful". Honestly, the part that gets me the most, is that it is undeniably messed up, and her biggest issue was that i offended her by not liking the work. She made some verbal accusations and threats that show me she wants to cover her trail instead of own her stuff. Someone who takes pride in their work should care about what they put out in the world rather than how it makes them feel when they mess it up. read more

Update: The owner of this business called me with an attitude saying I left a nasty review. She didn't once apologize for the horrible service like most owners would've. Yes i left a nasty review because i received horrible service. Please don't visit this place. European wax center will be opening on January 15 in Bedford Wasn't aware this studio uses soft wax instead of hard. In my opinion soft wax should only be used on eyebrows. The waxer was very rough when handling my most delicate parts. She didn't removed all the hair like i asked so i made her go back over it. I also booked a underarm wax but she told me she only had time for the Brazilian. European wax would never do such a thing. When i was done i asked the receptionist about the $10 off for it being my first time she seemed confused so i paid full price. I will never go to this studio again. Great experience ! Very clean office and spectacular and experienced staff. Upon entrance you are greeted with a warm and dimly lit, soothing office with incredible smelling incense-like air. I was relaxed before we had started. These folks are wizards of hair removal and will also provide best recommendations for post care. Only reason I provided 4 stars was because of lack of communications on follow up. They had booked me for 3-4 week follow up and I stated I would call and follow up when it's convenient for my busy schedule. Other than this snafu; I would and will absolutely be back!! I've been here twice so far and my experience was about the same both times. The place itself is very clean and I love the decor. The walls literally sparkle. The two times I've gone, I've gotten my brows done. I haven't waxed in YEARS (always just tweezed) but with my upcoming wedding, I wanted to start shaping them and training them to be nice on their own without having to constantly touch them up. I had Tania for my first visit and she was nice. Not the friendliest, but that is totally fine with me...I'm there for 10 minutes to get my brows done and as long as they come out fine, that's what matters. She did a great job. They came out a little thinner than I'm used to but like I said, I hadn't waxed in years so I think I just wasn't used to it. They looked great, my personal preference is just they be a little thicker but I can't fault her for that since I didn't specify. Overall, a satisfactory visit. Yesterday I had Victoria and she was MUCH more personable. Again, personalities aren't huge to me (as long as you're not an a$$hole) when it comes to this stuff because what matters to me is the finished product. She was very chatty and made my quick 10 minute visit pleasant. On her own, she brought up if I've ever gotten a facial (maybe nodding to the fact I don't have the best skin...very acne-prone and scarred) and I told her I was actually in the middle of a peel-series. She was very interested in finding out what I was doing and my skin regimine. I liked that she seemed to care. The girls are very "sales-oriented" which is totally fine, but it may be something that I'd need to bring up in the future. Based on the cleanliness of the salon, easy off-street parking (hard to come by in downtown Manch), and the results of my brow wax, I will continue to book with Victoria. Not a friendly greeting. You are not permitted entry until you fill out 3 forms they send to your email. They require you to pay and request the tip before the service. Services were pricy and for the treatment I received I was not told how to care for my skin after. Research online told me there were products you should not use and within 48 hours of treatment. I would not have known had I not done the research prior. The woman performing the service was friendly enough, however I was not feeling the royal spa treatment I expected. read more

I went in for a underarm wax and it wasn't til towards the end I noticed my waxer WASN'T WEARING GLOVES. I was shocked but let her finish since we'd already gotten that far. I don't care how much you wash and sanitize your hands you should ALWAYS where gloves when dealing with intimate body parts. OMG also they use STRIP WAX! Ouch! I was highly impressed with this business, and cannot recommend them enough. I walked in, and it is sparkling clean, nicely lit and so professional and chic. It really is that good. Today I had my eyebrows and armpits done, and it was comfortable and quick. I was expecting my underarms to be painful but it wasn't and I adore how smooth they are. Nina was professional and warm, and very helpful. I am so so glad that I made this appointment and went, even though it's a ways from my house. Disappointed. After moving up from NJ I was excited to finally find a wax salon to continue my Brazilians. After my first visit I can easily say, I would rather go to a mediocre chain place like EWC than come back here. At least there, I know there will be procedures in place. While I do not remember the name of the young lady who waxed me, I could tell she was either new or very poorly trained. For starters, she began my wax without wearing gloves! THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSANITARY AND DANGEROUS!!! for both the client and herself. Second, I noticed that used the same wooden stick every time she applied wax, also unsanitary and dangerous (does she not know you can spread diseases this way????) You are not supposed to re dip. Lastly, aside from the lack of sanitation, she hurt me horribly. She re-waxed multiple parts of my area, leaving my skin burning for DAYS. While I will say she was VERY nice and easy to chat with, I left feeling dirty, uneasy, and in unusual pain. read more

Everyone who works here is so passionate about what they do and is always trying to help you achieve a goal of better skin. They offer a wide variety of services from waxing eyebrows to whole body for men and women, and even a selection of spa services. I recently started getting the facials here. If you look at the prices for one they seem pretty steep, but trust me, when you see how much time and effort they put into it you will see why. Only top of the line products that they use themselves, you can see it when you look at how clear their skin is. The ambiance is amazing with the latest remodel and everyone is personable. This was my first wax so I was very nervous. , I am pleased to say that Sylvie was not only a true professional, but also easy to relax with. I've been a habitual shaver for so many years now, and I have always been curious about trying waxing, but all of those horror stories really made me afraid to try it. Prior to my appointment, I went to the web site I did step by step of the recommendation on the tips and tricks also made sure not to shave the area for about two and a half weeks (it is recommended that you wait at least one to two week before waxing). It totally felt like a jungle and was driving me crazy. I could not wait to hear the schwizppppp! of the waxing strip for it to be all gone. So...full disclosure, I only had one waxing done here. It was fine, the employee was Tonya and she was lovely. The salon itself is aesthetically pleasing, seems clean and the waiting room is comfortable. The second time I arrived for my waxing I wanted to return an unopened item (still completely sealed in plastic wrap). It was the Tend Skin which is $21 at The Wax Specialists and about $12 at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Anywho....I was told by the owner Sylvia that she could NOT accept returns due to contractual & legal obligations. I really don't care about silly contracts you sign or the law (don't resell it if you can't). Why can I return the same product to Bed, Bath & Beyond and be a happy customer. Also, they had clear proof I bought the product from their salon. Anyway long story short, Sylvia went into a long drawn out dialogue that was nonsensical considering she is in a service industry. She would not even consider a discount of my waxing service that day to compensate for her not accepting my return. This may be a lovely place to get your hair pulled out but not to get your $ pulled out of your wallet without regard to a customer's wish to return an unopened piece of merchandise. Bye, bye. See you then!" Yes, I have an appointment next month! I'm a LONG time client that pre-books all her monthly appointments for the year! It was my first time getting a wax with this salon and It was the best experience ever. The booking online was really easy and you could change it if it didn't work. I went in with no idea how things worked and the way they did things there and the owner took time to explain and talk to about how they waxed there. I found that very helpful because I was nervous getting the Brazilian wax done. I got checked in and went into the room and Daelynne was the one that did my wax and even though i was nervous she talked to me the whole time and that helped a lol.
