If I could give this place "0" stars, I would…read more This facility is shockingly understaffed and I would NOT under ANY circumstances, recommend ANYBODY using this facility. I have a family member there and when visiting them after check-in, could NOT, get an orderly, nurse or any staff member to check on him! I was told 'we are too busy with other patients!" I am still in disbelief at the treatment he and I received.

In this review I'd like to cover 3 things:…read more Where Dad was when he entered Lemay Where he is now Why you may not want believe me The Past Dad was admitted to McKee hospital in Loveland on the last day of June this year with a diagnosis of aspiration pneumonia and a very angry gallbladder that needed removing. Three weeks later he was ready for discharge but he could not stand without a lift, attend to his own toilet or other needs nor move without significant assistance. He was sleeping almost continuously, and as we were to soon find out, was deeply depressed and was considering taking his own life, just short of his 89th birthday. He just didn't see a way through. Given his condition, his inability to care for himself and the fact that Mom is also in her upper 80s, Kaiser authorized 3 weeks at a skilled nursing facility, which was later extended. Lemay was on the list of approved facilities and had a bed, but more on that process later. The Present This past weekend, here in mid October, Mom, Dad, my sister Sharon and myself headed up to my parent's cabin in the mountains to enjoy the last of the season and I'm happy to report Dad is doing great. He still needs a walker to get around and we have caregivers coming in a few hours a day but Dad is getting his independence back, and is bright and hopeful for the future. On Saturday we were sitting around talking and Dad volunteered that he "100% credited Lemay" for his recovery. The hospital saved his life, he said, but Lemay, and particularly the PT team, (looking at you Anne), brought him back from the brink. Why You May Not Want to Believe Me This is, by all accounts, a great success story, so why shouldn't you believe me? After all, I've done my best to give as honest an account as I can and Dad is proof of it. Because my sister, "Lorraine G" (see below), gives a very different account and to this day asserts that Lemay is a terrible place full of terrible people. So who do you believe? Maybe neither of us. Sites like this are very useful, but have their limits. Maybe the reviewer is having a bad day. Maybe the reviewer happened across an outlier day one way or the other. Maybe the reviewer has a preconceived notion that all facilities like this are places where families put old folks to die. This is why Mom made her decision to place Dad in Lemay not on a Yelp or Google review but on ratings at Medicare.gov which provides verified information about inspections, staffing, substantiated complaints and investigations from the agency that regulates them. Lemay enjoys 5 out of 5 stars there. So by all means, read the reviews here, including Lorraine's, but I'd recommend taking anything here for what it is: an anecdotal account from a source that you have no way of verifying. This ain't a taco you're buying, after all.

I do not recommend sending family, yourself, or anyone here or working here. It's very close to being shut down and I hope it gets shut down with the amount of reports that it gets.

Residents were yelled at constantly and left untreated throughout the day and sometimes even the night. Residents would lay in their own bodily fluids for hours and hours on end. I worked there for about 3 months and throughout those 3 months I saw CNAs and housekeepers taking better care of the residents than the nurses do. The manager Todd does not care nor does he take responsibility for all of the problems in this place. I would not recommend sending your family here and I would also not recommend working here.

I will start with the fact that I've never once had a billing question or issue come up, and out of all the contractors Kaiser works with in this area, this is the only one I've encountered that has not ever taken issue with the set up of my plan or how short/long Kaiser takes to pay out on claims. This makes my life SO much easier, especially considering the other Kaiser contractor for PT in this area flat out refused to see me. Appointment scheduling is easy, as is paying copays and any other administrative matters. Hours for appointments are very flexible and allow for pre- and post-work hour appointments which is great. I have been seeing Zack off and on for TMJ pain with my jaw - first as a way to see if PT could help with the constant dull jaw pain I was experiencing at the recommendation of my primary care doctor, and now again as I prep for jaw surgery later this year that was recommended after PT was determined to be not enough to fix my structural jaw problem. Despite me being his only TMJ patient and TMJ not being a common or easily fixable issue, Zack has been incredibly understanding, willing to work with my strange and likely confusing descriptions of pain levels and pain locations, and open to various techniques to help manage my pain levels. He has used dry needling (yes on my face!), ultrasound, cupping, massage, and more to manage and shift the pain that I deal with. When I wanted to return this year after experiencing more pain with teeth movement as a result of my pre-surgery braces, I was taken back as a patient with no questions asked. I am grateful to receive such great care from competent and friendly providers and front desk staff.

Treatment was for osteoarthritis of the cervical spine. Once a week, for many weeks, I was treated by the same therapist. It's not a practice that I've encountered at all other PT businesses and it irks me, besides not making sense. The therapist, Beth, seemed highly knowledgeable about how to minimize my pain and increase my neck's flexibility. The therapy was varied and progressive, with home exercises prescribed to more quickly reach my goals. All in all, a great place for first-class physical therapy.
