Went in to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday this evening, I've known the bartender Jenn there…read morefor quite a few years and as always she was great, her service is top notch. However, the patrons are as low-life as low-life can be, we came into the bar at 12pm, put our names on the board to play pool and patiently waited til about 1:45am. Right b4 my brother got his turn on the table, an older gentleman came to me explaining the house rules of the pool table as if I was up, like it was my 1st time ever playing pool, I wasn't even up but fine hey whatever. My brother won the table which led to it being my turn on the table, at that moment I had asked Jenn the bartender for quarters for the table which only took about 30 seconds for her to happily change my dollar bill into quarters, but within that 30 secs, patrons who werent even on the table were adamantly yelling my name cause it was written on the board as if I was taking too long after waiting patiently for an hour & 45 mins, at that point I replied i'm here getting quarters. I then proceeded to go rack the balls and this blonde lady (Liz) comes over barking at me about drinking and smoking at the table, which I wasnt doing neither, i simply gave her a thumbs up not saying a word. After racking the balls, I grabbed my que and the bottle of baby powder to sprinkle on my hand and she rushes over snatching it from me saying In a nasty manner that "the powder wasn't the house's" it was privately owned. Again, ok. My mistake for thinking a bottle of powder sitting by the cue rack in the billiard area was there for the use of patrons. I continued to play my brother in pool while getting nasty looks from this woman who was snickering and making nasty comments such as "they must think this is like a business i had managed in the past and been away from for almost 5 years now". To top it all off, when we 1st got there, my brother went to use the men's room and was followed in by a patron of this group wearing a white tee-shirt & this patron actually tried to intimidate my brother in the bathroom unti my brother turned right back around and stood his ground, at this point this guy's whole tune changed, as i'm sitting at the bar talking to my sister in-law, my brother and this fella come out and my brother comes over with this guy following, my brother introduces him to me and this guy starts going on about how he and his crew were basically professional thieves that would rob you & you wouldn't even know it, which again is an intimidation tactic, next thing a friend of his comes over (Matthew) who was actually a nice guy and made pleasant conversation, no complaints here about him whatsoever. But all in all after I had played my brother and won the table, I had basically went over to them and said "y'all can have your table back". When they asked "well who won?" I said it didnt matter, you went outta your way to make us feel we weren't welcome on the table and the message was received and you can have the table, as we started walking out the door, matt had come over to say its your table (again, nice guy) but at that point, it was too far gone & I had explained that to him and he accepted it. As we were walking out the other guy in the white tee started asking "what you dont wanna play?" And I responded "nope its all yours" as we were walking out the door. We basically went in to have a few drinks for my sister in-laws 21st bday and we're made to feel as unwelcome by the patrons as possible. This situation could've ended far worse if pushed further. Hopefully the management of this place reads this review and puts their patrons in place cause we weren't there for any kind of trouble & we spent a good amount of $$ in the less than 2 hours we were there for the unwelcoming experience from scumbag customers as we simply stayed in our corner minding our own business until we got on the pool table where it was made to be known we weren't welcome. These kinda patrons will ruin your establishment. And I surely won't be returning again. Cause in future events I wont be as diplomatic as I was this evening. I wish this place the best, but with patrons being like that, surely the best wont happen & eventually they will find the exact trouble they are pushing for which ultimately comes down more on the establishment. Hopefully you filter out the b/s before its too late.
