Exactly what I was looking for. A laid back chill warm feeling place. Came to town the night before going skiing. Felt like it was off the beaten path at night but that's because I had no idea of the area at day time. Kath the bartender was friendly and inviting. Happened to be half price wings that night and I ordered the mango habanero as opposed to buffalo (being from Bflo). These wings were excellently prepared and man they were "hot" in both senses of the word. So good! The French onion soup was decent. But most of all enjoyed the place and glad I found it. The food is great and service is outstanding. Katt is my favorite bartender and always makes this Pennsylvania bar feel as warm as an Irish pub. Great food and service. Terri our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The prime rib was very good as was the French dip sandwich. My daughters also enjoyed their Caesar salads and French Onion soup. We would have ordered desert as the selections sounded delicious however dinner was too filling. I have been coming to Timbers for years. When I first showed up at Timbers I was hesitant due to working in New York City and hanging out at different places and drinking outstanding cocktails. So, of course, being a New Yorker I had reservations about Timbers. Will all I can say I was amazed with this place. Especially the bartender Terri who I never had the pleasure of dealing with. I love chocolate martinis. With that being said, I was not sure if I was going to get the chocolate martini I've experienced in New York. Being a person that tries to think positive I ventured in, sat down and asked for a chocolate martini. Was I surprised. Terri made the perfect drink AND the best I have ever had. Since then Timbers is my go to. Any time I'm somewhere else I'm always disappointed. I compare my drinks to Terri's all the time. Timbers is my go to for years. Terri is the main reason. The food is good too. But Terri is the reason why I keep coming back. It's just like a hairdresser. You always follow your hairdresser wherever they go. Well the same with Terri. We went as a family last night and had a great experience! The food was good, and we all enjoyed it. Almost all of us had a type of sandwich, but everyone agreed that there were a lot of choices and many things we could have ordered. The staff were friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. My mom & I came here for the line dance event. The bartenders out on the terrace were extremely rude. They weren't friendly and gave a stuck up vibe. They acknowledged we were waiting and my mother and I were very patient and they kept us waiting for 5 minutes until waiting on us. When our food came out the server said "these are for (my mother's name). The bartender very rudely turned around and said "i don't know who that is" and proceeded to walk away. Even after this we still tipped them. I just feel like they could've been a little nicer instead of that "mean girl vibe" my mother and I were getting. read more

We were in town for an indoor waterpark weekend and decided to check out this place for dinner. The look and feel is a fairly well dressed up diner / bar, not much different from many places in this area. The staff was friendly and they sat us as soon as they figured out which empty table we should take. (No big deal just kinda funny). She did say sorry, we have one server tonight which was nice of her to explain. We ordered the fried pickle chips and Mac and cheese balls. The pickles were great! Crispy and full of the dill pickled flavor. (Sorry no picture) I didn't get a Mac and cheese ball though, we got three of them. I also got a Guinness... I ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos...they were not the greatest to be honest. Tasted like someone tossed shrimp with mayo and Pete's hot sauce. All in all the food for me was sub-par but others said theirs was decent. The server was super nice and worked hard to help us the entire time. My husband and grandson went here tonight and they enjoyed it so much my husband asked if I would put in a review since he doesn't Yelp, and I do. . They ate at the bar upstairs and got fast pleasant service from Terri they both said she was great. They got the German Pretzel that comes with sausage and cheese and they loved it. The pretzel was GIANT and delicious. My husband had the French dip and asked for well done fries and they were. He always asks at every restaurant and he almost never gets well done fries. He loved his meal, the meat was seasoned well the au jus was tasty and the bread was as he says... GOOD BREAD . My grandson had a cheese steak. As most teens he didn't give much details but he said..OMG the food was so good. The restaurant itself has a good amount of seating. They even have outdoor seating. It was very family friendly. Was in town visitng local friends, came for lunch on a Saturday. Full disclosure my friend is a childhood friend of one of the owners. This is a nice small, local place. The atmosphere was good, and they were busy and I see why. Our table had burgers, wrap and a cheesesteak. The fries were very nice, that hint of breading/coating, great crunch and good spice. Good bread, my steak was cooked perfectly, fresh peppers and onions. The food was fresh and came out relatively quickly. What's exciting are the expansion plans with an outdoor pavillion. The owner showed us around and talked about what's coming, hopefully next summer. We will certainly come back, to see our friends, sure- but definetly getting another meal at Timbers. read more

The perfect Pennsylvania pub but made out of a barn! Today was opening day! Expanding into oa large patio with more seating and small waterfalls. They have a live band, a karaoke night and such friendly smiley staff. The owners are a lovely couple whose daughter is the bartender. Family owned doesn't get better! They are nestled in the heart of Reeders, PA She explained to me that Timbers Pub & Grill is family owned and family operated, striving on good service and consistent quality food that is reasonably priced. Timbers Pub & Grill offers a unique atmosphere with a downstairs pub and upstairs restaurant. You walk in and it feels like everyone knows one another. They run certain specials on different days. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying there food. You can go for just a drink, drink with appetizer , a wrap, pizza, sandwiches, salads, entrees. We went here last night for my boyfriend's birthday .. what a great find!! The pub itself is small and the people who work there are very welcoming! The food was AMAZING he had a burger and I had a cheesesteak we also shared a large pretzel with cheese together .. there wasn't a bad thing we ate there.. and the drinks so great! The bartender made me a red sangria which was so delicious we kept joking about how she should bottle and sell it!! Honestly if we weren't on vacation this is definitely a spot the two of us would come to on a regular basis ... the downstairs bar looked like a lot of fun also they had live music and it looked like a nice little Saturday night scene.. if your anywhere in the area I highly suggest checking this place out you won't regret it! Had high hopes for a good place to go. But, beware- watch your check. Our meal came to $49.97. on the first check... then after the waitress (Tiffany) took and ran my card I was presented with a charge of $78 with two cheesestakes added on. WE DID NOT HAVE CHEESESTAKES! I pointed out the error and got, gee, don't know how that happened. My card was run for the wrong check and then again for the right one. Her only concern was: " so how do you want to pay for your check then?" I asked how and when I would be refunded. The reply was, "Oh It didn't go through". Only issue was, the notice from my bank and my diminishing total said it did. I had to spend time on the phone to finally get someone to refute the wrong charge. Now I have to wait to get my money back. How many people does this happen to there? Who knows? Will avoid forever. read more

Unfortunately I am disabled and can't sit at a two setter table. When the hostess went to seat us I explained my situation and asked if we could have a 4set (table) she replied that she couldn't do that because they hold the bigger tables for reservations as I looked around and there were plenty of 4 seater's. I finally said no I couldn't sit there and boy was the hostess was pissed. That's who was trying to make us sit. Both had the prime rib specials nothing to brag about and we were just about to pay when this extra charge came on the bill and still had to tip a little double dipping I would say. Now a to the meals...I had Prime Rib y husband had a Spicy Chicken dish. I have NEVER seen prime rib like this! It was less than a half inch thick and more Than a third was pure fat...yuk! The garlic mashed potatoes were a glutinous mass neither tasting like REAL potatoes or a delicate garlic. But the piece resistance was the Green Beans...They were so salty.as to be uneatable.The waitress informed me they were sauted(possibly their brownish color?)in.soy sauce. Thank goodness I.didnt eat more as I have an intolerance to.soy sauce. As compensation, the waitress deducted $5 from our bill. Please avoid if you enjoy a well cooked,fresh and tasty meal.
