Fireside is the nicest seated dining option at Great Wolf Lodge. If you want seated dining it's either this or the buffet. Pro-tip: make an advance reservation. All time slots were open in the morning, but by the time we arrived for dinner everything was completely filled up. It's hotel food, so unsurprisingly it's just OK. You'll probably want to keep things pretty classic with a burger, wings, fries, etc. I was a little adventurous and ordered a Latin chicken rice bowl. It was a little bland, but overall not terrible and the portion was large too. They have a kids menu with all of the standards like chicken nuggets, corn dogs, etc. Plus a full bar, so if you are feeling adventurous you can try the signature Wolf Lodge LIT. We were staying at the lodge for 1 night, so this was a perfectly fine spot for dinner, a the biggest bonus is not having to go outside and brave the freezing Poconos temps. read more

The fireside restaurant near the entrance on level 2 of great wolf lodge looked promising but wasn't as nice as it looked- we came for dinner. We ordered fire-braised chicken nacho stack(2 stars but large portion) , the braised short rib bolognese(4 stars but small portion) and the Nashville hot fried chicken (3 stars). The fries here are better than Buckets by the indoor park. Bbq sauce was good. Best part was the staff who were super friendly and welcoming. Beyond that, probably best to look elsewhere for food unless you're super hungry and don't want to travel far. read more

I was overwhelmed after a day with the grandkids at an indoor waterpark the likes of which I've never seen. They absolutely loved it and I did participate on probably the busiest weekend of the year, Columbus Day weekend. It's amazing that the staff are able to do all they do to take care of everyone. There are several restaurants on premises and we chose this one to celebrate a three year-old birthday. We were seated in the back, which was wonderful for the two toddlers. The staff put several tables together and the atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, and our waiter took care of us very well. I don't know why we expected more of a waterpark restaurant, but the food was mediocre. I ordered the Cobb salad and it was basically a big dish of iceberg lettuce with a few things sprinkled on it., topped with a handful of fake bacon My daughter ordered nachos and it was a big pile of chips with some melted cheese and very few toppings. The hamburger my husband ordered was a little more than the size of a white castle burger And one of our party ordered a steak which was minuscule. Oh, and the bar was out of tonic. read more

The menu was extremely limited due to bad weather and understaffing which I completely understood but the service itself was the real issue. Our waitress openly complained about having to work and mentioned she had never served before. We tried to be patient, but the experience became frustrating fast. We waited over an hour for a simple burger, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't cooked properly, twice. The only positive part of the night was the supervisor and manager who eventually stepped in and took care of us. They were professional and understanding, but by that point the damage was done. Overall, this was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had at a restaurant, especially at a place that's supposed to be family‑friendly and organized. The only reason to go here is because you're tired. It was a rainy day and I was exhausted so we decided to just suck it up and eat a quick meal at the lodge. I expected the prices to be high and was prepared for that. I did not expect to be sat at a table where the seats are duck taped. I did request to be moved (mostly so my son didn't have them ripped open by the end of the meal.) If you are expecting excellence here, you may want to try another restaurant. We ordered the prime rib and honey glazed salmon, soup, and a couple kids meals. The soup came without a spoon, the salmon came without the honey glaze on top (they brought the glaze out for us to pour on because they forgot it, which was cold). The prime rib was overcooked and several items that we asked for that we never received. The point of this review is to not expect 5 star service or food when choosing this restaurant. We won't eat here again. They get three stars for prompt service. But, it took our waitress 10 minutes to come over. There was no silverware and no ketchup at our table. The restaurant was very dark but kid friendly. The kids Mac and cheese was gross. The fries were ok. The "fruit" was an orange wedge, a carrot stick and a celery still. It looked like they grabbed some "stuff" from the bar for drinks and wings. Our dynamite shrimp physically hurt to eat. It was very hard. My chicken bowl was white rice when advertised as brown. Staff is friendly, but my steak frites was not good. Very hard to eat. No flavor at all. Had to use A1 sauce so that's not great. Not worth the price either, should have ordered something else. This is the nicest restaurant inside Great Wolf Lodge, and has a gorgeous bar. If you're celebrating an occasion or would like to have a special dinner without leaving the premises, or just want a nightcap (it's open all day for breakfast/lunch/dinner, and dinner is served until 9pm but the bar is open til 11), this is the one to go for. The food is fine, nothing to write home about but decent enough. If I were on the "outside" I'd expect better quality for the fare, but it's resort pricing, so you kinda have to expect a bit of upcharge, but it's not unreasonable. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare but it's not the most tender and rather tasteless so I had to load it with salt and the aioli it came with. Fries were great though. Cornbread was a little dry. Turkey sandwich was tasty if somewhat salty. The grilled shrimp in the pasta alfredo was perfect. Service is excellent however and our waiter Nick was lovely. Food came out quickly and all the staff are very courteous and helpful. 3-3.5 but bumping to 4 for the overall pleasant experience and the nice atmosphere, and for the convenience of not having to leave GWL (and lose our good parking spot lol). read more

We were a party of 3 on a Sunday night. Not a problem getting in with a reservation on the GWL app. Waitress was attentive and friendly, but the kitchen was lacking. Our Caesar salads came out the same time as our meals. We both had ordered the prime rib meal, so of coarse we barely ate our Caesar salads because we didn't want our steaks getting cold. The prime rib was not cut well. It was a different thickness from one side to the other so both steaks were cooked unevenly. This place is hit or miss. We were happy when we had the same server on two separate visits. He was attentive and friendly. The food seemed to come out quicker with him. The other couple of times it was two different one and the service stunk! One of the times they server overcharged us and we were like WTF? She did some back peddling and eventually it was taken off. Anyway the food options at GWL are limited. This place is a sit down bar & grill type spot. Kids like the food and love the fruity drinks even more. I have been pleased with my usual Nashville Hot Chicken or Smokehouse burger. The salmon seems to be palatable as per the Mrs (but she does enjoy the chili lime chicken bowl even more). Kids like their kids burgers. We generally skip the apps and if we are still hungry we split a dessert. The prices are ok and be sure to make a reservation as it's the only spot you can do so here. We ate here the last time we stayed at Great Wolf lodge. The food was okay, as I expected from the reviews. My husband and I enjoyed some adult beverages and they were yummy. The staff was great! My son told them it was his birthday, and they brought him some ice cream and sand Happy Birthday to him. The restaurant is very nice, and I feel that Great Wolf Lodge needed a restaurant like that. My family likes sit down service, we don't enjoy buffets. There is also a bar area if you wanted to stop in and just have a drink. As expected, it is very overpriced but the food is delicious. This is the perfect spot to grab a bite and a drink while the kids are attending the dance parties and activities. The chicken on the chicken nachos was very soft and flavorful. I also very much enjoyed the flavor of the BBQ wings and the burger which were both cooked to perfection. They currently have themed drinks for Halloween which were also delicious. The facility is convenient, clean, and well themed. And staff is friendly and helpful. While staying at Great wolf lodge we decided to eat at fireside for a nicer sit down experience. The decor is like a trendy lodge and kept up nicely. I was seated right away and they had space for all of us, a part of 6. I ordered two appetizers, one being potato nachos. They were like a bbq chicken potato nachos and were very good. We got the chicken on the side for those who didn't want it. They were very good! I also had an old fashioned which was decent, not too sweet and basic/straight forward. The pour was generous though so that was a good ROI. For my dinner I ordered a French Dip. It was decent, not great. Bread could have been toasted more and the prime rib slices were overdone a bit. Overall, good service, prices are a little elevated for food, but worth it as a more chill sit down spot while at Great Wolf Lodge. read more

I gave this place another chance by eating here again today. We been here 3 times, and it will be the last time I am eating here. I think people.eat here because this js the only option we got since the water park have not a lot of dining option. Let's start with service which is almost none existence. The server fail to let us no that there is no more mini corndogs, I specifically ordered it because my twins can individually pick it up without me cutting it in pieces. They brought the chicken tenders with no ranch and took god knows how long for them to bring it out. I asked for napkins which never came, my fiance has to cut his napkins in half to share it with me. I asked for extra cherry also never came. I was confused how slow these people moves there almost nobody in the restaurant. The amount of people that work are way more than the customers and yet I barely get service. The food is mediocre and are not cheap, for the taste of food I don't think they should be charging that much money for it. However the ambiance of the place are nice and clean. I don't think it is worth to come and dine in here though. I do not think I will be returning. read more

Absolutely everything was disgusting. The "fire chicken" appetizer, says it was chicken but I'm not so sure. The spinach and artichoke dip would have easily been the best thing on the menu if it wasn't served with a handful of chips to eat it with. The burger was close to $20 and I've had better food from Wendy's (more on that later). The main course...well when we asked for grilled chicken in-place of 1/2 a chicken ( with vegetables) we were instead offered the kids chicken strip meal with fries. We pre-purchased a meal pacakge, included the breakfast (the have a family style or few entrees), a $10 lunch credit and then a $20 meal credit, to fire side. Food was good. Was similar to what would have been on the buffet, but better than most on quality. Pancake and/or French sticks, scrambled eggs, mixed fruit plate, some muffins, bacon, sausage and home fried potatoes. All was good, served family style. The dinner was ok traditional Thanksgiving. I did see other guests having different meals, looked good. We enjoyed it. We had different staff waiting on us on our three visits, each were nice, some were better than others. Good was good. I was really hoping I'd be the first reviewer! We are a local family that visits Great Wolf at least once a week, if not more. My daughter absolutely adores this place. When we found out the buffet was closing and they were opening Fireside, my daughter literally etched the grand opening date in her brain. Lo and behold, she woke up this morning and reminded me to make a reservation so we'd be the first ones there! I'm really so glad we were! I am the type of person that loves to try everything a restaurant has to offer, especially when it's just opening. My daughter chose a cheeseburger off of the kids menu and loved it. I decided to go with the French dip sandwich, Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. Sure that may be a lot of food for two people, but that's why they have to-go boxes, right? I'm starting with the Brussels sprouts because I am so picky with how I like these cooked. Truthfully, I would have eaten these off the floor if I dropped one. I'm so glad they had these on the menu. Just an all around great vegetable option to have on the menu! French dip was absolutely delicious! Bread was fresh and the meat was so tender and not fatty at all! The au jus was wonderful and made the perfect accompaniment to my sandwich. I normally prefer burgers when there's one on the menu, but would order this again and again if given the option. Glad our waitress suggested it! Now the Mac and cheese is next level! Came out piping hot and so creamy with a crispy topping that we both loved. My daughter can be semi-picky at times, but she dove right into her Mac without a complaint. Id say it could easily feed 3-4 depending on what you get as an entree. As stuffed as we were from all of the delicious fare we scarfed down, we couldn't leave without trying the Fireside Family S'mores! Who am I kidding? My daughter wouldn't let me live it down if I didn't get it for her! Lol An extremely tasty, fun treat to enjoy as a family. Warm dip with toasted marshmallows! Along side skewered bananas, strawberries, pound cake, graham crackers and homemade potato chips! So good and a great way to end the night! For our drink options we had diet soda and fruit punch and I really wanted to try the Mocktail Raspberry mojito, which I will definitely add alcohol to next time. It was mojito perfection! The service and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. Staff is accommodating and we were checked on frequently to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Drinks were kept full, dirty dishes immediately cleaned off of the table and not once did I find myself looking for my waitress. As busy as they were, she was constantly there and so were other members of the staff. The buffet was our family dinner spot and we visited frequently being that we live so close! Now we can make Fireside our new tradition. Thank you to everyone we crossed paths with today. I wish I would have gotten some names and titles, but I tend to be shy.
