My first time to Sunnyside Up and definitely won't be my last. After driving by for quite some time I finally went in for lunch. Friendly staff, great and very extensive menu, food was delicious and the decor and waitresses and any one else who works there was fun and friendly. After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. After arriving, we got immediately seated. The restaurant is small, but incredibly comfortable. It is split into two sections: a counter area and a dining area that has regular tables. Both areas are minimally decorated, with a couple of picture frames and a decorative fork and spoon on the wall in the dining area. Meanwhile, the counter area has a small candy machine, a poster promoting Lacas cold brew coffee in the corner, and a framed poster. Ambiance felt nice. Daughter got excited when she saw the cold brew poster and tried to order it. Turns out that they didn't have it. So, she ordered regular iced coffee, instead. She liked the ice coffee a lot and it came in a large cup, which she loved. She didn't realize it was free refill. If she did, she would've asked for one to go. She asked for a cup to take the rest of the iced coffee to go. We were hoping the server would be nice enough to top it for her but she didn't. Hubs ordered a plain burger with fries with well done fries. The lettuce tomato and onions was an extra charge. He ordered it rare but it came out medium. Daughter stole the rare part of the meat. LOL. He thought the tomatoes weren't ripe and was disappointed that the onions came chopped and not freshly sliced. He had to ask for mayo to keep the onions in the burger and thought the fries were no big deal. Daughter ordered the sausage biscuits special and she thought it was absolutely delicious. She enjoyed the amount of gravy that was on it. Lastly, I ordered the pancakes with bananas. Server asked if I wanted the bananas inside or just on top. It was good and fluffy. Service was a little slow because our server left after waiting on us and we never saw her again. It would've been nice if she told us so that we don't keep searching for her. We didn't care for the service and will be trying other places in the area. Glad we got to try this place, though. read more

Saturday after Thanksgiving and looking for a new breakfast place in town. We arrived little after 7 am, greeted by smiling gal who took our order and served up some beef hash Benedict and another plate of eggs, meaty combo and pancakes, too. So, everything was hot and tasty. Pancakes were hot and a tad tough due to either over eaten mix or too much flour. Hash Benedict is one of seven Benedict's on the menu and hope to visit again to try another version, side of toast and those broasted potato quarters, seasoned and fresh. Today my husband and I tried sunny side up cafe on manaloking in brick. A brand new spot, friendly staff, and amazing food. I had the jersey benny and it was incredible. The staff also is there for any need you might have. The menu is big and has something for everyone. All ingredients are fresh and super tasty. Right now they have out door seating, take out and delivery. But the inside is all brand new and welcoming. Highly recommend anyone in the area to come stop by, because I sure will! Super friendly service. We moved here dec 2020 and I randomly tried it out as we live off of Mantaloking road. And it has NEVER disappointed. Amazing service, a wonderful staff, good food. I always went in and picked up cause it was one of the only places I could get something to stay down during my first trimester of my pregnancy and the staff has been supportive and helpful every step of the way. Always asking how I am and making little adjustments for me or my husband whenever needed. We finally got a chance to eat in their cute little cafe area in the back and even though there was a rude women who barreled through and cut in front of us and multiple others while I was standing there 7+ months pregnant with twins, they were quick to remedy the situation and get a chair for me to sit while waiting and made sure I didn't wait long even though they were very busy. I passed this place a couple of times and today I was coming back from the hardware store and my little guy and I decided to stop in to pick up lunch. Now we walked in very close to closing so my plan was to just do take out. The two ladies working there were super friendly, very helpful and they insisted that if we wanted to sit and eat we were more than welcome, they had plenty to do before they were closing anyway. So my little seven-year-old wanted to stay, he went on about how cute the place was, so we sat down to order. We never not once felt rushed. The service was great ,always super friendly. My little guy ordered the churro French toast which OMG was to die for. I don't normally order things like that for breakfast or lunch but I got to tell you, if I had to pick a last meal that would be it!!! Soooo good! I ended up ordering a wrap, which I don't normally get but I was in the mood for one, and I ordered the chicken avocado wrap and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for expanding the breakfast options in Brick! We had a lovely breakfast here outdoors with our kiddos and everyone one got what they wanted. Omelettes are diner-style, but not overcooked. Side of hash browns were crispy on the exterior and soft inside. French toast was above expectations. Our only suggestion would be to serve real maple syrup (hey, add a charge, we will pay!) I was excited to see a new spot by my house, so my girlfriend along with myself and children went in for breakfast. The food was mediocre at best, and the set up goes against every restriction for covid and social distancing. Tables so close I could hear the man behind me chewing his food. WOW!!! What a deceiving place!! Thought it was going to be a hole in the wall but it turned out to be a gem!!! Beautifully redone, including the rest room, a bright and tastefully done dining area and the food was great. Our BLT was served with Romaine lettuce instead of tasteless iceberg and a beet infused potato salad. The only down side was soggy French fries and the waffle was too big for the serving plate. took my grand niece and nephew here to celebrate their last day with me before "dad camp" and school. the 8;yr old loved the blueberry pancakes, and she is a fussy eater. the 11 year old ate 90% of his French toast and bacon before he got full...I loved my scrambled egg and bacon sandwich. good food, friendly, prompt service. the grands want to go back for lunch one day! the restaurant is bright, clean, cheerful. no problem parking. we will be back! read more
