We take our grandkids for a week, once a year with no parents. It's very difficult to find activities for all of them because of the age differences. We have 5-17 and the little one misses out of horseback riding or kayaking. Dana personalized a hike with goats and beach fun for all. He had wetsuits for everyone. Boy did we have fun trying to get them on. He made the kids laugh and they loved this adventure. He even gave us a squirt of goat milk. It doesn't come any fresher. This experience was awesome! Dana and Trent took good care of us. Dana communicated often and ensured everything was ready before we arrived. Dana and Trent watched out for us in the water to ensure everyone was safe and that we were having a great time. The surf was head high that day and the period between waves was short. As with any sport dependent upon Mother Nature, you have to be flexible and make the most of the conditions provided on the day you surf. Given that we were novices, we stuck to inside breakers and the white water, which was exciting enough and allowed us to have a lot of fun in the water. For the youngest of our group, the goats helped to reduce any anxiety they might have felt about surfing for the first time. Having lived on the central coast earlier in my life, these guys really embody the warm welcoming spirit of the central coast and surfing the way it was meant to be. If you are at all interested in surfing and you plan to be in the area, give them a call or book a session. It's definitely worth it. read more

Dana was wonderful! This was their first surf and paddles board class ever. I have 2 boys ages 8 and newly turned 7. The younger one was crying a few min before not wanting to learn. He was a bit nervous but when Dana arrives with his goats all the fears were gone! Not in a million years would I of thought that my kids would be able to stand and surf anytime soon but within 10 min they w ere and riding waves! It was crazy! Dana made my kids feel super comfortable and made it so fun they had a blast!! We are going back again for another day of surfing with Dana because the kids begged for more. He also taught them a bit of paddle surfing which I had no idea was a thing. He will bring wetsuits to borrow which was an additional $10 each but so worth it. read more

Dana is a great instructor. He took my 2 kids SUPing on the Pismo creek, on what he called an adventure ride. He is soft spoken, very friendly and super fun. I must say I was at first skeptical if the kids would like it, if it would be worth the money, but the kids ended up having a blast. They had a 2 hour ATV ride right after this, but all they could talk about now is the SUP experience. Totally worth it. read more
