We returned to the front desk, waited again, and when she called us over with "What's up," I explained the issue. She was quiet for a moment, then reassigned us to the main building second‑floor room above the reception area and informed us that no patio rooms were available. Her behavior throughout the check‑in process was discouraging and made us feel unwelcome, which was disappointing--especially considering we spent over $850 for a two‑night stay. The 1st night I called to complain because I heard loud noises coming from the top floor. They told me the guests checked out, but that I could move to the 3rd floor. I did not feel like packing up and switching rooms since they said the guests checked out. I bought ear plugs just in case. 2nd night we heard booms for about an hour before we called the front desk. They told us to give them 10 minutes. They texted me and said they went and checked and did not hear anything. I put in my ear plugs and fell a sleep. The next morning..(today) my bestfriend told me that it was a good thing I bought ear plugs because she heard the loud sounds until 2am. She didnt call because she didnt want to wake me up since I didn't sleep the night before. It was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. I spent about $175 extra for a partial ocean view and I got the view of a parking lot. Spend a little bit more and stay at another hotel. This was our first time…read morestaying here, and while the location is fantastic, several aspects of the experience did not match the premium price. The positives first: we arrived about an hour before check-in, and the front desk kindly allowed us to access our room early so we could put our belongings inside. After traveling with an infant, this was greatly appreciated. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy walking access to the beach, and we also appreciated that beach towels and evening blankets were available for guests. Unfortunately, there were quite a few disappointments. For a hotel charging over $300 per night, we were surprised that there was no complimentary coffee or even iced water available in the lobby, something we've come to expect at most hotels in this price range. Instead, brewed coffee was sold for $4, and unfortunately it wasn't very good. We were assigned Room 104, directly across from the housekeeping storage area. Cleaning carts and supplies were frequently left outside, making the entrance feel cluttered and making it less convenient to get in and out of our room. Our biggest disappointment was the room assignment. We were traveling with an infant and specifically asked if we could have a quieter room so our baby could nap during the day. Despite that request, the room next to us was occupied by guests with a dog that barked periodically, while the room on the other side had young children who were understandably energetic and loud. We have absolutely nothing against families with children or guests traveling with pets--we have a toddler ourselves and understand that noise happens. However, since the hotel knew we were traveling with an infant and the walls are extremely thin, we expected a little more consideration when assigning rooms. As a result, our baby's naps and our overall stay were much more stressful than they needed to be. The restaurant also left a lot to be desired. On our first day we ordered the Meat Lovers pizza, and it arrived with an extremely soggy crust that honestly tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. The following day we ordered a charcuterie board through the QR code at our dine-in table, entered our table number, and yet it was still served in disposable to-go containers. That completely defeated the purpose of dining in. We also noticed the restaurant appeared to be severely understaffed. One employee seemed to be handling nearly everything, and it was obvious they were overwhelmed. This wasn't the employee's fault--it appeared to be a management issue. When guests are paying premium rates, they should receive service that matches those prices. Another issue for families was the restaurant menu. There were very few healthy, kid-friendly options beyond heavily processed foods. We were also told outside food wasn't allowed, yet we ultimately had to order food elsewhere for our toddler because there wasn't anything suitable on the menu. Lastly, the Wi-Fi was extremely poor. I work remotely and travel frequently, staying in beachfront hotels almost every month. This was the first hotel where the internet was so unreliable that I couldn't work at all, even after connecting with the provided password. I ended up having to use PTO because the Wi-Fi simply wasn't usable. Overall, the beachfront location, views, and friendly front desk staff were the highlights of our stay. However, the poor Wi-Fi, disappointing food, lack of basic guest amenities, thin walls, room assignment, and understaffed restaurant made the experience fall well below what we'd expect from a hotel at this price point. With improvements in these areas, this property could be outstanding, but based on this visit, we left disappointed.

And as I mentioned to your management before, I was trying to enjoy my anniversary instead of calling and emailing every issue that I was having which would've distracted me from the nice time I was trying to have please don't make excuses the stay was horrible. I'll never stay again especially due to the horrible customer service I received after I submitted my complaints. And the reason I know this is unacceptable is because the last time I had a horrible experience with a business they knew exactly how to compensate and I have since returned to them with a much better visit . Get it together cottage inn you need to do better .
