I stopped in on my way into town based on a fellow yelper's review. They make fresh treats each day so the earlier you go, the more selection. I arrived at 2pm and was able to get a vanilla cupcake and chocolate chip cookie. They were both excellent and cost me a total of $2! That is a deal. The owner was very friendly and explaining the different items. They had bread pudding, a breakfast cookie, strudel, brownie, etc. They also service soup and sandwiches. It's located in an old house. There are only a few parking spaces in the back. It is a great place to tryout. read more

From New York, and was visiting family in Edgewater. Googled Edgewater Pastries,for the reason wanted to buy a gift for a Family we were visiting. Sweet Boutique popped up. Found a small cute house with a small counter and open back kitchen. Got there close to closing and bought 1 of everything. bread pudding. chocolate Toffee bars. Strudel. Brownies. Bee sting buns. The man was so proud of the deserts his wife made earlier in the day ( homemade from scratch in the kitchen in back) He told me to try the Chocolate toffee bar,and I would be back.( he told me everyone comes back for more) Well it was the best desert ever,and I was back everyday off the week while visiting.I bought 1 of everything they had each day My Aunt also got Bee sting buns everyday of the week ,she told me they were her favorite dessert. My friends had the Sweet Boutique make the loveliest cake to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was a white cake with four layers and the frosting was a soft ombré effect from white to pink. We were really disappointed in our experience with this bakery. We ordered a cake for our one year old's birthday party. The day of the party we went to the shop and they were closed. We called multiple times and received a call 2 hours before the party saying they had forgotten the cake. They did make a cake and delivered it to our house getting it there as the guests were arriving. It wasn't what we discussed because they hadn't had enough time, and really didn't look very good. It did taste good. They seem like nice people but it really isn't the level of professionalism you expect from a bakery and I can't imagine that having been a wedding. I prepaid for the cake and wasn't offered any compensation. read more

We recently went a little overboard for our granddaughters 3rd birthday and ordered a half-sheet cake from the Sweet Boutique - made the cake a bit more complicated by requesting four totally different types of cake to be incorporated into separate squares of the overall Princess-themed cake. The owners couldn't have been more patient and helpful in designing and creating the cake - our family then spent the next week trying to determine which of the four options were our individual favorites (much tougher than it sounds as all four cakes were excellent). This multi-cake option will now be an annual tradition for our granddaughter, and we'll certainly recommend and utilize the Sweet Boutique at every opportunity in the future! read more
