We enjoyed visiting this local bakery with its delicious-looking variety of baked goods! We were first-timers but it definitely won't be our last time! Although we came for, and found, our beloved cinnamon raisin bread by Dutch Oven Co., we couldn't leave without tasting some of the enticing baked goods! The bakery is small, so you won't be able to sit down inside and enjoy your pastries, but the taste of the goods more than compensate for that! And the friendly, customer service will keep you coming back for more. Exciting news was shared about an upcoming Mother's Day Special! (A delicious chocolate strawberry shortcake!) We even got to try a sample of a coconut almond bar! It was very yummy.....not overly sweet and no artificial taste! I loved it! The 5-star ratings are no joke. The Bake Shop is on par with any great pastry or dessert shop or restaurant in a big city. I've tried several items and each one gets better. The browned butter was perfect but then the bourbon butterscotch blondie was simply to die for. The chocolate chip cookies were sooo good. The lemon strawberry crumb cake was just about the best crumb cake I've ever had...and I've had a lot. But my favorite has to be the Kruffins... croissant dough shaped as a muffins and rolled in cinnamon sugar. Do they bring back childhood memories! But as good as the baked goods are, the service is even better. The owners and their staff just make everything so casual, funny, and enjoyable. This may be a small shop, but the flavors aer big and the people are even more on point. This is my go to place. read more

This is hands down the BEST bakery in town. If you are going to splurge on a delicious treat (or one of their savory creations), this is the place to do it! The service is beyond compare. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the nicest group of individuals. The baker, Heather, is one of the kindest people you will meet and is lovely to talk to. She often has samples of her products out to taste, and will happily tell you all about her delicious treats she has available. In addition, she does special orders and large events. Have someone with a diet or allergy need? Don't worry, she can make something for everyone! I've had her make cakes for two different birthdays, and WOW, each was amazing. The cake is the exact texture you'd want it to be and the flavors are top-notch. My personal favorite has to be her scones and cookies. Finding bakeries that are absolutely out of this world amazing are extremely hard... after visiting family in Mims I searched up some local bakeries to visit and this one popped up at the top of the list. The shop is a bit small but don't let that defer you because the desserts are SO delicious that you'll want to buy out all of the store! I got the chocolate cake, which was described to me as a staple on a crying break up night (shes 100% right), not too sweet where it becomes overpowering, it's just perfect and the chocolate flavor is decadent! I also got the key lime tart, coconut cream tart, scones, and a lemon cookie! I couldn't help myself and I did try them all after I got home (hence the half eaten pic) but it was all I could do to not finish them off! MUST try this place!!! You'll be back for more! read more

Heather prepared our wedding cake and it was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. Heather was very accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our decision---even meeting us on her birthday to give us extra samples! We decided on an almond chiffon cake with a raspberry buttercream filling. Holy moly, the cake was so moist, buttery, and perfectly sweet. Our guests are STILL commenting on how awesome the cake was. We still have the cake top, which Heather froze ahead of time for us so it would remain fresh, and we have to hide it from our friends when they come over for dinner because they want it!
