Trust me when I say: you'll smell it before you see it. This dessert place is a must when visiting Sisters. Oh man, they've got it all - ice cream, fudge, coffee drinks, etc. They have options for individuals with df and gf allergies, as well as vegans, which is happy! Something for everyone!! I had a root beer float, something I haven't had since I was a kid, and it brought me so much joy. They use an Oregon-based root beer to make the float which made it extra special and tasty. I can't recommend swinging by enough! read more

I was in Sisters a couple of weekends ago and I need to share the love about this incredible ice cream shop. First of all, love all the flavour options. I was a little overwhelmed with all the potential goodness but eventually settled on the pistachio ice cream. Incredibly delicious! The ice cream is good but not sure why they charge 50 cents extra for a split flavored single scoop. Also, $3 is way excessive for a little doggie cup filled with whipped cream and a cookie. Sno Cap Drive Inn gives away doggie cups filled with soft serve. We will be going there next time instead. read more

We're pretty fortunate to live somewhere that even The laziest of ice cream stores can settle on Umpqua or a Tillamook. However I always have mad respect for anyone who makes their own. I got the Oregon Trail. I feel like hazelnuts are an underused ingredient elsewhere. Big chunks of em with the blackberry swirl in chocolate ice cream. I'm in love. The boy got the blue moon. Tastes like fruit loops. He wanted "blue ice cream" so that's what we got. The wife got the marionberry. All of them were rich creamy and flavorful. Well done! read more

Very cute shop with lots of ice cream options and other sweets. Great indoor and outdoor area for seating. We got a couple different flavor ice creams and a truffle and everything was good. We finished dinner pretty late and were excited that they were still open @ 8:30 while the other ice cream store we usually go to in town was closed. read more

Wow! This ice cream!! Definitely worth the trip to Sisters. We ordered 2 salted caramel, cookies and cream, and marion berry ice cream. All flavors are made by the company. They offer quite the selection of flavors, it was difficult to settle on just one, and a variety of ways to prepare and enjoy the ice cream. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, the dining area clean and tidy, and the service was quick - there was no wait at 7:00 PM on a Thursday summer night. read more

A family favorite for dessert in Sisters, quirks and all. There are no shortage of places to get dessert in town. The classic Sno Cap for soft serve, the newcomer, Cuppa Yo, for frozen yogurt and Ali's, the other choice for ice cream, across the street. BJ's has been in Sisters for a few years, but it feels like longer since the signage references their first location in Florence that opened in 1978. They have a great selection of Oregon-influenced flavors like the Oregon Trail (my personal favorite) and Marionberry, and have generous scoops. It is old-fashioned ice cream, made with no chemicals and no colors. On the downside, they tend to feel understaffed and so the wait can be longer than I'd like. But, there is plenty to see while you wait. They always have a bunch of other random items for sale in the store from herbal teas to Red Bull infused drinks, accompanied by funny signs. I personally wish they had more indoor seating and continued the old school ice cream parlor theme throughout the space. I'm always amused by the amount of blinged out accessories for sale, but never see anyone shopping in that area. Great location in the center of town and good old school ice cream. All the rest is a distraction. read more

I wish Yelp and/or the owner, a real dynamo and pleasant woman, would get the listing corrected. It is no longer BJ's. The ice cream is however made by BJ's in Florence. It really doesn't matter as it is outstanding ice cream served by very sweet people. It is no doubt the best ice cream in Oregon. It is a bit more than ice cream too. Some really super pastries. But of course most everybody goes for the awesome ice cream. The store setting is very appropriate to an old-fashioned ice cream shop. Ordinarily I am not a chocolate fan. But I cannot get enough of the Oregon Trail flavor that others have described so adequately. I also dip into pistachio on occasion. There is something for every taste bud I am sure. My buddy often gets the sherbet and raves about it. it is easy to walk right past the store as it is not obvious. Make sure to check it out when you are in Sisters. read more

Only one person working and there was quite the line for waiting. A lot of the ice cream was out. The ice cream we could get was horrible. Two bites and had to throw it away. A waste of money. Worse first experience at this ice cream shop. Not sure of restrictions during Covid in this small town but she wasn't wearing a mask. read more

Such good ice cream! Fun unique flavors using local ingredients. I drive from bend just to get it! It's under new management so the name will change to Sweet Easy" but the ice cream is exactly the same. Don't be discouraged, due to covid restrictions they will be temporarily closed for revamping but will be back up and running soon! read more

Nice ice cream place in the quaint town of Sisters, OR. Went there while we were camping in the nearby Deschutes forest. They have a nice long selection of ice creams. Very reasonably priced, and one serving comes with 2 huge scoops so you can basically get two diff. flavors. They had Kahlua flavored ice cream which you don't see usually and that was excellent. The other one I tried was Pralines and cream which was very good to.. definitely worth a stop if you like ice cream and are in the area. read more

The most amazing ice cream - my husband gets coconut crunch every time. I love the scones, and now they have espresso. Everyone here is nice, the place is super clean, and we always take company here. I like that the staff wears uniforms. The remodel was beautifully done and we always enjoy the classic old school Johnny Cash music. read more

Yum! I tried two different kinds of ice cream here and they were both delicious! After being highly disappointed at the pizza joint next door, this was the highlight of my evening. The prices are a bit high but when you order one scoop it is truly the amount of two. We had cookies and cream and chocolate chip. They had great flavor! We'll definitely go back. read more

So glad I asked for icecream. This place is legit and the flavors are on point. The service is amazing and they really take their time to let you sample and make a great choice. The peach icecream is amazing. I ordered the coconut while my husband had the coffe caramel cookie. Both made with fresh ingredients and you can really taste all the components of it. BJs aren't just... steakhouses. BJ's Old Fashioned Ice Cream is a chain that started in Florence (Oregon) back in 1978. The ice cream parlor in Sisters opened in 2010. Sisters, Oregon, is a small town with a Wild West flair. Having an ice cream parlor with old Coca Cola ads blends right in. I was very sad to find my favorite ice cream store closing temporarily due to covid restrictions. Great news is, they will open again as soon as 50 percent indoor dining is back. The owner, Cara, is amazing and has great plans to reopen even better than before!!! The new name will be SweetEasy, but the ice cream will still be BJ's. read more

I've had this bookmarked for a while and it's been on my to-do list when visiting sisters. I tried the huckleberry ice cream and it was amazing! You could tell it was homemade and the berries were fresh and flavorful. This is a great one to try! I also came back the next day to try to black cherry cheesecake and it was delicious as well. read more

We stopped at BJ's last weekend when we saw the line at Sno Cap was BANANAS and I'm really glad we did! There was hardly anyone there and the ice cream was fantastic. Tons of flavors to choose from and I confirmed with one of the girls at the counter that it's all home made. You can really tell, too- the ice cream is bursting with flavor and has a texture that you won't find in commercial ice cream (trust me, I'm sort of a connoisseur...or should I say cone-noisseur?). I tried vanilla bean, coffee, chocolate peanut butter, and some kind of raspberry swirl. The vanilla bean stood out as my favorite with the raspberry coming up last but they were all good. You'll definitely pay a little more than you would at the Sno Cap but on weekends you'll stand around a lot less and I prefer the product at BJ's anyway. Will make this a regular stop! read more

Definitely the best ice cream between Bend and Portland with a partial view of the original Sisters Crosswalk. We stopped in Sisters to buy liquor, take a spin through the farmers market, try out the crosswalk and of course get some BJs. Don't waste your time on alpaca blankets and that store that sells drawstring cotton pajamas, we were in and out of this town in under 45 minutes. Now that's how you do Sisters. read more

I just found out in the last six months I am highly allergic to coconut this includes coconut oils. I went to BJ's on 101 the north side of Florence two weeks ago, I told the young lady working there that I had allergies to coconut and I need to know what her ice cream base was, she said I was good as long as I didn't eat anything with coconut in it, she even wash the ice cream scooper just to make sure there was not any coconut on it. She was very helpful. Today I went in to buy taffy, and fudge. When I asked the gentleman who was scooping taffy out of the box that it comes in, if he could let me know if they use coconut oil's in their taffy, he said sorry it's not made here he wouldn't know, another person working there said it's on the box. Unfortunately It did have coconut oil's in it. So I asked about the fudge which they say they make there if I could know the ingredients in it, one of the girls that work there took two minutes to look around and said sorry we don't know were to find it. There was three people Working there and only a few customers which only one person was helping them and the other 2 were making taffy bags.It looked like making taffy bags Was more important than customers. So I got to leave without anything because of the lack of customer service from the young staff there. read more

BJ's is a solid choice for some ice cream in Sisters. They have 30+ choices for ice cream. I've tried 4 or so so far and all have been good. Huckleberry and Oregon trail (blackberry, chocolate, and hazlenuts) have been my favorites so far - but I haven't heard anybody complain about any of their flavors yet. The older gentleman that works there is super nice and friendly. The younger ladies were less so but still just fine. Highly recommended! read more

The perimeter crust was cooked perfectly (as you can see in most of the pics) and the toppings were plentiful. As my wife and I bit into our first slice, we both agreed it was really good. My half was basically the sausage and pepper pizza with Calabrian chiles added. I also opted for sausage only. The flavors went so well together and the icing on top was the fresh oregano! I also really enjoyed the texture of the sausage. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars (but wish I could give it 4.5 stars) was that the majority of the bottom of the crust was coated in oil. I don't mind the flavor of the oil, it just made the pizza floppy, challenging to eat the 1st half of each slice, and a mess. I'm hoping a subsequent visit will yield different results. That being said, I'm looking forward to returning. We're kind of a one-trick pony when it comes to dining in Sisters, but this place is going in the mix!
