First time visitor here! I was craving birria tacos and wanted to find a place close to home. I was excited to try the tacos. So they are good. But when my order was delivered, I was bummed by the size of the tacos. Yes...I know how big a corn tortilla is. But expected more for the price. They were tasty, but left me hungry. If it was an order of four, t this would be a different review. The service was great and I have no complaints about the ambiance. I'm still hungry.

AMAZING!! Came here with a family of 5 and the server, Alondria was so patient and helpful!! Food took less than 10 minutes to come out and everything was FRESH and HOT!!! Horchata is also phenomenal ;) will definitely be coming back!!

First time and had to try the birria. I got with a corn tortilla and the combo of the cheese and grilled beef was good. Watch out the orange sauce is very hot. Also took a flyer on the surf and turf tacos and had good results with no fat on the asada, but the taco in general was a bit messy to eat.

First time trying on national taco night October 7th, flavor was there but portion sizing wasn't...it was a street taco so it was smaller tortilla but taco would of been more suitable for my 2 year old, I bought 6 tacos but with this portioning I could of ate 15+ tacos

Food was just barely edible and not cheap. We'll never eat here again. Smallest tacos ever. Eventually we just tossed the food and left. Too loud to even talk. They have Mexican music pumping out on average at 81 db spiking to 95. Above 85 is damaging to one's hearing. Lots of other choices in the immediate area to bother with this place. The counter people couldn't even take our order without us repeating everything 2 tto 3 times. Big nope.

Hard pass......it was a no for us. First off $40 was expensive, second the employee couldn't tell us what kind of meat was in the food. The menu was a little confusing. Drink cups where all one size (M) also expensive. Birria Ramen was way too spicy and meat was super dry. The Birria tacos were super bland. And the burrito my husband got was just gross and bland, jumbled mess. Can not recommend, pictures are so deceiving.

Spent nearly $40 for "Birria" tacos that were tiny unflavored shredded beef tacos payed extra for consume that was flavorless. The "carne asada" was chewy and seemed boiled maybe. Either way it was by far the worst tacos I've had in my life. I feel robbed. Service was fine and restaurant was nice and clean but the food was dog water. Except the fries. The fries are legit.

Tiny... $2 each on taco Tuesday. Imagine paying $2.79 for each.... Buyer beware

Portion sizes comically small for taco Tuesday tacos. No topping bar, meat was below average. Birria tastes like a dried out pot roast tossed in spices. Great vibes and marketing, staff nice, but this place is a huge L for food. Go literally anywhere else for Taco Tuesday. Rip off

We walked in and no customers at 6pm on Saturday. That should have been the 1st sign. The food was so bad. Got carne asada tacos and meat didn't even taste like meat. My friends and I wanted a late night bite and found The Taco Spot on Yelp. We got the birria tacos, birria ramen, and birria fries. Our favorites were definitely the tacos and ramen!!! Wow the inside of the restaurant is cool with lots of cool signs, but I got 6 street tacos almost $30. The wait was almost 15 mins to get my food. The chicken was hard and cold and the birria was super hot but lacked flavor. They did give me a mini napkin and 2 salsa that were big enough for 1 taco each. If you ask questions about pricing as I did, a person pulling order off to the side will gladly and rudely correct you. read more

Took 30 minutes to get 3 tacos. I was the only one there. Staff focused on take out orders. Horchata was watered down and room temp. This is the worst location other Taco Spot locations always have great food & customers service. The mangonada machine never has worked since they opened. My tacos were mostly onions. First time stopping in. initially super excited got in wasn't busy only one table there already eating their food ordered two Carne tacos took 30 minutes to get them! When I finally got the tacos, the tortilla was ripped soggy, and it was just meat and tomato and a whole slice of sandwich cheese underneath. I asked for salsa. She said she had no containers to go anymore. Definitely not worth the time even stopping in here. Ended up just throwing it away. Didn't look advertising or safe to eat at all. read more

Go to the one on 19th Ave and Bethany homes. This one at 320 w bell is ran poorly. They gave my order to someone else when I got there to pick it up...They refused to just remake the order. I couldn't cancel the order. I had to waste more time going through customer service with uber eats.. mind you the employee kept saying he was shown a door dash pick up.. but I ordered through uber eats. The manager said it was my problem and nothing they can do because someone else picked up my order. Just hands down rude. I support the 19th Ave and Bethany homes, spend your money where people are nice. read more

This food was mid at best! My husband saw this place online and couldn't wait to try it. The rice in the burritos was hard, the Birria tacos were flavorless and the ramen was edible only because of the Tapatio noodle bowl. Such a disappointing meal. The service is so slow which is surprising because there was absolutely no one in the restaurant when we came. Definitely go find somewhere else to eat. read more

I came in and ordered two tacos and loaded fries. When I told the woman I wanted the fries with no pico and then ordered the tacos with no pico, she didn't understand me and put pico on the tacos. I called to ask if I could come in and get them remade, in which she put me on hold and then hung up after a few seconds. When I decided to just go into the store and tell her what happened, she then proceeded to argue with me over Google translate saying that she asked if I wanted pico on the tacos and I said yes, in which I definitely didn't. I cannot eat tomatoes. The cooks told her they'd remake it for me, and I gave them the two I had back. The issue was resolved, but the going back and forth between on google translate wasn't very professional. read more

my usual lunch spot was temporarily closed so I quickly had to find something else for lunch. I stopped here and got the 2 taco combo with fries and a horchata. I got my order to go, the staff was friendly, restaurant was clean and had my order ready in like 10 minutes. I live about 5 minutes away and when I ate my fries they were soggy. the horchata is kinda watery, not much flavor. the tacos themselves are ok. the steak.... the texture feels like it was steamed or somethin. flavor is ok but not carne asada to me. I'll stick to my regular taco place and not come here again. read more

Totally not worth the wait or the price. I ordered online and when I got there to pick up they only gave me part off my order. The lady in the front had too look up the order and place the other part and said it would be about 10 minutes. After more than 10minutes they finally had my complete order. Once I got home the torta was soggy. The street tacos had burly and meet and the carne asada fries weren't that great. First time going and we'll definitely not be back. read more

I have visited other locations and everything has always been so good. This location was not the same. The Mango Magic was not available due to machine not working. When I order food they had no carne asada. When I ordered birria was told it would be 20 minutes they were making more. This turned into a 40 minute wait. My order was soggy due to it sitting on a pick-up window and received burnt tacos. Multiple customers complained about items wrong or missing while I was there. This location could do better. I'll go to the one in Glendale. read more

After you order, the cashier hands you a thermal paper receipt. You then take that receipt to the person making the tacos, who takes it with the same gloved hands they'll use to prepare your food. They handle receipt after receipt from every customer and then continue assembling tacos without changing gloves or washing their hands. As someone who pays attention to food safety and hygiene, this was pretty off-putting. Gloves only help if they're changed after touching non-food items. It would be much more sanitary if the order were displayed on a screen, called out verbally, or if employees changed gloves after handling receipts before preparing food. The tacos are excellent, but I hope they improve this part of their food-handling process because it's an easy fix that would make the overall experience much better.

I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

As for the food, the schnitzel and thick French toast were amazing. Baked eggs was great. Coffee drinks were great. We already decided we would come back to try more items, then Flore came up and handed us a small gift card for our troubles. I honestly didn't expect it. They didn't really do anything wrong, but that was just so sweet of her! We have gone back many times for brunch in the following months. The hype has not died down. The lines are still out the door. Following visits, we tried their cocktails as well and they are all good. We used our gift card for a pastry and coffee. People are always kind and genuinely seem happy here (it's a big thing if you want your day to start off good!) It's always a wonderful experience here. Only thing that's hard... I always want to try something different but end up craving what I've already tried, so I order similar items each time I go. But one day, I will try the whole menu. And to be honest, service and sincerity goes such a long way. My interaction with Flore the first time here will always make me be fond of this place. I've been coming to this location for about a year now, but unfortunately the quality and service have seriously gone downhill. On my most recent visit, the food was just bad. We ordered two asada tortas, and they were completely soaked in oil. The bread was so soggy and falling apart that it felt either old or improperly prepared, making it really unpleasant to eat.
