The best carne asada you'll find in Vegas, and most cities if I'm being honest. Not only is their asada marinade so so good but it's a high quality cut of steak compared to what you'll get otherwise. Their meats are grilled over mesquite charcoal. Tortillas made in house! Although I think they could be cooked a little longer because they fall apart pretty easily, even fresh. Tacos are always good but the service needs improvement. Sometimes you'll get a helpful server and at times the one girl that complicates the order. I love the Sonora Taco in a corn tortilla and she always argues that it's in a flour tortilla. She has a hard time understanding that I know and can read it's on a flour tortilla, yet I am requesting it, as requested many times and got it that way , that they make it for me in corn tortilla. Excellent experience on a week night for takeout. I ordered my dinner online, which was easy to navigate. I ordered the carne asada burrito (no beans); pollo quesadilla & mushroom quesadilla. I also ordered a side of guacamole & chips, as well as street corn. The staffs were friendly during pickup. I LOVED both the red and salsa verde for the spiciness and tanginess. I was pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were for our quesadilla, which came with sour cream; guacamole, and pico de gallo! I would give these menu items, a five out of five!I I also ordered an Al Pastor burrito - ate half of it it and threw the rest away. It was really bad - very tough dry chewy pork with no crispy or juicy parts which is what you expect off of the trompo. Volcan pastor and Surf & Turf taco were fantastic. I will probably always order a Volcan pastor taco along with additional items as it is now my favorite menu item. I've had a love-hate relationship with The Taco Stand so far. The food is really good, but the ordering experience needs some work. The biggest issue is the layout. When you walk in, the cashier is a few steps away from the front door so if there's a line, it's hard to see what you want to order. The menu is mounted high on the wall, and I found myself having to step way back just to read it. The restaurant has plenty of space, but the ordering area feels awkwardly designed. On the positive side, the salsa bar was awesome, and there was plenty of seating available. I also had trouble ordering takeout. No one answered when I called, and the online ordering system wasn't working when I tried it. As for the food, it was delicious. I wouldn't order the cactus taco again, but the shrimp taco, battered fish taco and corn on the cob were excellent. Great spot for tacos and burritos whether it's for dine in or take out! The steak and shrimp are incredibly flavorful and fresh. Service was fast and efficient. I am a fan of their salsa bar. They have so many selections to choose from --- from mild to spicy. And their to go condiment containers make it super convenient to transport from there to your table or to go if you're doing take out. oh my gosh - one of the BEST burritos I've had in a long time! seriously I wish this place was a franchise available everywhere. I was visiting Vegas for a friend and she recommended we try this place. we order at the counter and they call our name out for the food. it was fairly busy but we were able to find seating, I suspect they have a lot of of to go orders. The food took a minute to be ready but once it was, it was well worth the wait! I got a California buritto and everyone else got some tacos, burritos, guacamole and chips to share, along with carne asada fries. all the food was SO amazing, my burrito was literally the best I've had in a long time with sufficient fries as well. the carne asada fries were also really good and we took some home so they tasted well the next day too! This place is such a gem in Summerlin. Definitely nicer than your average Roberto's or random taco shops...not that those aren't good, but this place is definitely a step up and fresh! Everything is made to order. The kitchen is clear with glass so you can see everything that's happening. They have a great selection at their salsa bar that is self-serve. I love their carne asada taco and al pastor taco! Definitely add cheese to both! Jaime, our cashier, was so amazing and kind! He was not only generous, but remade our churros because he felt they weren't hot enough. His customer service made our experience amazing. We've dined in but I've also ordered online to-go! Found out there was one of these in Summerlin....so excited...the other one in China town is smaller and a little harder to get into. This one opens at 10 am...so no waiting, plenty of space to sit and eat and a very clean salsa bar. Hub and I ordered two pollo tacos and a bean and cheese burrito to share. I do really like this place! I've tried the carne asada fries, and the corn is definitely my favorite. I'm also glad they have beer options, which makes it a nice spot to stop by. The only downside is that the space is pretty small and can get very busy, so it's not always ideal for sitting down and enjoying your meal. On a visit to San Diego many years ago I had the pleasure of trying The Taco Stand. I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the restaurant but when I saw it here in Las Vegas I thought "it seems familiar." The taste was EXACTLY as I remembered it and I was so pleased. I ordered two carne asada tacos, a camaron taco, and a pescado taco. There were all dressed well, seasoned well, and they were extremely filling. This place is really popular and sometimes the line can go out the door but in my experience there's always seating indoors if you wanted to dine in. The restaurant features an open kitchen so you can sit at the "bar" and watch the staff if you wanted. The restrooms are spacious and wheelchair accessible. The Sonora taco was my favorite and absolutely dare you to try and eat more than two...It's massive!! Almost like an open face burrito!!! New Summerlin location for what I am told is a great California restaurant. Went to check it out the other day, but line was too long and moving way too slow. We decided to try it today. First we stood in front of the register wondering how do we order, there's was nobody taking orders,. I looked around, there were people cooking, but I didn't know how we can get our order in. Finally a young man stepped forward to take our order (no sorry I didn't see you or anything, I first thought the long line was because of the popularity, now I think is a service issue). Being Friday so for us is only fish and cheese. We got the Baja fish burrito, tacos, and a cheese quesadilla extra cheese, that's how we do it fam! Food was decent, but for the price nothing to write home about, just a bit on the bland side. The quesadilla was bomb, but how can you mess up and extra cheese quesadilla? The place is definitely hipstermex with cool little touches like the Chavo/Chapulín napkin dispenser and metal cerveza tables, very Instagramble. This was my first time visiting this location of The Taco Stand. I had only been to the Spring Mountain location once a few years ago so I decided to check this one out while running errands in the area. The restaurant was very spacious and clean and customer service was okay. I was craving fish tacos and it definitely hit the spot. I also tried their Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos, which were just as satisfying. Everything was flavorful and fresh. I ended my meal with their churros for dessert and wasn't disappointed. But I still love and miss Costco's churros. LOL! I ordered their horchata as well but it seemed a little bland so maybe it just wasn't mixed well or freshly made that day. The Taco Stand has fire grilled meats, fresh salsas, and handmade tortillas. This is their second location in Las Vegas. The carne asada grilled al carbon, al pastor is shaved off a spit, and fish tacos are included with cabbage and chipotle salsa. The menu has a variety of taco options and each street style taco was around $4.00 each offering options such as the al pastor with pineapple or the sautéed mushroom option. Some of the other examples include the following Pollo Asado Camaron (Spicy Shrimp) Grilled Pescado (Mahi Mahi) Sonora Taco (angus beef, cheese, beans, guacamole, onions, cilantro, and salsa) The ambiance of the restaurant was a lot of fun. Since there were so many people inside the restaurant, we ended up sitting on bar stool seating, overlooking the open kitchen and watching the orders get prepared! The Taco Stand can get busy fast. I'd recommend coming earlier to avoid the wait time during the evening hours. I ended up getting the Al Pastor Taco and the Carne Asada. My favorite was the Carne Asada. As a taco lover, I was very ecstatic to see this spot open up near me, since I've only heard wonderful reviews about this place. As soon as we opened the doors, we noticed there was a line wrapped around the restaurant with every table filled with patrons. There was a bit of a wait, but it gave me enough time to snag a table while my husband waited to order our meals. When I sat down, I noticed the table had drink holders on the side, which made things very convenient, especially when you order a ton of food. These useful contraptions held our bottled drinks in place, making sure to avoid any accidental spillage. I ordered 3 tacos (Pollo Asado, Camaron, Al Pastor) and my husband ordered 3 as well (Al Pastor x2, Baja) with a side of their Carne Asada Fries and a couple bottled drinks. Even though we waited for quite some time, the food came out freshly prepared and piping hot. All of the tacos were packed with fresh veggies, homemade salsa and perfectly seasoned meats/seafood. The freshly made tortillas were soft, pliable and very flavorful. The fries were nice and crispy, the guacamole was pretty good, but the Carne Asada was cut in big pieces and lacked a bit of flavor.
