After a disappointing situation at a neighboring business, about to drive off and find food elsewhere, the light glimmered off the Tacos Los Barrios sign as if they knew we were hungry and looking for a good meal. After our great experience at another Tacos Los Barrios location, we knew it would be a great choice. After no time at all, we found ourselves staring down the "Fry-Day Special" which was massive! $9.99 for loaded carne asada fries with guacamole and cheese (with pico and sour cream on the side, although it comes with beans too normally). It was so much food, the tasty carne asada and crispy salty fries turned our day around! Service was friendly, food came out quick, and seating was much more spacious than the Henderson location; it would be our go-to location if it wasn't 30 minutes from us haha. Tacos are good, not great, but I'd come back for their taco tuesdays. There's a decent amount of meat on each taco, although the meat itself is hit or miss. Al pastor was just ok, and I liked the carne asada a bit more. It's also a rare taco spot with lengua, which unfortunately is not included in their specials. Lengua itself is pretty good although could be better, but I'm just happy to have the option. I'm not sure why, but some of their tortillas were disproportionately more greasy than others and this didn't seem to correlate with the type of meat that was in it. read more

So was in the mood for taco Tuesday kind of day. I notice taco shop that took place of something else for sometime now. It close to my house so why not. Guess Tacos Los Barrios might have started as food truck? All news to me being first timer. They also have other locations in Vegas. The meat went with carne asada, el pastor, and birria. They were all tasty would order it again. Like generous with portion of meat. Street tacos more tortilla fold if eat it then meat. I have lived here for TWO YEARS searching for Mexican food that comes close to what I grew up eating in Stockton ca and I was starting to think it didn't exist. Then I found this place. Actually ordered food from here through door dash yesterday as I didn't want to drive that far from where I lived to this area. Ordered the quesaburria which was delicious never actually had one of those before but I was actually impressed with how well seasoned the meat was along with the cheese. Also got the carne asada fries those were just as good for my first time eating that it was actually good. Then finally got a carne asada burrito that burrito was huge probably one of the biggest burritos I've ever gotten and it was delicious. I only went once. I was the only one there at 12:15 on a weekday, although several people came in to pick up door dash orders. I got two carne asada tacos and two al pastor tacos. Both were really good. I love the mini salsa bar. They have four different salsas and cucumbers, radishes, limes, and a few others. Choosing your own salsas is a must have for me for Mexican food as opposed to having to settle for one or two tiny cups of red or green salsa like so many other places give you. Wonderful Service!! First time coming here and off the bat we had a great interaction with the lady taking our order. She helped us out a lot of the best items on their menu and recommended a few items. We got the Carne Asada Quesadilla, 8 Birria Taco + Birria Ramen (side consome), and Churros. I found this by chance and I'm glad I did, one of four locations around town. The business started as a "food truck" and has grown substantially since. Jen at the counter was most helpful and answered my questions, even questions for this review. I was in for a breakfast burrito, (go figure) M wanted something smaller, hum...So as luck would have it the mini breakfast burrito was just the thing, I went Big. I've gone twice now to this location, and the food hits every time! Every ingredient they use is delicious and so fresh on its own. Their birria tacos and consomme are some of my favorites. I recently tried their chile relleno burrito with carne asada, and it was perfect. Not too intense and amazing chile relleno. Their bacon hot dogs are definitely underrated, but I will definitely be ordering them again. For ordering delivery, the food was still fresh and crispy. The workers are friendly. My husband and I had to take advantage of a 2 for one deal that we found on DoorDash for the quesatacos, as well with it we ordered carne asada nachos and Oreo filled churros. The quesatacos were absolutely delicious. So much meat and toppings, one was definitely enough. The nachos came piled with toppings, all the goodies and a heaping portion of guac. Worst interaction ever. 1. Management needs to get deliveries figured out. Made my pregnant girlfriend sit in the store while they tried to figure out if the order went through when the money has already left the account. She had to show them three different screenshots. 2. Also customer service needs to be looked at as well. I wanted to purchase food for homeless people outside away from establishment and as soon as we did I was criticized for the gesture by staff!? This spot screams contemporary, new, hip and is very clean! That's about where the good falls off... I walked in with a co worker to order the 'birria combination plate' for 26.00. Assumably a combo plate would come with some tortilla and maybe rice and beans; we were told the combo only came with meat....that took care of that option altogether. Then both of us ordered the loaded tacos (forgot what they called them) which included each of their meats, sour cream, avocado and cheese. I really, like really, wanted to like this place because they're one of the few places that does green enchiladas for a normal price. So badly that I even tried it twice! But the enchiladas were so dry no matter how much sauce I drenched it in the chicken was dry, the corn tortilla was dry. I'm not sure how they assemble their enchiladas but it might help if they put the cheese inside with the chicken, or even sauced the chicken a little before using it as filling.
