They do have taco Tuesday special...maybe then for the asada but that means driving in to casino parking lot then walking in pass the gambling towards the back of casino where you find thier food court. The food hall was packed because they were hosting a summer block party, complete with free samples from the different restaurants, art & craft vendors and a musician playing guitar and singing. My hubby ordered the Carne Asada Quesadilla Combo with Carne Asada, while I had the Taco Combo with one Carne Asada Taco and the other with Pollo Asado Taco. Today there was a line to pick up the tacos. I have no idea on why the line moved so slow. I tried a Chicken Taco and my husband tried a Pork Taco. BOTH TACOS had why too much salt in them. I almost threw mine out because I'm sensitive to too much salt. The only reason I didn't throw out my taco is because they gave me TONS of avocado that helped to cover up the salty chicken. My husband got some dinner for us picked up from here yesterday. If you're not sure what to order, just stick with the tacos. We ordered a burrito, but it was not wrapped well at all. The flavors are good, but it was difficult and messy to eat due to the poor wrapping skills. The kids cheese quesadilla is a total joke. They made a quesadilla with ONE corn tortilla, which are already small, so you can imagine how small it was when they had that folded in half with barely any cheese. My daughter thought it was just an oversized chip! And also, it did not taste very good because there's just so much corn flavor and very little amount of cheese. We've never had a quesadilla made with a corn tortilla, always with flour from other Mexican food establishments, so the quesadillas from here were a huge disappointment. I had a carne asada bowl. It was mostly filled with rice and then some beans. There was a good amount of carne asada, but in comparison to the rice ratio, it was definitely not enough. The Carne Asada tacos were the best out of the food items we chose. They all came with a good amount of onion, meat and guacamole. Also, the green salsa here is really good! I do like how their tortillas are made fresh. We saw an employee cutting each tortilla with their machine. Theres a shared dining area with the burger spot next door and countertops that overlook their kitchen. It wasn't too crowded for us on a Saturday night. Stopped in for a late lunch on Friday and got a combo for myself and one for my client. Added a quesadilla just in case since he's got a bigger appetite. The way the influencers who take these photos of the food and videos of themselves "taking a bite" made the tacos look bigger than they actually were. Starting to think they're all a bunch of sell-outs. For $4+ a taco, I was thinking the tacos would at least be the size of Tacos El Gordo. My son and I came here to try out the new food court. The food court itself is really awesome. I've been wanting to try these tacos since I saw them on social media. First you're playing per taco or ordering a combination which bundles tacos or quesadillas and a drink. Fair enough. Where things go wrong is these tacos are really small. So small I don't think they're worth the price. If they were outstanding, I could over look the size and price for a delicious bite but, for me these came up short. I've had the carne tacos and the chicken tacos and came back another time to try the carne quesadillas and a chicken quesadillas. Both visits I thought the carne and the chicken were dry and didn't have much flavor. The combo comes with rice and beans and I didn't care for those either, the rice being dry and the beans just watery. There is a salsa bar that you can use to enhance your taco experience. I tried them all and they're pretty decent. Some spicy and others not spicy at all. You order at a counter and sit adjacent to the register or along a bar in front of the establishment. The options for tip are "18%, 20%, Other, or No Tip" - that's crazy, what ever happened to the selection for 10% and 15%??? It's out of hand now. I had 1 of each taco: Hongo (Mushroom), Pollo Asada (Chicken), Carne Asada (Steak), Adobada (Pork). First, each taco comes with a mountain of guacamole on it. That's different? Each meat was high quality and cooked properly. No dry pieces. Nice texture, still juicy. The flavor though? Lackluster. Almost feels like they forgot to season completely! The adobada was my favorite of the mix, because it at least seemed slightly marinated - but still way too light in flavor. The salsa bar ran out of cups. Even though the place as dead, no one seemed compelled to replenish them. I rather just go to Tacos Al Gordo. While not the best, I at least know their tacos have flavor! read more

Being located in the rampart casino makes this place unique especially this location is flourishing with many different relevant eatery's. The ambiance is very cool because it's a part of a unique food court/ dining hall. Their menu is very simple but is very affective offering chicken, al pastor, and carne asada. The reason I feel like this place is delicious comes down to the details of the hand made tortillas, the salsa bar is top tier, and the construction of the tacos is great. The service was just as good as the food and also I have to mention the salsa bar was amazing with the variety brings this taco spot experience the best. All the tacos here were constructed to perfection and I recommend getting the tacos with everything so delicious. Pastor tacos taste best when the meat is cut directly onto the tortilla not cut onto a grill and overcooked. Asada tacos were decent. I didn't try the beans or rice but those beans looked pretty dry. Tacos 1986 is located in the food hall in the Resort at Summerlin (Rampart Casino). I really wanted to like this place but the only items that had flavor were the rice and beans. I got the Al pastor tacos and it seemed like the only flavor in the taco was coming from the toppings and not the meat. On top of it as it seems like a made to order restaurant, both tortillas for my tacos were cold, like right out of the fridge cold in some spots. They definitely needed more time warming up. The combo comes with rice, pinto beans and a drink. Unfortunately, they were out of Horchata so I opted for the Limonada. They also have a salsa bar. I feel like their tacos needed flavor. It came with onion, cilantro, salsa, and a dollop of guac. So I definitely use the chili Verde salsa for flavoring. We also ordered a small side of chips and guacamole. The guacamole was quite fresh, but I feel like it needed some more seasoning onions or some lime. The chip surprised me. It was just a fried corn tortilla which we had to break up. I did not care for the "chips". They seemed fairly busy. They had two workers on the Food Line, one preparing the meat and just the one lady taking orders/payment and calling out the orders when they were finished. I feel like they could use the help of one more staff. The flavor and taste of the tacos did not meet my expectation so I don't think I would come back again. read more

I've tried about 5 times and I can't do it anymore! I love Mexican food and I get comps here so I want to like it very badly. To be fair I've only tried the carne asada tacos and burritos. The meat is inedible unless you like constantly picking out big pieces of grizzle and other pieces that can't be chewed. I've asked every time I've ordered after the 1st time please don't put in pieces that they have a hard time slicing through with the knife. And it's the same frustrating experience every time. Skip this one for sure. Also the service was a little iffy. The girl that was supposed to take orders told us to wait a minute while 3 people (including her) put together one to-go order. It was comical - one person filled the side container, another put the lid on and she put it in the bag. I'd suggest having someone focus on orders and the others put the orders together. The service was amazing, the cashier took the time to explain the difference between food items to me and the manager came to check if we needed anything multiple times. Honestly tho, something about their rice, that my favorite thing i ate, so soft and fresh.
