I love the Taco Stand! I stopped by for a late night meal and was very happy with the decision. This location has a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant with both indoor & outdoor seating and is right by Lincoln Road mall. This place is perfect for a quick meal, any time of day. Even though it was relatively close to their closing time when I stopped by, the staff were nice and worked quickly to serve everyone. I ordered a fish taco, a crispy fish taco and the carne asada taco, a tamarind Jarrito and churros. My favorite taco was definitely the carne asada and I would come back for that taco and the churros alone, but would also like to try their other menu items. The presentation of the tacos when ordered to go weren't appealing, but they are fresh, tasty and affordable. I definitely recommend The Taco Stand and will keep this place in my rotation of Miami Beach eats! read more

Bustling and loud... the interior dining area is around the kitchen, with some tables, some counter space. You can watch the busy staff at work! In the back there is a sauce station with a great variety from mild to insane. Just inside the front door is the register to place orders and grab drinks. The menu includes tacos and, my favorite, burritos! Beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, veggies and more. They have corn and flour tortillas. Guacamole, of course! First time coming here! Got the Baja taco and added avocado. The avocado was on the house because they were out of pescado (which has it) so they didn't charge me for the addition. The taco is huge! The downfall that The Taco Stand opening on my street will be to my wallet and diet is concerning. It is so good, well-priced and worth waiting in the line that there almost always is! Truly, no matter what time of day, there is a crowd which is a good sign. They have limited seating both indoor and outdoor, so often times I just take it to go and eat at home or at the end of Lincoln a few blocks away where there are some benches on the Bay (also half a block in the other direction there is public seating on the pedestrian area of Lincoln road along the fountains!). So far, the secret menu tostones proved to be a little too messy to eat, but everything else has been so good. I am NOT a burrito person (I feel like you get mostly rice and beans), but not here! No rice and beans to be seen, so you're truly getting all burrito. The California is my favorite (don't be deterred by the fries...they had a nice crispy crunch on the inside) and I'm a big fan of acting like I've never tried any of the sauces they have available every time I go. They don't yet have their liquor license (as of April 5), but I heard a rumor they're working on it and will eventually sell margaritas. As of right now they sell beer and sodas. They have bottled sodas and fountain drinks. My one main complaint is the flow of the spot. They need to invest in some double doors lol because right now it's people shuffling past each other to wait in line or get in or out and it definitely can create some chaos. I had a very disappointing experience at The Taco Stand. I live on the beach and stopped by to place a simple to-go order. Instead of feeling welcomed as a customer, I felt judged and treated differently because of the way I was dressed. I wasn't dining in--I was simply ordering food to go. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed based on their appearance, especially when they're supporting a local business. Respect and basic courtesy should be given to everyone. Because of how I was treated, I will not be supporting this business again. I will also be sharing my experience with friends, neighbors, and others in the community so they can decide for themselves where they want to spend their money. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unwelcome, and I won't be returning. read more

The Taco Stand has very quickly become one of my favorite spots! I've been to the Wynwood location but it's been a great addition to have them in Miami Beach now. The staff is friendly, the prices are great, the food is fresh and the sauces are on point. It can get quite busy so it can sometimes take a while to get the food and the freshness/quality does vary at times but still a great taco spot! My favorite is the pescado taco - which is a grilled Mahi Mahi taco. Comes with avocado, cabbage, onions and chipotle sauce. I recently tried their bean burrito and wow. That was generous portion and very tasty. The vibe inside is fun and so is the decor. Definitely a great spot in South Beach! read more

We got 3 tacos each the al pastor, carne asada, and pollo. The al pastor was the only one that was really good and worth the price. The others weren't horrible but nowhere near the pastor one. I'd give the taco stand a 3.5 but since you can't it leans more towards a 3. Six tacos and a drink weren't worth the 40 dollar price tag. Visiting from Vegas and Cali its a nice try to replicate but not what a true taco stand should be. While there arent too many places to sit, Id recommend going on "off hours". One in Wynwood just as good as well, but usually filled with tourists I find. I lived in San Diego for 24 years. I know San Diego/California style Mexican food, and this ain't it. My wife and I have tried this place twice, and both times ended up throwing our food in the trash. The first time, I got an al pastor burrito. I know this dish has its roots in Lebanese food, but it's not supposed to be sweet and overpowered by the taste of cinnamon. Just awful. Tortilla wasn't properly cooked and was gummy. Second time, got a California Burrito. MAYO has no place in a California burrito, and isn't listed in the ingredients, but they put a mayo-based chipotle sauce in it. THAT'S NOT A CALIFORNIA BURRITO! Even so, if you're going to adulterate an awesome item, at least have the courtesy to list the mayo sauce on the menu. My wife had a nopal taco, and they didn't even warm the nopales through, let alone cook them - just used them straight out of the can. Awful. Ownership should be ashamed to call this San Diego style food. F'ing disgusting. read more
