My husband and I stopped here randomly when walking in Miami and trying to find a meal- we were super glad we did! We sat in the outside area which was great. Service was good despite not being in the main part of the restaurant. The outside area was cute and vibey. I am gluten free, and our server was knowledgable on what I can/can't have - Mexican food is often easy. The food was delicious and fresh (photos attached)!! The food was wonderful, the service was reasonable and the location is perfect. We ate here three times while in Miami Beach for South Beach Food and Wine Festival. We stopped in the first time during their 4 to 7 M-F Happy Hour and had some great drinks and their salsa sampler. Just a note, we got their just after 4 and had good service at the start but the place packed out and service went to zero. This is a management problem not a server problem. They were just too overwhelmed to give good service. We returned the next day just before happy hour because we'd seen the nachos the day before and wanted to try them. They were the perfect meal for 2 before a 7:30 food event. This time we knew to order water with our drinks so we didn't need service when the happy hour crowd hit. We returned the day after that after a brunch food event and a late afternoon bicycle ride . The place was packed but we were able to get a table on the sidewalk off the street as opposed ti the seating on the walkway which was all reserved. It was a fun place to eat. This time I had the mole and my wife had the aguas chile. Both were good although the mole didn't have quite the depth of flavor and complexity I look for. It was still very enjoyable and the well seasoned refried black beans, rice and corn tortillas complemented the mole very well. Went for lunch. It was hot but they had fans going. Chill music in the background going from rancheras to pop. It Seems like prices went up. We were sat quickly, not much emotion from the stewardess not a hello how can I help you. She was just there. Sat quickly waitress came over and introduced herself. She was quick and kind. Ordered a bottle of sparkling water, shrimp tacos and birria tacos. They were $24 each it included 3 tacos and half a potion of rice and half a portion of beans. The water was $8. I really don't appreciate how they force the 20 percent tip on you and then put on the receipt that that they suggest you leave an additional tip. Why? It was 2 of us 2 dishes and a water. Paid $73 dollars. Food was good, but I would rather go down the street to taquiza or any other taco place and just pay 8 dollars for the taco and leave a tip in accordance to service. These people charge for nothing. Literally. I asked for a dirty martini, no vermouth. They charged me $4 dollars nothing. To omit a drop or two of vermouth. That's called robbery in some sections. Overall, a great option for HH and or Taco Tuesday. The service is a bit unfriendly and they wouldn't give us a happy hour menu, just told us the specials and then tried to upcharge us to get the bigger versions of the drink. My boyfriend asked for a spicy margarita and the waiter said that wasn't on hh but then we looked online at the hh menu and there was a jalepeno margarita on the menu... Anyways, we started with the chips and guac which were so fresh! Freshly made tortilla chips and flavorful guac. The tacos were fine- nothing special but still good. The green hot sauce that comes with it is also great. There are definitely better tacos in Miami Beach but the overall fun vibe, happy hour deal, and decent food makes it a place to return to. read more

We came here late for a weekday lunch. We were just walking Lincoln road looking for something to catch our eye and this place had a stellar lunch special. Now it's more expensive than other Mexican spots but I truly think it was good. I actually shared all the food and drink with my significant other since it was more than enough and filling. Staff were so nice and patient. It wasn't busy so we pretty much had their full attention indoors. The bartender was actually our server even though we didn't sit at the bar. I liked the popsicle drink although I only tasted watermelon and no blackberry. Very good though. Birria tacos were bomb. I had them on a corn shell and it came with a side of rice and beans. Very greasy is my only complaint. I wonder if it's always that greasy cause it was a little too much so. Would come back though. read more

Oh Mexico is an authentic Mexican spot sitting on the corner of Washington and Espanola way, in the hottest and cutest little food corridor in Miami Beach! We were staying at the nearby Loews and wanted a bit of good Mexican along with cocktails for dinner. After a quick search on Yelp and a reservation on OpenTable, we arrived to Oh Mexico! Like many places on Miami Beach, seating is 75% outdoor/25% indoor. Outdoor seating is covered and is fitted with several fans oscillating throughout the tables, which are very much needed and appreciated! Indoor features a few tables and a small bar. Inside opens directly up to the outside, so while two separate spaces, they connect and flow into each other nicely. Décor is old world Mexico and runs through the entire place, even the bathrooms. Inside and out was clean and well maintained. We started our evening out with the house guacamole, which was absolutely delightful! We followed this up with a Mexican Bowl and Fish Tacos. My partner enjoyed the bowl and I really appreciated the fish tacos. The fish was well seasoned and battered, fried to perfection. The slaw was not overwhelming. They were the perfect size for three to an order. To wash down all the tasty bites, we got a few cocktails with the clear winner being the Mango Peach Pop! Who doesn't love a cocktail with a popsicle?! Our only gripe, if you can call it that, was service. Service was lacking from entry to exit starting with a poor experience with the hostess, which was not very pleasant. Once we were sat, it took close to 10 minutes before our server checked in. From there, he was hit and miss with checking in on us and forgot to ring in two things, at separate times, throughout our meal. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Oh Mexico. While the service left something to be desired, the food was great, atmosphere excellent and location stunning. If I could do half stars, I would be comfortable with a 3.5, but since I can't...4 it is. read more

Hidden gem in the Miami Art Deco district! This spot has such a beautiful, bright, and chill vibe -- perfect for unwinding after a South Beach day. The margaritas are next level -- made with real fruit and hands down the best we've ever had! Their nachos are homemade, loaded with fresh ingredients, and so delicious. Just as Yelp says for 3-stars, it was "ok". Evelyn was our waiter, for our table of 7. I believe it was somewhat of her first day/month, as there were multiple questions that we would ask, that she then went to receive feedback from another associate. We all ordered different things, drinks, including street corn, loaded nachos, French fries, and barria tacos (pictured). Barria, I've certainly had better. The street corn might've been what stole the show, I'll be honest. A bonus : Evelyn brought the table a nice variety of hot sauces that the table appreciated, being spicy girls. Overall, the restaurant itself is DOPE. Great artwork surrounding the building, a nice breeze entering the doors if you're seated closer to the front, and there's tv entertainment available. But "vibe" aside, if I'm HUNGRY - this is just an average place to go. Very refreshing. From the appetizer menu we had a quesadilla, chips and guacamole and the tuna tostada. I also had the Al pastor tacos. Service, food and drinks were great. The Al pastor was a bit dry, but still delicious. If you aren't local, be aware that gratuity is automatically added. I took one star off as the total for 3 was $190, which was a bit high. Had the esquite it was I think the most tasty item on menu. Delicious. The margaritas here were fantastic. My group ordered the jalapeno margarita and the kiwi. The ones pictured are the medium size. We had the option for sugar or salt. I tasted both and the jalapeno was both sweet and spicy while the kiwi balanced out the citrus perfectly. The food was equally incredible. I had the birria tacos. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and onion. The sauce was delicious and it came with rice and beans. My partner had the cheese enchiladas. We came for an early dinner. We came here for a late lunch earlier today (on a Saturday around 2pm) and loved it. Thomas was our waiter and took care of us. The food was delicious! Definitely liked the guacamole, and the quesabirria was good with a large portion of protein. The shrimp quesadilla was solid too.
