I was excited to come back to The Taco Stand because I remembered enjoying it the first time, but this visit didn't quite live up to my expectations. There was a pretty long line, and it moved slower than I anticipated. By the time we got our food, I felt like the tacos were good, but not necessarily worth the wait. Don't get me wrong, the food was solid, but I've had better tacos elsewhere in Miami. Maybe it was just an off day, because I remember having a better experience before. I'd be willing to give them another chance in the future and see if it was just a one-time thing.

I really wanted to love the taco stand, but the tacos were just okay and much smaller than what I expected. The best part about the taco stand is their handmade corn tortillas and salsa bar. I tried the Al pastor taco, carne asada volcan taco from their secret menu, and horchata. Solid taco spot, but definitely not worth going out of the way for. SoCal street tacos are just on a different level vs here

If you've ever been to Los Tacos No. 1 in NYC - The Taco Stand very much resembles it. We got there just in time to snag the last available bar stools by the window. I appreciated the fact that our chips and guacamole were given right at the register so we had something to munch on while our tacos were being made. The guacamole was nice and creamy and not an onion in sight which I very much appreciated. All the tacos are made on corn tortillas which is my favorite but they tend to fall apart easily. Thankfully, plastic forks were available for grabs near the soda fountain. The reason for the lower rating is because the entire time we were there the only trash can in sight was overflowing. Not one employee addressed it which was a bit concerning since it seemed to be the only place for guests to throw their trash away at aside from leaving trays at the tables.

In all our visits to Wynwood, we had somehow never stopped by The Taco Stand until this weekend... and oh. my. gosh. It's probably my new favorite in the area! Very reasonably priced with a good amount of filling in the tacos. We also got the mar y tierra fries which was a super generous portion. One thing to note with the loaded fries is that they use a more american cheese-based queso, so if you're not a fan of nacho cheese, may not be for you. We LOVED the fact that there is a salsa bar with a ton of salsa options to customize your bites further. Not much seating inside and it does get crowded around peak mealtime. Everything was solid, would definitely return.

Taco Stand had a long line standing all the way outside! Must be good if so many people willing to wait in line. Had to find out for myself. Ordered the carne asada tacos and the Al pastor burrito. These two were a hit ! The carne asada tacos were flavorful wish I had ordered more than two. Very popular spot and eventhough there is normally a long line the staff was fast and food came out fast. Clean and vibrant spot loved the Chapulin Colorado picture.

With a line out the door all night, you know this spot has a good reputation. Let's Taco bout this iconic location that's small in size but big in flavor! The Taco stand has limited seating inside with an open kitchen where you can see some magic happen. We ordered the carne asada taco served on fresh corn tortillas and made fresh and fast. The Al pastor is aways a must try and I got it in a burrito. Every great taco spot always has to have a salsa bar and the taco stand has all the perfect dressings and salsa's to complement your amazing Mexican dish. Service was fast and ready in no time after your order is placed.

The name the Taco Stand is fitting cause it really is a tiny place. But they are incredible. You order your food right at the cashier, and the girl was so nice. She even told me about a new aguas frescas drinks they had and recommended we try it. The good comes out rather quickly. Mind you it's made to order so there is a little wait. But you can spend some time at the sauce bar getting all you may need for your experience. This time we got al pastor, chicken and carne asada tacos along with carne asada fries. Those fries were to die for!! It's covered in a cheese sauce with the carne asada an its so amazing!! The horchata was also delicious. They come bottled which is convenient if you're taking it on the go. Definitely one of the top Mexican spots in Wynwood. Check em out!

As we asked around the area we were hanging out, many recommended this place. And as we should, we followed those suggestions. The line wasn't too bad but when we got there it was a little wait. The place was popping and full of people. Smelled great inside so that was a good sign. We ordered a few different tacos and the asada fries. The fries were solid. Tasty. And for the tacos I want to say my favorite was the nopal or the asada. But either way the food was good. Not your typical Mexican food as I'm used to from Texas but I'd eat here again.

Our party of four rolled up to the taco stand on a Tuesday night around 8pm and it was a SCENE. the place was packed with hungry young people and the 5 guys behind the counter were flying around and just whipping orders out--the chaos was perfection for a hole in the wall taco joint but with the seating space for a larger group. We ordered the carne asada burrito, Camarillo, pesce, carne, and carnitas tacos. And a huge order to carne asada fries. The portions were massive and the price, affordable considering the chain is an establishment in a youthful, gentrified neighborhood. Definitely come hungry and bring friends if you wanna order a ton of food! They also serve beers and have a cooler full of paletas to round out your meal.

The food and service was outstanding!!!! We were starving and this was our first stop. Two burritos (California and chicken). 5 tacos of variety. All were insane!!!!! Pastor, chicken, shrimp and Baja. All were so good. Ice cold modelos right in front. So good!

If you come late in the night, expect a bit of a wait in line (about 10mins this Thursday after 10pm) but it moves quickly. The enticing smell will keep you company. Lots of salsa options- a creamy chipotle, ciltrano. Salsa verde, a fire roasted ( tatameda) and habanero. The tacos- I got al pastor and pescado (grilled Mahi mahi) Size- slightly larger than food truck sized. Al pastor- good flavor but dry each bite. Pescado- I was surprised I enjoyed this a lot. Fish was tender and flaky, the cabbage added nice cool texture and the salsa chipotle was balanced. Maybe an off night for the Al pastor? It's worth seeing if it's a fluke. 3.5 overall- solid option in Wynwood. P.S. Sit at the counter to watch the tortillas being made or a burrito.

This is my favorite taco spot and I haven't reviewed it even though I've been coming here for years. It is always a busy spot, especially at night on the weekends but it is worth the wait. Its got limited seating though. When it gets packed, there may be a wait to get your food. There is tons of colorful graffiti on the walls to keep you distracted while waiting for your food. I always order the Mar y Tierra fries/burrito depending on my mood. They cook the shrimp just right and the steak is delicious as well. For their tacos, I do like the carne asada, camaron, and al pastor tacos. If you need a late night taco craving, stop by the Taco Stand.

Pollo Asado Burrito is a must order. If you want some good late night eats order the Carne Asada Fries. Make sure to ask for sauces or get them yourself from the station. My favorite tacos are the Baja taco and the Camaron taco and Al pastor taco. Bean and Cheese Burrito is a sleeper sooo good. Line does get long most of the time but it does move quickly and the overall vibe there is great. read more

I was back in Miami AGAIN to pick up my suit for the second and final time today. Waiting for my alterations to be complete, I was hungry and decided to walk a couple blocks to the Taco Stand jfor lunch! Going in, there was longer than anticipated wait outside, and after 20+ minutes, I finally reached the front counter. The interior had a decent amount of seating and there was a large menu with options to choose from. I ordered 2x pescado fish tacos, 1x carne asada, and 1x pollo asado burrito. Moving on with my review, the food was great! I found that all of the tacos were large in size, had a wonderful contrast of flavors and fresh chunks of meat! The fish taco contained nice chunks of mahi, and I really enjoyed the creamy chipolte sauce they drizzle on top of it. The steak taco had tender pieces of marinated meat, and guac was very creamy/vibrant! The pollo asado burrito was large, and there was nothing skimped out here! Fresh guac again and tender seasoned marinated chicken. For once, I didn't need extra sauce, but they did have a really nice condiment bar! I was also happy to say that the entire meal with a drink was $28; which compared to my last taco visit is a steal! Overall, I was highly satisifed with my visit, and would come here again if I'm Wynwood. Final verdict 5/5 - good stuff. read more

We popped by here after a Yelp event at the Paradox Museum and I was blown away by the tacos! Every one I ordered was delicious--don't forget to check out the sauce bar to spice things up! Service can be slow but they were super busy so don't let that discourage you, the wait is worth it! Even though it was busy inside, it still felt spacious and comfortable enough to scarf down all these fantastic tacos! read more

My son and I tried out this spot and loved it ! Let's just say that the tunes were popping! Playing salsa had me dancing in my seat while munching. Simple menu and easy to order. We ordered the chicken taco, Taco al pastor and taco Baja. My fav was the taco Al pastor! We had to order the churros They were big came with three and crispy and the sauce on the side was delicious. Oh I ordered an IPA which was great too! The cool thing about this place is that you don't have to wait for a waiter. With a little kid it's easier just to order sit down and then pick up your food once it's ready and that's exactly what we did so when it was time to leave, we picked up and left. They have a sauce bar which I thought was super cute and there is a restroom. There are plenty of tables inside and also a little bar area you can sit and watch them cook. Highly recommend the spot I was able to find parking fairly quickly right across the street. Hope you enjoy the pics. read more

Best Mexican I've had in Miami. Place is authentic and food is made to order. It was busy on a Sunday but they move quickly through the line. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The beer is ice cold beer and reasonably priced. There is a large bar of complimentary sauces and pickles to add to your order. I had the pescado burrito (big portion for $11.76 before tip). Could tell that the fish was fresh. Loved everything about this place. Heading back again soon to try their tacos. read more

I discovered this place on Yelp while searching for something new to try near our Wynwood office. When my boss heard that I was coming here, he was very eager to join me for lunch, professing how much he loved The Taco Stand's tacos. This statement was affirmed when we arrived, and there was a fairly large line out the door. They have a large selection of taco flavors to choose from, but I found myself LOVING their baja tacos. Service is very friendly here, and I found myself coming back several times during my week-long stay in Miami. Despite having tried quite a large selection of taco places in Miami, Taco Stand hands down had the best tacos of them all! read more

We were walking around Wynwood section of Miami and came across this little gem. If you look I almost never give five stars, but this place earned it and then some. It's counter service, with friendly staff. We had a couple local beers and then the Mar Y Tierra Burrito and Al Pastor Taco. Let me tell you this shrimp burrito was amazing. So large and full of flavor, I was stunned. They also have dipping sauces you can choose from and I recommend the "hot" stuff. The Al Pastor Taco was a made from scratch tortilla, with avocado and flavorful pieces of steak. The people that were here were friendly and a good mix of locals and tourists. I found myself at The Taco Stand after researching not-to-miss spots while in Miami. I'm a fan of tacos, so if there's a place that is lauded then I'll make it my mission to try them out. I'm not sure if Miami is known as a taco destination, but the reviews and pics here were excellent so I decided to stop by for a late lunch while exploring Wynwood. What really got me excited to check The Taco Stand out was the fact that they had multiple locations with a cluster of them in Southern California. I've had excellent tacos in SoCal, and while I do believe its due to the ingredients local to the region (kinda like pasta in NYC), my expectations were heightened nonetheless. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by the ordering counter with some seating along the side and extending to the back. There is no table service - you place your order first and are then called when it's ready (they also do takeout). Decor is almost industrial (it looks like a repurposed building), with touches of Mexican aesthetics and music playing. In addition to the aforementioned tacos, they have a selection of burritos, quesadillas, sides, as well as breakfast. I was here for tacos, so I decided on three and chose the al pastor, pollo asado, and baja (fish). The tacos exceeded my expectations - they were generously filled and had great flavor. I couldn't decide which one was my favorite since they were all so good - none of the proteins were dry, and the toppings really brought them all together. Three was almost a little too much though, I underestimated the size and two could have easily been enough (goes without saying, but I still ate them all). Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had an excellent experience at The Taco Stand. I wouldn't overlook this place if you're in Wynwood, they're delivering the goods. read more

This place in Wynwood is busy all the time, for good reasons. There's not a lot of places you can find such affordable and delicious eat. The price is for one taco, but it's pretty loaded and with a good mix of ingredients so you don't have to pay for a bunch of add ons. Not to mention there's a nice condiment station with different sauces, pickled onion, pico de gallo and more, that you can really top your tacos with. I find the fish in my Baja taco too mushy, and the variety of tacos a bit limited. That said, definitely will be one of my choices when I want a quick lunch in Wynwood. Especially one that allows me to save room for ice cream. read more

I was craving Mexican and was in the Wynwood area. Wanted to try a new place and thanks to YELPERS this place stood out with amazing reviews. Had three different tacos and order a side of guacamole and chips. My favorite taco is Al Pastor. All food was fresh and delicious. The guacamole needed more lime and cilantro. BEST TACOS IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! Sorry for yelling at you but this place deserves all the praise. This place is always consistent and that's something I love about them. My favorite taco is the shrimp and the sonora. I can't explain how good they are, you just have to experience it for yourself. My friends also rave about their burritos, specifically the California one. Oh! Their elote (corn on the cob) is real bussin too. Don't be scared away by the lime that often forms, it goes by pretty quickly and trust me it's worth the wait. They don't have that many tables but I've never had an issue finding one. The food was AMAZING!!! The ingredients are fresh and tasty. When they list the spice level of the sauces, trust it because I love a spicy sauce however my eyes are still watery from it. The corn set the tone for a great meal....i smashed it before I could take a pic of it. The service was quick and pleasant. My group came at 6pm on a Monday night and the line wasn't bad at all! The atmosphere and food are authentic and transport you to Latin America. Prices aren't bad either- my three tacos were $11. Highly recommend getting a bag of chips to share and taking advantage of the free salsa bar. My favorite taco was the camaron (shrimp)- it had delicious cheese melted into the handmade tortilla. Staple taco spot in Wynwood! I tried their steak burrito and chicken taco. Both were yummy and filling. It's casual order at the counter spot and we came a couple minutes before closing and waited atleast 15min for the food to arrive. Unsure if it would have been quicker if that was not the case. They have some booths/tables for dine in. For toppings they provide a little toppings sauce bar with some mild to hot sauces and pico/tomatoes. Would definitely grab again. read more

This whole place is a vibe! The spot is on the smaller side, but there is always a line out the door so I had to try it out. I am so glad I did! Decor wise The Taco Stand gives very much street taco shop vibes in the best way! So many neon signs with a counter style service bar and plenty of inside tables. Great for a quick bite and very clean. Good wise the tacos were delicious! The corn tortillas were so fresh and the meat was well seasoned! These tacos are not as small as I was expecting which was great! The Pollo Asado taco stole the show for me! The best part is that the tacos come with guacamole included, which was a happy surprise to me when I opened my taco! The also have a salsa bar that also has pickled onions and pico de gallo, all self serve! Other than Coyo Taco, this is the second most raved taco place in Miami based off of my research so I wanted to try this place out. Came for late lunch and was surprised to find a line although I realized that they probably constantly have a line for this place no matter what time it is. I guess you can say that tacos aren't just a meal, but also a snack as well. - Carne Asada - The steak was very good, but the star had to be the guacamole. Usually I don't really like smooth guacamole, but this one was quite good with its lemon-y flavors. I thought it went very well with the juicy steak. - Al Pastor - Honestly BIG fan. I really appreciated the various textures of the pork from juicy to crispy and I thought it gave the taco a lot of flavor. The other ingredients were okay as the meat was definitely the star. I will say that the way the taco is served is kind of interesting because they wrap each taco in paper which I have never see before. Usually they just give it to you on a plate in an open shape. Overall, a very good taco shop. If I were to choose between this place and Coyo, I definitely think this place would win. First made a stop at Coyo Taco then walked 4 minutes over to this gem as part of our impromptu taco crawl. This place was good, very cute and artsy inside. There was already a huge line by the time we got there around 8pm. The service is kind of slow and it didn't help that the guy at the counter was kind of old and hard of hearing. :( The food itself was good. The pollo asado taco was really flavorful, chicken was not dry AT ALL and nicely packed! They have a self serving counter with salsa and sauces for you to add onto your tacos. I also got the churros which was pretty good. It's 3 for $4 and comes with condensed milk on the side. There's a decent amount of seats, go all the way to the back because it looks busy up front but there's more in the back...including a secret door that apparently leads to a fancy omakase place that charges $300pp... For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. We are very disappointed that the chicken and steak burritos were not seasoned very well (bland) and both were so dry. I couldn't even taste any cheese in the chicken burrito either. I took a few bites and had to give the rest to our dogs. What a shame. My daughter couldn't finish her burrito either. I tasted her steak burrito and it didn't taste like any steak that I have ever tried. So disappointing. The guac and chips were good but they were like a little side dish. So, there went a wasted $50 for lunch. We were still hungry. Since it was a to-go order, we didn't feel like going back all that way again. It was a very hot day. Service was strange. I sat in the car but my daughter went up to the counter to pick up our order. She stood there for a long time in the hot sun and no one helped her. There was a bag sitting on the counter already. Finally when she was helped, the guy said that the bag sitting there was ours!! She was highly irritated fir the poor service. He should have checked to see if his customer was there to pick up the only bag on the counter. In retrospect, we should have tasted our burritos before driving home to taste them but we trusted them. Sorry to say, we won't be going back.

We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.

They are a bit pricey but definetly not more than the average spot around. In fact they are much more affordable than Coyo Taco & tacos and tattoos. Excellent surf and turf burrito. Great salsas and hot sauces. This location doesn't have the Mexican ice cream pops like the locations in the west coast do but they do have freshly made churros. The parking can be tough since the location is in the arts district, but if you order to go on there website and have someone run in to pick the order up it isn't to bad.
