I was excited to come back to The Taco Stand because I remembered enjoying it the first time, but this visit didn't quite live up to my expectations. There was a pretty long line, and it moved slower than I anticipated. By the time we got our food, I felt like the tacos were good, but not necessarily worth the wait. Don't get me wrong, the food was solid, but I've had better tacos elsewhere in Miami. Maybe it was just an off day, because I remember having a better experience before. I'd be willing to give them another chance in the future and see if it was just a one-time thing.

I really wanted to love the taco stand, but the tacos were just okay and much smaller than what I expected. The best part about the taco stand is their handmade corn tortillas and salsa bar. I tried the Al pastor taco, carne asada volcan taco from their secret menu, and horchata. Solid taco spot, but definitely not worth going out of the way for. SoCal street tacos are just on a different level vs here

If you've ever been to Los Tacos No. 1 in NYC - The Taco Stand very much resembles it. We got there just in time to snag the last available bar stools by the window. I appreciated the fact that our chips and guacamole were given right at the register so we had something to munch on while our tacos were being made. The guacamole was nice and creamy and not an onion in sight which I very much appreciated. All the tacos are made on corn tortillas which is my favorite but they tend to fall apart easily. Thankfully, plastic forks were available for grabs near the soda fountain. The reason for the lower rating is because the entire time we were there the only trash can in sight was overflowing. Not one employee addressed it which was a bit concerning since it seemed to be the only place for guests to throw their trash away at aside from leaving trays at the tables.

In all our visits to Wynwood, we had somehow never stopped by The Taco Stand until this weekend... and oh. my. gosh. It's probably my new favorite in the area! Very reasonably priced with a good amount of filling in the tacos. We also got the mar y tierra fries which was a super generous portion. One thing to note with the loaded fries is that they use a more american cheese-based queso, so if you're not a fan of nacho cheese, may not be for you. We LOVED the fact that there is a salsa bar with a ton of salsa options to customize your bites further. Not much seating inside and it does get crowded around peak mealtime. Everything was solid, would definitely return.

Taco Stand had a long line standing all the way outside! Must be good if so many people willing to wait in line. Had to find out for myself. Ordered the carne asada tacos and the Al pastor burrito. These two were a hit ! The carne asada tacos were flavorful wish I had ordered more than two. Very popular spot and eventhough there is normally a long line the staff was fast and food came out fast. Clean and vibrant spot loved the Chapulin Colorado picture.

With a line out the door all night, you know this spot has a good reputation. Let's Taco bout this iconic location that's small in size but big in flavor! The Taco stand has limited seating inside with an open kitchen where you can see some magic happen. We ordered the carne asada taco served on fresh corn tortillas and made fresh and fast. The Al pastor is aways a must try and I got it in a burrito. Every great taco spot always has to have a salsa bar and the taco stand has all the perfect dressings and salsa's to complement your amazing Mexican dish. Service was fast and ready in no time after your order is placed.

The name the Taco Stand is fitting cause it really is a tiny place. But they are incredible. You order your food right at the cashier, and the girl was so nice. She even told me about a new aguas frescas drinks they had and recommended we try it. The good comes out rather quickly. Mind you it's made to order so there is a little wait. But you can spend some time at the sauce bar getting all you may need for your experience. This time we got al pastor, chicken and carne asada tacos along with carne asada fries. Those fries were to die for!! It's covered in a cheese sauce with the carne asada an its so amazing!! The horchata was also delicious. They come bottled which is convenient if you're taking it on the go. Definitely one of the top Mexican spots in Wynwood. Check em out!

As we asked around the area we were hanging out, many recommended this place. And as we should, we followed those suggestions. The line wasn't too bad but when we got there it was a little wait. The place was popping and full of people. Smelled great inside so that was a good sign. We ordered a few different tacos and the asada fries. The fries were solid. Tasty. And for the tacos I want to say my favorite was the nopal or the asada. But either way the food was good. Not your typical Mexican food as I'm used to from Texas but I'd eat here again.

Our party of four rolled up to the taco stand on a Tuesday night around 8pm and it was a SCENE. the place was packed with hungry young people and the 5 guys behind the counter were flying around and just whipping orders out--the chaos was perfection for a hole in the wall taco joint but with the seating space for a larger group. We ordered the carne asada burrito, Camarillo, pesce, carne, and carnitas tacos. And a huge order to carne asada fries. The portions were massive and the price, affordable considering the chain is an establishment in a youthful, gentrified neighborhood. Definitely come hungry and bring friends if you wanna order a ton of food! They also serve beers and have a cooler full of paletas to round out your meal.

The food and service was outstanding!!!! We were starving and this was our first stop. Two burritos (California and chicken). 5 tacos of variety. All were insane!!!!! Pastor, chicken, shrimp and Baja. All were so good. Ice cold modelos right in front. So good!

If you come late in the night, expect a bit of a wait in line (about 10mins this Thursday after 10pm) but it moves quickly. The enticing smell will keep you company. Lots of salsa options- a creamy chipotle, ciltrano. Salsa verde, a fire roasted ( tatameda) and habanero. The tacos- I got al pastor and pescado (grilled Mahi mahi) Size- slightly larger than food truck sized. Al pastor- good flavor but dry each bite. Pescado- I was surprised I enjoyed this a lot. Fish was tender and flaky, the cabbage added nice cool texture and the salsa chipotle was balanced. Maybe an off night for the Al pastor? It's worth seeing if it's a fluke. 3.5 overall- solid option in Wynwood. P.S. Sit at the counter to watch the tortillas being made or a burrito.

This is my favorite taco spot and I haven't reviewed it even though I've been coming here for years. It is always a busy spot, especially at night on the weekends but it is worth the wait. Its got limited seating though. When it gets packed, there may be a wait to get your food. There is tons of colorful graffiti on the walls to keep you distracted while waiting for your food. I always order the Mar y Tierra fries/burrito depending on my mood. They cook the shrimp just right and the steak is delicious as well. For their tacos, I do like the carne asada, camaron, and al pastor tacos. If you need a late night taco craving, stop by the Taco Stand.

I come to The Taco Stand when I'm craving what I call "healthy delicious food"! I love love lovvvvvve their mushroom tacos! I usually order 3 with a side of chips and guac and it never disappoints. It's usually super crowded inside (every time I come the line is out of the door) so it's hard to get a chance to enjoy their super cute decor! However the people who work there are sooooo friendly and fast!! They also sell my favorite sparkling water Topo Chico. You will definitely enjoy this place! read more

The food is good, if they take the time to complete your order correctly. Usually the service has been great, but lately I am very very disappointed. I have been coming here and ordering from this place for years. I have also recommended this place - but their attention to detail is horrible and needs to be addressed. The ambiance is fine and the food is good - IF THEY PUT THE EFFORT IN TO GETTING YOUR ORDER CORRECT. That's a big if. Good luck. read more

The food: they have the best shrimp tacos, and the California burrito is a favorite of mine they have a soft bar which you can pick your sauce but honestly, the food is seasoned well so you don't need it The ambience : it's OK not necessarily a picture per se it's a great place to get with friends and be comfortable and then go it's not for extended dinners The service : it's liquid order your food on one side and then you wait for them to prepare and then you pick up your food, but the wait can be very long because it is in wynwood in a very hotspot area in Miami for me. It's worth the wait I think the price is fair for the amount of food that you receive If you do intend to go, I recommend you go on a weekday earlier in the day like 12 to one after that it gets pretty busy because of people on vacation read more

The tacos are small but they are delicious and reasonably priced! There's almost always a line and at times it can be hard to find seating because it's popping. But it's a really great place if you're craving tacos. We haven't tried their burritos yet but heard good things so that's on our list for next time. However it's really cute inside and it's a fun vibe. Honestly they need a bigger location! read more

This is hands-down, some of the best tacos I've had in Miami. They have a pretty concise and easy to read menu. I highly recommend trying the steak tacos. The juice was falling out of the handmade tortilla, which was so soft and fresh. One of the best parts of this taco stand is that guac is not extra and a nice scoop topped off on each taco that I had. Now the location normally has a line wrapped around the entrance for good reason. Everything is made to order so expect to wait at least 20 minutes for your order. With the high rotation, by the time we got our tacos, we were able snag a spot to sit inside. The churros were absolutely fluffy and warm and paired nicely with the sweet sauce. The Taco Stand is exactly what you are looking for in a no frills, down to earth Mexican restaurant! It isn't fancy or a big space, but the food is delicious, quick and fresh. Highly recommend the carne asada and Al pastor. Our order came out in less than 5 minutes and it was very cheap for the amount of food you get. Solid tacos. I got the Al Pastor, Pescado, and Sonora and all three were good. Al Pastor was by far my favorite though. I liked the sauce bar- great way to mix and match a bunch of different flavors. Personally a big fan of the creamy chipotle sauce. Expect a long line and you might have to wait/post up for a table (especially when you're in a group). Hold onto your receipt until you get your food. They missed one of my tacos originally and we had to find our receipt to prove we purchased the taco. Overall, I'd definitely go back and would recommend to others. read more

I will say this place has probably the top 3 best tacos I've ever eaten so far. The line went out the door and we had to wait for about 15 mins after ordering; however, the wait was 10000% worth it! I would definitely recommend getting the Carne Asad and Al Pastor! They don't skimp out on the filling and toppings. The sauce which was the spiciest was def my favorite. The Taco Stand is the go to for Mexican in Wynwood!! The tortillas are so soft and delicious to accompany your tacos! I tried the Nopal and Mushroom tacos! They were both really good! I had never tried the Nopal so it was a new experience for me and I can't wait to go have more!!! The place itself is really cool! Lots and lots of colors, very festive, boosts your mood as soon as you walk in! They have wall to wall decorations on their walls including the bathroom! One thing I appreciate about The Taco Stand is that their tacos already include avocado! You don't pay extra for it as in other places! That's a big plus in my book because adding additional avocado in each taco can add up! I cannot wait to go back and have more tacos!!! read more

The line actually went by smoothly and the order came out at timely manner--given the crowd. I recommend this spot to anyone who wants a good taco or burrito. When you go to a place that is focused on getting you good, freshly cooked food quickly and they do that very well, then there isn't much more to say. The Taco stand makes great tacos and Mexican street corn on the cob. Wonderful food prepared quickly. You order , give your name, get your sauces, find a seat. Honestly this is my favorite place for a loaded burrito in miami. They are consistent with taste and size of whatever you order. Tacos here are just as good, but I think the burrito options are their star. My favorite menu item is the Mar y Tierra burrito which is loaded with shrimp and steak. I usually accompany my burrito with table guac N chips! They do get a lot of foot traffic because they have become a local favorite but this does not affect their fast paced service. If you have not yet been here come check them out, you won't be disappointed! read more

I've been to The Taco Stand loads of times and it never fails to disappoint. The tacos are hearty, flavorful, and delicious; the Camaron and nopal tacos are my favorites. The burritos pack a punch worth of flavortown but the stand out for me is the corn on the cob with the crema, elote, and paprika; truly one of a kind. The seating area both outside and inside are comfortable and even though you might have to wait for your food because of how busy the place gets you'll be glad you did! read more

My favorite spot for quick bite. Open late night too! The Mar y Tierra burrito is fire and the tacos too. Everything is fresh, the sauces are great to pair and the vibe is fun. I cannot rave about this place enough. The decor, vibe, music, and staff were all so lively and colorful. We all ordered burritos and the first thing we noticed is how great the tortilla quality was. The flavors all worked so well together and were only amplified by the selection of pickled veggies, salsas, and sauces that were available on the side. This place is always busy. The food quality has always been fairly consistent, and the prices and portion sizes are always right on schedule. This place always has a long line and filled with people. Hard to find a table, but persisted. The tacos were well seasoned, sauced, and garnished. The el pastor was perfect, though I do wish the pineapple slices were grilled/charred. The churros were a little undercooked in the middle, which I don't have a strong preference for. I checked out the Taco Stand last week after a coworker recommended it via TikTok reviews. All of the folks working at this location were very kind and helpful. I ordered a carne asada, pastor, and pescado taco along with corn on the cob, which no idea why it's not called by its true name, elote. The pescado taco is grilled fish and tasted fresh, and the carne asada was good, but I've had better versions of both other places. The pastor was the best of the trio. I'm probably too harsh of a critic but after being a Houstonian for eight years, I'm skeptical of tacos outside of Texas. The girls and I popped in for a quick bite after St Pattys day drinks. It was my first time because the line is usually out the door. And I understand now. It's a cute sit in restaurant with good efficient service. I had a fish taco and steak taco. I wasn't very hungry but quickly regretted not ordering more! Lol. Both were delicious. California burrito was amazing!!! I can't stop think about it. The beef was tender and so flavorful, the guac was amazing, and the fries were somehow still crispy inside the burrito. The outside of the burrito was grilled perfectly too. I'm in Broward, but would drive back down to Miami for this for sure. I ordered online for pickup and it took the time that was quoted online. The people at the front were friendly and efficient. The inside was clean, it was moderately busy for a Tuesday during lunchtime but they handled it well. read more

Hey this place is always busy--and it's for a reason! Honestly the only good taco spot left in Wynwood, over the years they have been fairly consistent and the price and size of the food always make sense. Staff is super nice and I love how they're open late. I only eat the seafood or veggie options on the menu and have never been disappointed they even have a great selection of sauces and soda. A staple to the neighborhood for a reason! read more

The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.

The tortillas tasted stale, as if they were from a previous day, and the pork was noticeably dry. This has happened before--sometimes the food is outstanding, but other times the pork is dry and the tortillas are either stale or overly thick. Unfortunately, today fell into the latter category. When spending $100 or more per visit, consistency is extremely important. It's frustrating not knowing whether the food will meet the standard I've come to expect. The first time I visited Miami, my partner and I stopped by to get some tacos. We originally came from California so we've had street tacos from taco trucks in LA and San Diego. The taco stand is hands down one of my top 5 places to get tacos. Let's start off with the al pastor: juicy, extremely flavorful with the right amount of saltiness. The shrimp wears also a favorite: not overdone, juicy and fresh texture, plus loads of Cajun and other mixed flavors as well. The carne asada and mushroom tacos were good too but I recommend the first two! Update: We went back to Miami a second time a month later and came back for more! Consistent quality and service. Everything from the environment to the cooks the food the decor the music is A1 . . . Nicholas rung me up at the register and made me feel like family LOL such a cool employee and Alex also was very nice . . . Anyone that knows me knows I love tacos! When you're in the Wynwood area definitely try this place out! They are a hidden gem seriously. I go there every time I go out with my friends or family. They are a bit pricey but definetly not more than the average spot around. In fact they are much more affordable than Coyo Taco & tacos and tattoos. I get the shrimp tacos and carne asada every time and they don't disappoint! They aren't as busy as the other spots around so it's a much quicker process from the time you walk in to the time you walk out. Excellent surf and turf burrito. Great salsas and hot sauces. This location doesn't have the Mexican ice cream pops like the locations in the west coast do but they do have freshly made churros. The parking can be tough since the location is in the arts district, but if you order to go on there website and have someone run in to pick the order up it isn't to bad. There tacos are great as well if you like al-pastor. It's hard to find authentic Mexican in Florida but this is the real deal. read more
