i ate lunch at tasty freeze. I had a hamburger and fries. The fries were hot and salty and delicious. the hamburger came out with fry sauce that I couldn't eat because I'm dairy free. They willingly took it back and made me a new one. Great customer service. read more

We usually love it here, however this time we ordered a peanutbutter and butterfinger milkshakes. There was barely any pb in the one and the other tasted like a root beer float. I took it back and she said that was how it was made. This would have been nice to know before ordering. Also we ordered loaded ffs. We were thinking cheese and bacon this is usually standard. The Tasty Freeze is a wonderful little hometown stop. They serve just about every kind of ice cream creation you could imagine. Our favorites are the flurries, which are like DQ's Blizzards. In addition to their great ice cream, they also serve lunch/dinner - chicken, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, tenderloin, etc. Their motto - "not fast, just fresh" - can be true especially during summer/baseball season but it's worth the wait. Portion sizes are excellent - you definitely get your money's worth. Order at the counter and then use the outdoor seating or you can take it to go. Its fairly good variety sheds no light on service. If you want ice cream its great, If your after food you will be waived on to a parking lot. This is where they will "waive" to you that your food is ready. Frozen "made to order fries" and a hot dog that seems questionable at best. The place was recommended to me by friends when I was visiting. I finally made the trip to Montezuma. Boy, I don't regret it. This place is surreal. Amazing food and ice cream selection and great service despite the crowd waiting. I tried the best breaded tenderloin I've ever had and the flurries are to die for. Growing up in Montezuma, I ate at The Tasty Freeze pretty often, it was nice but nothing like it is now. I have recently driven to Montezuma from east of Bellmore (about a 20 mile drive) just for one of The Tasty Freeze's Breaded Tenderloins. Those things are HUGE and delicious. They are big enough for 4 sandwiches. Well worth the $8.50 price. I would definitely recommend The Tasty Freeze !!! read more

Super clean place, fresh food! The menu is amazing soooo many options! We had the tenderloin- wow, delicious . My daughter loved the chicken fries & their mini tacos. My son tried the double burger- and a brownie delight! Everything was perfect! We sat outside and enjoyed the nice picnic table. Definitely worth a stop if anywhere near this area. read more

The food is good,but don't go there if you want to be treated with repsect. They hung up on me mid sentence on the phone. When I called back they was rude to me. When I got there to pick my food up. They told me it would be 20 min more because they thought I may have been calling to cancel my order. Whatever. So they bring me my food about 3 min later. Right? So they lied about that. I asked who took my order on the phone, apparently they had no idea who took it. They forgot my fried. Then was going to charge me for the fries they forgot, and make me wait 20 more minutes for fries while my food got cold. No I didnt wait. I have been coming to the tasty freeze for years, the service is always horrible. They couldn't even tell me the correct cook times, nor was the staff appropriately trained as the lady said so herself. So don't waste your time. The food reminds me of when I was a child and the original owners of the Tasty Freeze had it. The Sloppy Joes still taste like they did 30 years ago, which I have to say is delicious. The menu has a lot to choose from, including shakes and cones as well as sandwiches. My only complaint is it's a bit pricey for the area. But if you're driving through Montezuma, it's worth a stop to check it out. read more
