When calling Kayla, she answered and was so kind. Asked a few questions and sent an email. Called back after sending the email, I called back and had a great and knowledgeable conversation. Jetted down to the shop and was greeted right away. It was nice to see Kayla was actually waiting for me. The artist James is so soft spoken but the best EVER. He was already ready to go when I arrived. They were surprised to see me come when I said I would come. Although Google has hours for them, the hours are different on Sunday's now. They close at 6 PM, not 8 PM. From coming in, doing paperwork, conversation, and rendering payment, it was less than 30 minutes. So quick, clean, great experience. I'm not sure what folks are looking for in a shop. However, this shop has a kick ass shop manager who must have a high pain tolerance with all her amazing ink and great ink crew. Kla is Amazing! I went to Kla to get my eyebrows micro-bladed it's something I've thought about for a while and finally did it. I've always known my brows were asymmetrical but thought I fixed that with makeup (until I saw a picture and they looked completely different!) Waking up with perfect brows every day is LIFE CHANGING. No more wasting time on trying to fill, draw, find the right brand of makeup etc. Kla's professionalism and dedication to her work is incredible, she is truly an artist. Went in for a Jack of Hearts to be placed on my shoulder and I had a blast getting it done. It was a two session type of tattoo (laying down the outline for the first one then color for the next). Kla....pronounced Kayla... was terrific! I had a second set of ear piercing redone (they had closed over from a long ago piercing). She had such great energy and explained why needle piercing is waaay better than a gun. The needle piercings stung, but hurt less than the gun when I was 13. Unreliable. What a Terrible thing to say after 7 years as a client, several sessions between my wife and I plus more referrals then I can remember. (Safe to say I refer this shop up to 5x a week when I'm asked who does the work I have on my sleeve) They Absolutely put out Good work, but don't expect to build a good rapport with this shop or the artist and get the same in return. They won't even bat an eye after telling you to f* off or waste you time. I'd definitely be more understanding had it been just a time or two but when your time isn't valued on a few occasion then it's time to move on I suppose. read more

I had a great experience here. My mom and a friend both had tattoos done here. I went in for my first tattoo. I had an idea of what I wanted but found out it would be much larger than I was expecting. Josh drew up a new design for me and I loved how it turned out. Josh let me keep adjusting things until it was exactly how I wanted it. When he put the stencil on, he moved it until the placement was right. He made me feel very comfortable, especially for my first tattoo. He continually asked if I was okay. Josh was awesome to work with and I will definitely go back in the future. read more

As someone who has been professionally pierced well over a dozen times, my time at The Tattoo Shop was one of the best and close to the worst experience I've had getting pierced. In terms of pain and the actually piercing itself it's been the best one I've gotten. Virtually painless only a little tenderness. However, the experience there is one that I could do without... While waiting I saw a few of what look to be staff up front and one of them take a swig of crown royal. That person ends up being the person to help me. The piercer didn't talk to me about the piercing itself, the process, or any care for it. He got me in and out of the room in less than 10 minutes. He had finished piercing removed the gloves and some plastic wrap and left the room. I was left in the room with my party to finish cleaning the piercing, and to remove the NEEDLE USED TO PIERCE ME, from my chest where it was left after the jewelry was inserted. I'm happy with the piercing and the painless part of it. But the experience is enough to make me seek out another piercer with more professionalism and cleanliness. read more

Even though I came here for my first tattoo and have no experience in other places, this place was awesome. I walked right in and Ashley at the front desk is super friendly and welcoming. It's kind of a family vibe in there. Didn't even have to wait long at all to get seen. The whole process was quick. Dwayne did my tattoo and he just drew the prettiest rose on my foot in like 30 seconds and got right to work. Which was great cause foot tattoos are the worst! We were done in what felt like half an hour, too. Compared to other shops that my mom was been too, this place was very cheap and the work didn't reflect that at all, everyone was very impressed with my rose and thought I paid a lot of money for It, and I didn't! BEWARE OF JOSH. I went to this shop for my FIRST tattoo. The place was clean, uncluttered, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful and played with my design until it looked EXACTLY how I wanted. I was so confident and excited. My tattoo was very simple, but involved some straight lines with evenly spaced dots. I impressed, repeatedly, upon the artist how important it was that the lines/dots be very precise. Fast forward, and I looked in the mirror and noticed my lines were thick and not well defined, the dots were all different sized and unevenly spaced. When I didn't LOVE my tattoo immediately, the artist, Josh, turned into a total punk. He said [direct quote], "fine, if you don't like it, don't pay for it. 90 bucks ain't shit to me." My vague "concern" morphed into total panic (remember, first tattoo!). This tattoo, which was glaringly half-a$$ed, was permanently on my body and Josh didn't seem to give a crap. Finally, while I was waiting for my friend to have her tattoo finished, another artist pulled me aside and reassured me. He told me, "Don't worry, give it a couple weeks to heal. It can be touched up. You'd be surprised what can be fixed, etc..." I still wasn't happy, but I was a lot calmer and extremely grateful to Darius, who was professional and mature enough to recognize the gravity of the situation. If you go here, watch out for Josh. This place had a good vibe when I first went but it got worse with each visit with everyone seemingly unhappy working there and it felt kind of depressing. My artist Josh was a great guy on the one side but as soon as his friend turned up to hangout in tattoo room, which was every time I was there, Josh changed his attitude and started talking about how much he hates this particular client. Which given the subtle hints and what he did to my tattoo (see below) it was probably directed at me, but even if it wasn't this is not a good experience, that I was paying for. But the final straw was what he completed the tattoo with. It is either the shape of a smoking pipe or a pair of balls, either way it was terrible. Needless to say I couldn't trust him as an artist so I left with it as is. Lucky this was easily fixed by an actual professional tattooist who understands how return business and referrals work. Some advice: if you don't like the client then a) tell them you're to busy to work on them. b) tell them you like to work in silence. c) get over it, we all work for people we don't like. We had an apt on my bday we had made days in advance and instead of calling us ahead of time we show up and our artist can't keep the apt. It made me feel my time wasn't worth anything to them. I went in with my husband to get a couple of tattoos. We spoke with Atom. I showed Atom the design I wanted and I was willing to work with him and change things as needed. I tried to explain that I didn't want it to be too girly and Atom laughed at me then proceeded to treat me like an idiot. I was being treated like a dumb blonde because I don't have my entire body covered in tattoos. I've never been so disrespected by an artist or a person that I'm willing to hand over $200+ to in a matter of hours. If you are just like them I'm sure it's a great place for you. I just had 2 tattoos done here, and 1 three years ago. I love all three of them. The guys that work there are great, not rude or pretentious. I had a complex tattoo done by Darious and he put lots of detail into it, it came out fantastically and he's really down to earth and a really nice guy. Called this shop at 4pm for an appointment for a piercing. Shop explained the one man was with a client but to come at 5:30 with a possible wait of 15 min. We did as they asked and showed up at 5:25pm. By 5:55 they informed us the wait would be another 20 min so we wanted to make the best of it and walked near next door for an ice cream. We returned to the Tattoo Shop having only been gone 18 min. They explained that the next tattoo was started and they wouldnt be able to see us and it would again be another wait. Front desk lady explained that "This is the nature of the business". She also explained that we could return on Sat night for the Walk In appointments... RRRiiight... they cant keep a scheduled appointment but they want us to come in for a walk in on another night.. I suspect that the $20 fee of a piercing doesnt compair to the fee they make on a tattoo so they blew us off. Wont come back to this place read more
