I've been coming to InkSylum for 5 years and have received 9 tattoos from this shop. Everyone is professional yet fun. There is a family atmosphere that I love. Cheyenne has done several of my tattoos, and they are masterful quality. I've had people stop and ask where I got my ink done. Nicole is currently an apprentice and has done 3 of my tattoos and I love them completely! I love being able to support both new, upcoming artists as well as the amazing established artists. The shop is exceptionally clean, and they use all clean, sterile equipment. The only time I've ever had a tattoo get infected, I took the wrapping off and held kittens that were playing in dirt. Oops! My bad. Otherwise, all of my tattoos have healed beautifully. Even the infected one healed up perfectly! I absolutely give them 5 stars and will stay a client! read more

I called ahead because I was trying to get my second tattoo. This place has 5 stars so I thought it would be a good. Unfortunately it was not. The person who answered my call was very rude. But since I am very respectful, I kept trying to be as kind as possible. His names is Big Joe. I had a sketch with me that I did on tracing paper. Before Big Joe went to make a copy I asked him if he wanted to see the original photo so he can get all the correct details. He said no. So I thought nothing of it. This was only my SECOND TATTOO. My first one is very small so this oen was a medium size, so it had room for a lot more detail to it. Not only did he mess up and run out of ink, he also ran the needle crooked to where there is small transparent ink lines near my cats ears. So now I have edges that are messed up. He would trace over the parts he ran out of ink again with more ink. It hurt really bad because its in the crease of my elbow. When he put vaseline on it, he only put it a giant glob on half of it indeed of the whole thing. When he wrapped it in Saran Wrap it was loose, an he still taped it. He would roughly wipe it too with a hard piece of paper towel when he was drawing it. The more I look at it, the more it stresses me out. This is PERMANENT ON MY SKIN FOR LIFE. Now I gotta spend more money with another person to fix it. I don't see myself going here again. I don't know how you guys have an outstanding 5 stars. Yet you messed up my cat.. I added a few photos, ill update after it is healed.. But its missing the nose as well. I will also throw the original for reference. read more

My son and I have both chosen this business for our tattoos, and came out very satisfied. I came here for my second tattoo. Jason M. helped me with my appt, and walked me through a draft of what I wanted. Jason was great to work with, changing things up, if I asked for the art to be tweaked just a bit. He then connected me with Jarred to complete the artwork on my ankle. Jarred is a laid back professional with a soft touch. The tattoo came out exactly how I wanted. This shop is friendly and fun. I was welcomed with open arms and felt like I had known all of them for years. In the future I plan to get a lion tat, and I know that Inksylum will be the place I will go to! I really wanted to love this place. I'd gotten a tattoo from them about a year prior and it was phenomenal. I went back to get a simple tattoo on my forearm, just two lines of text. I had a specific font picked out that wasn't too difficult, just a serif font that you can get online very easily. I brought in the details, the artist pulled it up on google fonts and printed it out. What could go wrong right? The artist decided to hand trace the text instead of copying it to make the stencil. I thought that since it's so simple and an artist should have a good eye for detail that I didn't have anything to worry about. When I got home and took a closer look I noticed that the letters were not an even weight and didn't have the same shape of the font I provided. When I reached out to let them know, she honestly believed that what she traced looked identical to the text that was printed out. I went back in and the other artists saw the flaws pretty easily. The owner was AMAZING and tried to rectify the situation by having another artist try to fix it for me. They used white ink to make all of the letters even and it seemed promising. The tattoo has healed, it's been around 2 months and it didn't work like we thought. So I'm still stuck with a botched tattoo on my arm that I'm very upset about and now it's there permanently. I'll have to think of ideas for a cover up and find a place that I trust to do it. Like I said, the other artists there do amazing work and the owner is super cool. I just happened to be that one customer that had an unfortunate experience. Be sure to double and triple check any design before they start. It's my fault for not asking to see her work but since I assumed that this was very basic that I didn't have to worry. All of this to say, lesson learned and just be careful about who you work with especially if you're a walk in. read more

I had surgery on my leg and I had an ugly vain I wanted covered. I went to Big Joe and wow. He drew my original art right on my leg and it turned out so amazing! I now want him to do all my tattoos! Got some cover-up work done with Ian today and can only say good things! First of all, everyone was extremely nice and welcoming and the atmosphere was great, it was clean and it just had good vibes all around. Ian did an amazing job, he's really talented and personable. I plan on having him do my next one as well. Everybody there seems really talented though based on their portfolios. Price was perfect- good artwork isn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous or anything. I got my tattoo done by big Joe back on June 2nd. I wanted to get a rosary tattoo done on my ankle in memory of my grandmother. Big Joe was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful during the entire tattoo process. It was my first one and I was in a lot of pain, so he was very supportive the whole way through, like when I needed breaks from the pain, when to turn over, etc. I was originally scheduled to get my tattoo at another parlor, but they were very rude (Electric Crayon) so that's what led me to InkSylum.
