We engaged Direct Tax Relief after receiving a massive penalty from the IRS for an information…read morereturn. The cost for engaging them wasn't cheap, but was a fraction of the penalty. It took many months for IRS to respond to their letter (partly due to the government shutdown that was going on during the time). However, the IRS agreed with their argument in the letter and waived the penalty. It was a huge relief to us from a very unfortunate and minor error in the form that we had submitted a couple years ago. Super happy with the outcome and I'd definitely use Direct Tax Relief again should something like this happen with the IRS again in the future!
