I went on a wedding venue tour and I didn't really like the vibe that my fiancé and I got from this place. The tour was super rushed and since I had a guest count of 100 they wanted to give us a small room in the restaurant which barely looked big enough for 50. We got the impression that they didn't really want to spend time and energy on us because they felt like we wouldn't be able to afford it. They also made us walk outside and around to get to the other side of the property while the tour guide got to walk through the building. When we first got there the entrance was hard to find and we ended up waiting outside for a while before we were able to get in because the front doors were closed. We walked near the kitchen and it just smelled like burning oil. We'll most likely be going with the Royal Manor instead. read more

Was a guest at an affair here. Spoke with catering manager when I arrived to tell her about an allergy and ask what foods were safe and what I could eat. Also asked if they could make me something for dinner that would be safe. My allergy is a tough one -- garlic. She was pleasant but completely useless. Found me after a while to report that the prime rib was the only safe thing and no, they couldn't make me anything. So for a 4-hour event all I could eat was bread, cheese & prime rib. No sides, no veggies, nothing. And, of course, guy slicing prime rib could only give me 1 thin slice because they ran out of prime rib partway through dinner. Turns out it must've been seasoned with garlic because 1/2 hour after eating it I was stuck in the restroom vomiting for about 45 minutes. Awful experience. I've had this allergy for 13 years and have never, ever experienced a catering facility unable to prepare a safe meal for me. Seriously, how tough is it to grill a chicken breast?! The place is attached to a restaurant and yet they couldn't bring me a vegetable or anything that was safe???? Yuck read more

I had the best time of my life and so did our guests ! However, in the beginning I met with Tommy , who sold me a dream . Months later he was no longer the manager handling my wedding , Taylor was. No problem! However, after discussing my contract with her and agreeing to certain accommodations, I was handed off to Midra . None of them were on the same page . I was told one thing by one manager and another by another . At the end of the night NONE of those 3 people were in sight ! I had to deal with the most arrogant and rudest human being ever; "the owner" ! I had 12 guests NOT show up and they told me they made 30 extra plates !?!?! WHY !?!?! Who told them to do that ? Did they really do it ? Was it just a way to make extra money from me ? Our final cost that Midra and I agreed to was $1,400 . Mind you , I paid full price for children who were supposed to be 1/2 price . I didn't mind that because it gave the kids a better variety of food to choose from . Never in a million years did I think that the "owner" was to treat us the way he did . After hearing my story , he asked us to pay for 20 plates . Which I'm thankful for but it's still not what I was promised . My only concern is that they bounce you around from manager to manager who are no consistent with the information they provide ! Nothing they said mirrored one another . I guess they don't care once they receive their money ! read more

I went to a beautiful wedding reception here recently and it was fantastic. The venue is incredible. The lighting inside the main ballroom area changes and helps add so much to the event. There was so much going on I was overwhelmed a bit. Cocktail hour was buffet style with seafood, an Asian cuisine section, pasta section, an ice sculpture with shots, and a large bar area. The wedding even had a signature cocktail made up by the bride and groom. I had steak for my main course and it was excellent. I may have taken 3 bites because I was already full by the time it came. It was paired with potatoes that I found to be tough to eat. They were hard and I couldn't even get my fork through them at all. They were almost rock-like. Dessert was excellent and filled the entire cocktail room area. They had a liquor section where the shot glasses were made of chocolate, a waffle section with toppings, cookies and milk, cakes and pastries, popcorn, cotton candy and more. At the end of the night they had snowcones for guests. The service was great. Our table's caretaker was highly attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a great wedding reception. read more

I recently attended the best wedding I've ever been to, at the Terrace. The cocktail hour was like nothing I had ever seen. There was an asian station, prime rib, seafood, just anything you could have imagined, they had, and it was all delicious. The best part was the venetian desserts... I can't even describe to you how amazing this was. It was like a fantasy land for me, someone who really likes desserts, especially authentic italian ones. One way you can judge how 'legit' an italian place is, is by their cannoli. Theirs were outstanding! They also had fresh cotton candy being made, waffles and ice cream being made with any topping you could have imagined available, popcorn station, and an amazing wedding cake. I really cannot stress how unbelievable this dessert hour was! Also, the ceremony on the rooftop was lovely, and drinks / bartenders were excellent. If I were in the North Jersey area getting married, after this past weekend's experience, I would really want to have my event at the Terrace. read more

We fell in LOVE with this venue the minute we walked in. Not only is it gorgeous and clean, but it is fairly new as well. The team we worked with were unbelievable and made us feel comfortable from the start. Tommy was outstanding and did everything he could to make us feel at ease while planning such a large event. Our family just celebrated our fourth son's Bar Mitzvah at The Terrace -- religious service and party. Tommy and Paula helped make this milestone moment in our family's life so special and we wrote the following to them: "We want to give big thanks for helping us create a wonderful celebration! I recently attended a large event here and was completely underwhelmed. The dinner was buffet-style, and they kept running out of food. The food that was put out was cold by the time our table was served. And everything was pretty tasteless. Also, the variety was nothing but carbs and fried/breaded meats. Coffee was served at the tables but no spoons were provided. A plate of small cookies and pastries was served at the table but we were not given plates, which led to a messy experience. Worst of all, I was hungry at the end of the evening after spending $50 for my meal! I hope I am never invited to an event here again. read more

The Terrace is pretty. I was there for an event for 300 people and the was not enough seating. We asked if additional tables could be set up, there was plenty of space and we were told no. They said they would bring out more high tops, unfortunately that didn't happen. People were standing not be able to eat because there was no place to put your plate. In addition, for the folks that were seated, the staff took your plate away before you were finished. They were full plates. The food was nothing special, regular banquet food. I would not recommend for any special event. Very disappointing. read more

This place was very unprofessional in my opinion. I was scheduled an appointment to look at the venue and I called because I was going to be a few minutes early and wanted to see if that was ok. The man who answered the phone was incredibly rude and told me very quickly he had no idea and that the person doing my appointment was probably busy that's why I'm scheduled at 4. I did not ask to be seen earlier I was just seeing if it was alright to wait there a bit early. I got there about 10 mins early and had to ask a server at the restaurant who is in charge of showing the venue and I waited and the person who was supposed to help me did not come after I waited about 25 minutes and I ended up leaving and not seeing the venue because if this is how the staff is just to show a customer a venue I cannot imagine how an actual event there would be. Side note it would be helpful if the staff would have mentioned that to view the venue you walk in through the restaurant side and not through the terrace venue itself. I had to be told that by a very nice person outside and not even the staff who I spoke to on the phone. They lost my money for any events now and in the future. This place seriously needs some staff reconsideration. All in all it was a waste of my day attempting to see this venue as I had to drive and then wait all for nothing. I sincerely understand that businesses get hectic and stressful, but I hope in the midst of this all you can be more beneficial to future customers. Had my wedding there on June 4th 2017. Let me tell you. Tom did his best. They did an amazing job starting from cocktail hour to food to the Venetian hour. Everything was just perfect. After I came back from my honeymoon every single guest I had there told me how the wedding was amazing and the food there is excellent... went to so many weddings. Never loved the Venetian hour as much as I loved it at the terrace. Tom thank you so much for everything!!! read more

I am only giving 4 stars because I have not booked my event there yet. I had a great first impression from the staff at the Wedding Expo. I was given lots of details and help working with my budget. I was scheduled for an appointment two weeks ago but it was not confirmed this past week. The person I scheduled with was not the person I met with however they were very accommodating. We came into the lot and an attendant led us to the restaurant side. There we were greeted nicely and offered drinks. Then we met John, a polite and friendly man, who is the person responsible for weddings. He was very straight forward and worked within the budget we gave and made a costume package for us based on what was talked about at the Expo. For a better idea our guest count is 120. This was our first scheduled tour looking at wedding venues. We were taken care of very nicely and felt very welcome. We were given a great deal but since we still have appointments we will take our tours and make our final decisions. Though for the price and the venue it will be pretty hard to beat. read more

We had our wedding reception at The Terrace in May and our guests are still raving about how great everything was!! Everyone at the Terrace is super accommodating and attentive. Paula was awesome throughout the entire process from signing the contract, to picking a menu, to going over all of the small details in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and making sure everything went perfectly on the day of. We visited other reception halls prior to booking The Terrace (i.e., Florentine Gardens, The Grove, etc...), but from the moment we walked in the Terrace we fell in love. When I first went for a tour, I would have given Biagio's 6 stars, even thought they were still under construction. Let me begin, as all brides know, looking for a venue involves finding the venue you like, and a BUDGET. When we went for our tour with Bob, my experience swept me off of my feet. After meeting with him, he asked me point blank if this is where I wanted to get married and with tears in my eyes, I said YES!!! Now fast forward to present, I went back again to get another look at the venue before making plans to bring in the deposit, I was told POINT BLANK that there were other options now, and the prices have now gone up so the original pricing is now longer valid. When we originally spoke, he promised that he will work with us and never stated an expiration of the quote given. based off of our last meeting, the price he quoted was the budget we were working on. He was very indifferent with me, and the feeling he gave me that I was special and that my day would be magical turned into me feeling like a customer who just walked off of the street who was not worth retaining as a client. After leaving Biagio's, I didn't look at anymore venues because I knew that this was the place for me. After my recent encounter with Bob, I am insulted and devastated that I was treated so indifferently. Maybe now that all of the construction is completed, losing a client that they have already established a relationship with isn't worth much. I should never have been given the feeling like I was "just another bride" and that it is "just business" i was FLOORED and hurt that this was his disposition. We were also going to have the Rehearsal dinner there as well, but after this last encounter, we are going to take our "business" elsewhere. I understand that this is a business however NO ONE should ever be made to feel as if they don't matter as a client- especially a bride, who fell in love with The Terrace (under construction) who wants everything to be perfect on her day. I am so disappointed that I have to find another venue for my 2016 wedding. I hope that this review isn't removed because it isn't a good one. read more

We got married at The Terrace this past July 30th 2017. It was beyond perfect and the team at Biagios Ristorante/The Terrace are absolute pros. Not only was the entire staff amazing the days prior to our event and during the event, but even after the event we can honestly say everyone feels like extended family! Everyone who attended our wedding was raving about the beautiful rooftop ceremony, the delicious food and the sophistication of The Terrace. Big shout outs to "Big Teddy", Anita, Tommy, and Athena who made our entire experience an absolute pleasure; and to our outstanding maitre'd Amanda, who was absolutely extraordinary in every way and so incredibly kind throughout every interaction. And to Michele (our bridal assistant, I'm sorry, I know we're spelling this wrong) and Taylor who were amazingly helpful throughout our wedding day, making sure every detail was tended to and that we were cared for at all turns. The level of attention, great energy, and sincere passion shown to us by every person involved in all aspects of the planning and execution of our ceremony and reception was beyond measure. Such poor organization, direction, and management as a whole. I came here for Breakfast with Santa with my baby & my parents. Now I'm not trying to play the single mom card, but this is our first Christmas holiday alone, so you can imagine how important it is. So as per the Facebook invite you had to call ahead to purchase (which I did) your tickets, which included food/coffee/tea. Kids were free which was a nice perk. When I arrived there at 11am, which was when it started, there was an enormous line to obtain those tickets you ordered. So calling ahead more than a week in advance did nothing to shorten that. On top of it, it was shortly after, that we realized it was OPEN SEATING!! HOW DO YOU do open seating for a Family-centered event with little children?? So the manager tried to split us apart between 2 tables. I, nor my parents were having it. We had to go back to her & say we wanted to leave/get our refund to finally get a table together, 6 times I had to ask her!! Then there was enormous lines for the buffet style food, which in essence should have been called by table, since again everyone had children. And I won't even go into the line to take a picture with Santa!! Anyone who has kids knows that lines and kids don't mix. The food was good, I'll give them that. But I was also so surprised that there was no Christmas music playing for a Christmas themed event. I worked in the banquet hall industry, so I can tell you that these are basic things that go a long way, especially with children, parents, and the enjoyment of your staff. Complaining guests don't tip, complain, and will write a review as I am here. It's just not acceptable. Get organized & don't give people a surprise (after they paid good money) that there is OPEN SEATING. It's a shame, because it really is a nice setup/place they constructed. read more

Went here for a communion this past weekend and was very disappointed. As i walked into the Hall and in the room I was amazed, it was beautiful. Everything about the looks was top notch. Then went to the bar to get a drink and noticed that the girls didnt have bottle openers. They needs to walk out of the bar to another bar across the hall to open, pretty ridiculous (this went on for an hour). To add, when I say an hour it was because they would disappear for 10 minutes at a time leaving the bar unattended and no one could get a drink. Someone should have been there the entire time. Food...not so good either. They served pasta first, and the servers threw the pasta on the table, half of my wife's pasta slid over her bowl on the table and her silverware. Salmon was extremely dry and flavorless and the mash potatoes looked like they were served from an ice cream scooper. The only saving grace was this one young lady who ran around help my table, she was great. Got my children and myself drinks when need and she was very friendly, wish i saw her earlier in the party. Maybe it was an off day, but i wasnt happy at all with the service or food. read more

On Easter Sunday, April 5th, our party dined at The Terrace Banquet Hall of Biagio's Restaurant in Paramus, NJ. This was our first time at either The Terrace or at the restaurant. The Terrace is a beautifully decorated and an elegant venue. However, we were extremely disappointed at the food selection and presentation. The roast beef was extremely tough and literally inedible, as was the lamb. It was very crowded in the Ballroom, so one would think that the food was top-notch. It left much to be desired. Most of the other hot selections were just okay to not worth eating. This was our first and last time to dine here. Instead of a happy dining experience on a joyous holiday, we were left utterly disappointed. The management should invest in a higher quality of food and an experienced and highly rated chef. The next day we ate at a diner in Paramus which had a Zagat rated sticker on the front door! That says a lot about how a beautiful surrounding doesn't equate to good/edible food! read more
