Great neighborhood bar! Most of the company inside lives around the west ave area and are very friendly. Pool table, jukebox, darts, playing cards and board games available. They have a small front and large back patio available with seating. Great sound system! The music is always loud and lively. Be aware that the jukebox does not accept cash, downloading the app is your best bet. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have great shot specials and cold beer! I can't believe the bartenders lack of customer service! She already has several bad reviews and still works here! She needs to get over herself and shouldn't be allowed to avoid customers while she is on her phone! I tried this place TWICE. The first time my friend suggested the Micheladas there because the bartender won an award for best micheladas....and I love micheladas... I walked to the bar and asked for one and she refused to make it. She said that it would take her 5 minutes and everyone would ask for one. I was very disappointed. Had something else instead. I went back last Friday and as we were walking in she and the other bartender were yelling "no micheladas no micheladas!!" At a costumer that had asked for one. It was rude and akward but i thought maybe they were kidding. My friend asked for a michelada and she flat out said no. And that she had the right to refuse to make any drinks she doesnt feel like making. I dont know who the owner is there. The bartenders are rude and mean. Obviously dont care about the costumers. It could be that we were there on an off day... But I doubt it. I thought this would be a cool place to stop by, because I always look forward to neighborhood bars, but this was disappointing. Especially after reading previous reviews online. Here's why: Service... It really wasn't. Atmosphere... Not impressed. Guys sitting at the bar, with one having to cuss loud enough to overcome the loud music and sound from too many fans blowing. It was 71 degrees outside, but felt like 60 inside. Fruit flies or gnats in the men's room, and on the patio were annoying. Everything could of been made better if when I had to get up to get us more beer, there would of been someone at the bar. Instead, I waited a couple of minutes until the bartender came in, grabbed a beer, talked to another Patron, then walked right past me without a word. She came back a minute later, but it felt more like she thought she was doing me a favor. I seriously doubt we'll be back. read more

They upgraded the place a lot. Now that its Xmas, they decorated the inside with lights and a tree. Theres a new big flat screen tv, golden tee game, and updated jukebox. The prices haven't change and are very reasonable. The girls during the day are cute and have great attitudes. I really appreciate how close it is to the train, when it passes through there is a .25 discount on beer. This is my new hang out spot, for sure. read more

We came here on lazy Sunday afternoon to check it out.I've been to alot of dive bars..but this place is hard to categorize it as so. We talked to one of the friendly bar tenders there and he explained the whole remodeling of the place. What I really like is that the bar is an open air inside outside bar..depending on the weather, the place looks like a great summer afternoon bar. This bar is a hidden gem for it's location. I was here on Saturday night. There was a karaoke dj. Everyone having a good time. Good place to just hang out.

Tabitha is an awesome bartender. Great little place to drink a few after work and the prices are really reasonable!

We came in on a Saturday. The bartender Kerri was awesome. She was on point, friendly, energetic, and made us feel very welcome. When we came back the following week she remembered our names and what we were drinking! When we came in this past Saturday we were disappointed that she wasn't there. The place is small and cozy, and the karaoke was great. DJ Beans is very entertaining and we really enjoy this spot. Kerri is definitely our favorite bartender and if you go in when she's working you will see why! read more

I went to The Texan 7/13/2017 with my boyfriend to have a drink after a long day. We ordered two drinks which I thought would come out to $10 tops. I get my bill and its $13.50 so I thought ok whatever this place is expensive. Later I realized I accidently took the signed merchant copy. I then checked my bank statement and they charged me $20.25! I DID NOT LEAVE A TIP ON MY CARD! Cause I gave that BAR RAT a cash tip instead, which now I wish I hadn't.
