This is just your average, run of the mill, bar/restaurant. I've never had a bad experience and been there three times. I've had a burger, wings and pizza and none left me craving them another time, but the location is good for me, food is definitely fresh, it's always clean and the staff is always attentive. Great amount of TV's and a pretty versatile menu make it a go-to spot on Sunday's! I'll definitely be back but hardly see it ever progressing to more stars....and that's okay with me! read more

Me and my friend are Asian and there were only Hispanic people when we were here - so we sat down and the waitress walked passed us and didn't acknowledge us 2 times, then when a group of Hispanic people came in after us, she brought them menus and not us, so we got up immediately and left when we saw that. I went to this place on a Friday night about 10pm and their service was nothing but disappointment... It was crowded, and as we entered we waited for someone to seat us, or at least tell us to seat ourselves. No one ever looked at us. After we sat down we waited at least 10 minutes before anyone took our drink orders, and another 15 minutes before we actually got our drink. Horrible! I ordered fries and that one order took at least 30 minutes, during which the server never checked upon us a single time. After a while I asked her if my fries were coming, she heard that but she did not say anything back. After 5 more minutes it finally came. No apology. Overall, this server did not care about us at all and gave us no attention the entire time. I don't know if that's just her or they we're understaffed, but I know I will never go back to this place again- at least on weekends! This place is great! 2nd time here and have not been disappointed! The pizza is amazing! Which is so surprising for a sports bar. My husband went to culinary school and is pretty picky when it comes to food. The ingredients are high quality and they put so much cheese on the pizzas it's the way a pizza should be. We just moved here from California and we haven't been able to find spicy food. We ordered the hot wings and the waitress suggested to get Hot mixed with the mango habanero... So good! However if you are looking for some entertaining karaoke, amazing nachos, good cocktails, waiting 20 mins for someone to know you're a paying customer and $7.50 shots of Jose-by all means sit at the new humongous bar and enjoy yourself!! We were weary because of the reviews but wanted cheap drinks. We got there and a bartender greeted us and made us three lemon drops that were really good. Then she told us that the other bartender would be taking the rest of our order. We knew what we wanted and he saw us there waiting for him but we had to flag him over like twenty minutes later. We orders fried pickles and a huge margarita pitcher. Very weak Margarita. I was sooo upset because there were literal huge chunks of old fried chicken at the bottom of the basket of our pickles. I'm a vegetarian. I understand if they use the same frier, but the fact that a quarter of the basket was old, crunchy chicken bits means they're not cleaning it well enough and aren't careful. This place is close to where I work so I figured a beer after work at the bar would be good. It's definitely a locals bar, do not expect super friendly and attentive service if you are not a regular. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, they card everyone which is nice to see. The bartender was kind of ambivalent. He is one of those guys that gets away with being a mediocre bartender based on his good looks and nice body. Ok I get it you are better looking than me but money is all the same no matter who you get it from. He did do everything I asked of him, put the hockey game on I was wanted to watch, and he became more friendly and attentive the more time I spent there. Like I said locals bar. I ended up ordering some food and had a friend join me who was in the area. Everyone seems to love the wings and being from Buffalo originators of the chicken wing I had to try them. I got mine hot and they were alright. The sauce was nothing to brag about. Also the bartender messed up our order pretty badly we ordered the boneless and a side of fries. No fries arrived and they were your standard chicken wings. I also requested blue cheese which they charged me for. When I asked for my check I made sure the fries weren't on they and they weren't but he had charged for an extra beer. The beers were cheap so it didn't really matter. 3 for 8.25 during happy hour. All in all I might stop in again if I need a beer before I head home but if I need one that badly I'll go to my bar by my house. Also their music sucks they are trying to be a nightclub or something. My experience and review of Thirsty Turtle on 4/19-4/20 (incident happened at midnight. We arrived approximately 11 PM on Friday night). I have posted this review. They've lost their damned minds if they think this is over. I went to this establishment on 4/19. Around midnight, my party and I had an issue with our orders and our waitress requested a manager on our behalf -- we had not asked for one yet. The manager by the name of JOSE then comes out to ask us what was wrong. We waited close to an hour for appetizers with no one checking in on us and no expectation was set on the food being delayed. The manager constantly cut me off, tried to justify the wait, and even showed us our receipt, saying we only waited 35-40 minutes (we only ordered fried pickles and chicken wings, which my pickles were merely lukewarm...) and proceeded to BANG ON OUR TABLE AND YELL AT US... he demanded that I pay everything. I agreed to pay for our alcohol... as that was the only thing that was consumed. He then alerted staff and management to basically BARRICADE us in the building as if I was trying to leave without paying. At this point I've stated I won't pay for anything except for my drink, but I never insinuated that I was going to leave the establishment. The waitress begins enforcing payment at this point and even tried to GRAB me, and threw money at a member of our party! Never did we impose as a threat. The manager was very unprofessional, made threats, told us we could stay in the building all night and we couldn't leave until we paid. Security was also informed to not allow us to leave. This was not my first time here, any other time I've had a decent or normal experience. But JOSE has turned my whole perspective around. Along with the waitress that tried to put her hands on me. Had I not yelled "DO NOT TOUCH ME" she would have proceeded with grabbing me. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I believe the manager is rather sexist and is completely unfit for the position he is in. read more

Good place to hangout with friends to watch funny karaoke on Friday nights or participate. It's the funny entertaining karaoke singer serenading Aerosmith so seriously I give the 3 stars to lol I believe he runs the karaoke section! The food and drinks are mediocre.There were only 4 of us at the table, I came in the last 40 mins, because there was apparently another person who came & left before I got there that made it 6 people in the eyes of the waitress. I once served tables know the struggle, so we let her have the tip she wanted instead of the larger amount we initially wanted to give since she was shady. Order the 'turtle tropic' as my second drink and guess what? It tasted EXACTLY like the first drink and it was nothing but fruit juice. I didnt drink anymore of it. My beau didnt enjoy his drinks either. Neither of us was impressed with the food menu, pretty dull selection. Since it was $50 for both of us to watch the fight we just stayed, but declined to order anything else. With drinks this bad and a poor food menu, I doubt I return. read more

Went here on a Saturday at about 6pm. My wife's diet coke was nothing but carbonated water so she asked for an unsweet tea instead. The tea was so weak it was just like water. She gave up and just drank it. Food took about 30 minutes to come despite the fact that there was about 5 people in the place. Got a Philly cheesesteak that was a little below average and an average hamburger. Including a 25% off coupon I had, my bill was still $20! For sub par food! Service wasn't terrible but wasn't good either. This was my first time here and will definitely be my last. Maybe the place is fun for karaoke or something, but based solely on the food, atmosphere, value, and friendliness, two stars is probably generous. There are two sides to this place so it's a pretty good size for a sports bar. I hear they have a drink similar to Louisiana's grenades. I have gots to go back and try them. I usually enjoy the food here. Service not so much. I ordered food online and picked it up 3 minutes after the time the email said it would be done. Food was soggy and the order was incorrect. Did not want to wait a half hour again for my order so declined a remake. Manager said he could not refund because the system on THEIR website would not allow them to. Was offered a gift card but wanted my money refunded. Have been currently waiting over 30 minutes for my refund. Will not be returning. Added note. I ended up waiting an hour with the manager walking past me 10 plus times. The bartender stated he would need to learn the system and on a busy Friday night that may take a while. After I pushed further for my refund the manager finally got the bartender to issue my refund. He did it in under a minute! Why couldn't this have been done the first time? And drinks were offered to another to go order customer and his check was adjusted for having to wait. I still have to wait 2-3 days for my money to be put back on my card. For 10 minutes, my server Abigail ignore the twelve patrons in the dining room while she showed cell phone photos to her friends (who were the loud ones).
