I've been coming here for years (before she moved locations). Douvie is the only person I would let thread me and my daughters. She is still located in Brea across from the mall in the same shopping center as Target. She is now in the Phoenix Salon Suites #102. Love the new location. Much smaller than her previous spot but is very cute and total spa feel. Both my girls (and I) really love Douvie's gentle technique and care when threading. Super sweet gal that does not over charge or try to upscale. I believe her last price increase was 2022. Although I have several options just down the street from me, I do not mind coming to Brea just for Douvie. read more

This was my first time here and I felt like she was rushed through the whole process. She didn't get some of the smaller hairs and her thread was very thin so the whole time it felt like she was breaking my hairs and not actually extracting them at the root. I was weary going to a new eyebrow spot but wanted to find an option in the OC. Yelp reviews did not lead me wrong with Kaya. The storefront is fairly plain but the work is amazing. With very little interference and guidance, she did one of the best eyebrow threadings for me! Not only was it shaped and cleaned up perfectly but it also took forever to grow back - a sign that she's an excellent threader! Definitely my new go-to spot when I'm in the OC. Very very consistent and considerate as well. My eyebrows are always the best whenever we're done! Took my sisters here to get their eyebrows threaded, and they both left totally crushed. If you look at the picture attached, both sets turned out very uneven. They shortened my sister's already thin brows after she requested to keep them fuller. The technician also kept talking the whole time she was working with the thread in her mouth. Been a client to Kaya threading for awhile now and have never been disappointed!!! I recommend her to all my friends. After the Covid 19 quarantine I was dying for some eyebrow/lip maintenance but was iffy about entering anywhere but I still did used a mask and didn't touch anything. And to my surprise I walked in and she had a mask cleaned up after a client also adjusted the way she threads to using a necklace instead of her neck. She offers masks to clients who don't have one. She is very considerate and over all just great! Five stars all the way!!!!! read more

I had a really good first experience walking into Kaya Beauty! I was in desperate need of an eyebrow threading and the only girl I trusted at another place had left. Glad I rolled the dice on this place - minimal pain, no redness and perfect brows! I got the lady in chair 2 who was very sweet. I showed her a photo of the shape I wanted and told her my skin is very sensitive (many girls have yanked my skin out). Did not know they had a yelp deal! Well I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded near my house and this place popped up and honestly I was afraid to try it because there were no yelp reviews!!! I RELY ON MY YELPERS! oh gosh but I was running out of time and it was walking distance so.. *deep breath* I decided to walk in. I did not catch her name but on the business card that I got said Nitu? Hope that's her. She was the only one at the place and the place was empty with construction going on outside... got me even more worried! But she was VERY friendly and VERY nice. Right when I walked in she was on it. I sat down told her what I wanted and on it she was with her threading skills. Honestly, I've never had it threaded I always pluck and shave it myself but thought I'd give it a try. It hurt like...#@((#)%%$ but she was so nice and she told me tips on how it hurts less haha! I was VERY satisfied with the results but I don't want to post a picture of my eyebrows haha because everyone has different opinions. On the back side of the business card they give you like a stamp card which is when you come in 10 times the 11th one is free and it's really cheap! $5.99 basically $6 I walked out very happy! Handed her a $10. It was kind of scary to try because no one was there and this place is kind of hard to find it's in the Target plaza but right next to Kabuki and Avenue. I'd say try this place if you live near! Since it's new they are super clean and the lady that did my brows took care of me very well! The first time I came here was almost four maybe five years ago for my brows to get cleaned up and I've never been able to go anywhere else since. I used to go somewhere else in Brea but as it got busier the quality of service went down there but here you can see the owner does her best to provide consistent service no matter how busy it gets. It's not the flashiest or fanciest of places but in its simplicity you see a clean well kept place that is definitely worth coming to for all your needs. Even when demanding customers have barged in and rudely asked for free touch ups weeks after they got it cleaned, she kept her cool and was professional to the end. I've never had an issue and would definitely recommend anyone to come here. For the price and service, you can't find a better place! read more

Super nice people, and the threading process here was both quick and efficient, as well as inexpensive. The salon itself is very pretty and clean, and very comfortable. If you don't see it at first from the lot, note that it's right smack next to a Kabuki restaurant. I came across them one day when my usual salon looked too busy to squeeze me in for even a quick eyebrow threading, and I was pleased with the level of service here. So disappointed as I easily thought this place was going to be an easy five star review. Arrived here on a Tuesday afternoon. This place is located in a shopping center strip between Kabuki Japanese Restaurant and Target. Immediately greeted by a male sitting behind the desk. Besides one other customer, I was the only one there. There were no workers at there stations, which was kind of strange. A female came out from the back room a few moments later and asked me to sit in station one. The place is extremely clean and the seats looked new and comfy. As the female started threading the brows, It became more and more painful. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and It never hurt this bad. I wasn't overdue on getting my brows done either. Instead of complaining, I just dealt with it hoping it was only the right eyebrow that was being sensitive but I was wrong. The lady did the left eyebrow and it was just as bad. She was not in a rush or anything and was being polite the entire time, she just didn't have the technique down right. I went ahead and left her a $2 tip and had no plans of ever coming back. So the following morning I wake up with all these thin scabs on my eyelid and the newly threaded area. I should have called to complain but pretty much you pay for what you get. read more

When I want to get my eyebrows threaded and I'm too lazy to go to Cerritos, this is the place where I go. The service is always great and I'm always happy when I leave. Most places that I've been to I think that it's a bit painful, but here the way that they thread is almost painless. I think that if you come in on Mondays or Tuesdays it's cheaper (call ahead and ask I'm not sure if they still offer specials for those days) and I've also seen offers on groupon now. Even without the offer it's $6 and they also offer punch cards (get your eyebrows threaded 10 times and the 11th time it's free). Definitely one of the best places in North Orange County and highly recommended. NOTE: I came here once during lunch time (noonish) and I waited 40 minutes. After that incident I have been coming in the morning and I always get seated right away. read more

I've been coming here for years now and the young lady who seats you in the first chair has always done a quick, clean, phenomenal job. She was always honest and never tried to cheat me. Her kids are always running around but it has never interfered with her work. In the last couple times I've been going... they hired another older lady who sits you in the second chair. Her work isn't that great. My eyebrows have come out uneven and she's always missed a bunch of small hairs. I get that they let you look at them after but honestly... sometimes it's too late. What's done is done and you have to wait for the hairs to grow back. I've always done eyebrows (6) and lip (4) and every single times it's been 10. And I usually give a 1/2 extra depending on the job done. Since I've been going for so long I know exactly how much it is and I just hand them the money. This older lady acted like the extra money I gave her was the cost of the actual threading. Sorry I don't like dishonest people...you won't make money off of lying and charging me extra each time. You make money from my repeat business. Thanks to the younger lady for all your threadings all these years. I'll be looking for a new place. read more

Had to pick up a bridesmaid dress from the alterations place next door, so figured I'd give this place a try since my eyebrows were in desperate need of attention. Very pleased with my choice! I was in & out within 5 minutes on my lunch hour. Very clean place, friendly staff, and she did a great job with my brows. $7 for an eyebrow threading is way cheaper than the place I usually go to in Costa Mesa, so I'll be coming here from now on! read more
