Kavita and her daughter are excellent for eyebrows and waxing--I've always had a great experience with them. However, I recently had a different staff member wax my underarms, and unfortunately, it didn't go well. I mentioned during the service that it was painful and the same areas were waxed multiple times, which led to irritation and burns under my arms afterward. I get my underarms waxed regularly so I know this is not how it should be. It is the next day and the uncomfortable pain is very unfortunate as I should not be experiencing this. I would recommend sticking with Kavita or her daughter for waxing services. read more

Came here out of convenience and had requested for my eyebrows and upper lip to be threaded. Cost came out to $17. Overall, great job, but it would've been nice for her to let me know she was going to add pencil instead of just doing it and making me think she was correcting something that she potentially messed up. I had a bad experience at another threading salon in Norwalk and notified the eyebrow threader at the beginning I'd like my brows to stay thick. She kept them thick and at the end they did look amazing, however, I knew they looked thicker than when I walked in and knew she used a pencil to fill in gaps. She did try to sell me an eyebrow pencil which I politely declined. I got back to my car and immediately started rubbing out any pencil and noticed my brows were still thick, cleaned up, and the pencil she used was to correct a small part of my right brow but that was already messed up from the previous threader. After being a long time customer, the extreme poor customer service exhibited by Kavita was so disappointing I will never return. My sister and I had been going to Kavita ever since she worked in Fullerton (years ago). Once she opened her practice in Placentia, even though it was a further drive, we followed her because we liked the way she did our threading. Throughout the years a few things changed that had made me consider going somewhere else: Prices continue to increase; she pushes more miscellaneous products other than threading (Mary K, Avon, etc.); her male relatives linger while you go in for services which makes customers feel uncomfortable... One of the extra services Kavita offers is facials. While I was not a fan, my mom really enjoyed them. Usually for special occasions (birthday, Mother's Day) we would get a gift card for my mom to get a facial. She had one that expired in 2020, which as some may recall, is when COVID began. Now that restrictions have FINALLY lifted, my mom went in and tried to redeem it. Keep in mind this is for a service requiring a person to not wear a mask for this treatment; there was no way I would have had my mom go in before, especially since we knew Kavita was not being as cautious (she shared she was traveling, etc.). Either way, Kavita claimed that COVID had been over since last year and she could not accept the gift certificate. She would not even do any type of partial credit. Super disappointing response! Needless to say, I will be going somewhere else. read more

In all my years of getting my brows threaded...This particular spot came highly recommended. I was told that Anju was the girl to go to! The woman who did my brows was unfortunately not Anju and I wish I would have remembered to ask for her but I figured everyone in there would possess similar talents. Used to come here all the time but will no longer be after my latest experience. My experience was on 2/19/22 at 10:15am. Someone who I have never worked with before took care of threading my eyebrows, waxing my lip, and waxing my under arms. During the session I knew something wasn't right because it was more painful than usual and my face was extremely red. The wax on my face felt too hot. After leaving the salon the redness subsided and I noticed the skin on my upper lip and cheeks were BURNED. I also have a lot of open cuts and wounds on my eyebrows. I'm 5months pregnant, and use no harmful chemicals on my face... just soap, water, moisturizer. I also have been waxed/threaded before and have never had this type of experience. The next day it looked even worse!!! I showed up at the salon to ask for a refund the next day and they only wanted to give me a partial refund.... They said only the lip would be able to be refunded. I had to explain how this was beyond a simple bad experience, this was multiple wounds to my eyebrows, cheeks, lips, and face. Eventually I was given a refund. However I would not recommend this business any longer read more

One day after the threading, her antiseptic massage felt so good I went for a facial and I had not exfoliated in at least 4 months. I had clogged pores all over my face and lots of dead skin buildup. After the facial I could not believe the difference in my skin!!! All of the dead skin was off!!! I'm an esthetician so I know the difference and my pores were clear! Not packed anymore. my skin was hydrated and shiny brighter and new looking. She has awesome products that I've been using at home. I regret going so much. A friend told me it was affordable and good place to go to. Plus all the great reviews on yelp made me think this was the place to go to. Nope. I just wanted some hair removed from my upper arms...which turned into my armpits and lower arms. Armpits I could live with. But my lower arms...I just had done last week and were still smooth! The lady told me it was just to make it even, but then charged me for full arms!!! So now my lower arms are breaking out and my armpits hurt. My upper arms (the whole reason I went) are messy! There's still hair on the backside like she thought I wouldn't notice. ITS THE WHOLE REASON I WENT IN. So in the end I paid a whole lot of money for work that I didn't need and paid money for stuff that didn't get done. Fantastic. Little side note: she left wax on my arm as she went to go help another customer. Hot wax!! Ridiculous. Now I have to spend even more money to get this fixed. This has gone from affordable to 'holy crap I won't be able to eat this week'. read more
