i went to purchase large format tiles for my bathroom shower and when checking out was asked if i wanted them shipped to my house and i said yes. i was then charged 100 for delivery. this was my first time here btw. when i left i figured we were all set but then i get a call from the sales guy asking if i wanted them delivered to my home and if so he was going to have to get a quote from a carrier. i told him he charged me 100 already for delivery. i was then informed that was a delivery charge to get it from their warehouse states away to their store and that to deliver to my home which is only 2 hrs from the store it would be another 450 dollars and on top of that i would need to unload them myself from the delivery truck. if i had known ahead of time i would not have done business with them. i wrote their corp office and got no response so they just lost business because i have 4 other large projects to be done. I had an excellent experience walking into The Tile Shop. I did a bit of research beforehand looking online as to what I thought I would like and wanted to be sure by seeing some of my likings in person. Amanda did a great job at pointing me in the right direction, dealing with my lack of knowledge as well as offering a lot of great options and ideas to think about too! The store is very large and from what I can tell set up in different departments. It is nice to get someone to tag along with you to lead you around to where you should be looking. I like that there are a lot of model of kitchens, bathrooms, etc so that you can really see the tiles in full effect and paired with other tiles and accessories. Great experience. So, I cannot tell you how much I love this store! Not only just walking in here give me the hope of finishing a home project, but I also have so much variety and texture that I can imagine myself and every type of house situation. I can pretend that I am Beyonce with some fancy fancy tiles, I can imagine that I'm Martha Stewart with nothing but the best, I can imagine that I'm Joanna Gaines and pick the perfect subway tile! Possibilities are endless! Then the nicest customer service people will come around and bring me back to me and my house and I have to put Beyonce on the back burner and choose what works well for my house and my budget. But, these customer service people are amazing. I have never had bad service here. They are always so eager to help and so eager to get the perfect tile for your job, I'm always astounded at their ability to go above and beyond. My husband is a contractor and sent me there to pick up a box of tiles to finish the project. They have people's ready to go for the contractors knowing that their time is money. I purchased it they loaded it in my car and off I went. It was like a well-oiled machine. I was so appreciative because I really didn't have extra time to do this errand for him and knowing that subcontractors time is valuable, was just so helpful! If I could leave no stars I would. My husband and I walked it at 6pm no greeting. We are an interracial couple. There was a rep at the computer she looked at us and didn't acknowledge us. We started at the left side of the store and ran into another rep at the back of the store he seen us and didn't say a word. Now on the right side of the store heading back to the front we heard both of those reps greet the couples that walked in about 10 minute time frame. They were white couples. Even walking out we got not a word. The same girl was at the front computer and the other male rep even bumped into us and said nothing. I called today to let them know and all I got was an exaggerated "sorry". I found the the tiles I wanted but will look else where for something similar. No thank you. read more

We have been shopping at the store for quite a few years now as we have re-done our home with four bathrooms plus the kitchen. Today we spent at least an hour and a half of figuring out some problems we had incurred due to faulty installation on my part over the years. At times they were up to three people helping us solve our problem and they did that indeed. Michael gave us tips and advice that are beyond the norm and had a depth of knowledge of product and installation that I have yet to come across in the tile industry. If you're going to do any tile whatsoever I highly encourage you to shop this business and support this great asset to our community. read more

Fabulous selection. Not pleased with the salesman. It was obvious that he wasn't going to waste his time waiting on a single women. How could she possibly make up her mind let alone afford to purchase product? I think I'll spend time with that couple instead. After all, the man is here and my chances of a commission are much greater with him than it is with a single women. So, should you choose to shop The Tile Shop, be prepared to be ignored. Mixed review. The good part is the expansive variety of products and number of displays, so you can see it in finished form. Customer service is great, to help you make your selections. Also, cooperation between stores is very good. The down side is the short window for returns, which can add up to a significant sum if you're stuck with too much travertine. It doesn't matter if the overage was caused by their estimating mistake, or if your remodel was delayed outside of your control, impacting when you later discover you have too much tile. This cost me hundreds in useless travertine. Word of advice: Don't accept delivery of tile early; wait until your project is ready for it, so you preserve your return window. read more

we only needed 6 pieces of a tile that we were using as an accent, but the salesman said we should get a full box to ensure they wouldn't get broken in transit and that we could bring back whatever we didnt use. When we took back the 4 pieces we didn't need, they said they couldn't refund anything because it was a full box order! What a scam they are running! I will never shop there again. Now I have $30 worth of tile I dont know what to do with. Buyer beware!!!! read more

I was completely disappointed with "The tile Company" and their service. I called and asked if they provided tile cutting services and explain that my cutter was for some reason chipping my new porcelain tile, so my husband and I opted to just have someone do it for us... They told me that they did offer the service for a 1 dollar cutting fee per cut. After being told this my husband and I made the 25 min drive to the shop and upon arriving there were 3 associates and another man standing at the desk. One gal asked how many pieces we needed cut. We told her how many and then I told her I was told they offered cutting and she agreed they did... after leaving for a min she came back and said it couldn't be done tell next week because they were to busy doing inventory ( mean while 4 of them are just standing at the desk) my husband and I left and as we were leaving the man that was standing with them made a quick run to Wendy's for a soft drink. ( but they were to busy to provide the paid service.... ( why not just tell me over the phone before I made the Long drive that they would be able to do it ) we are planning on doing or back splash kitchen floor and down stairs bathroom. Tile company you just lost a customer that would have spent a lot of time with you. read more

Our first experience with this company will be our last. They sold us twice as much tile and mud/grout products as we needed. When it came time to return what we did not use, it was very difficult. Their return process is NOT customer friendly. Come to find out, many professional installers do not like working with them because of the quality of some of the tile. read more

We needed two tiles cut to proceed with our bathroom remodel. Upon calling The Tile Shop to ask if they cut tile I was told they will cut the tile only if we purchased the tile from them. On Monday, October 30th we drove the 25 minutes to the store and purchased 18 tiles with two being cut. We were charged $44.00. Upon arriving home I looked at their ad on line. It stated in their ad their glass tile were on sale until Oct. 31, 2017 for .98 cents each. I then called the store and talked with the person who had helped us with our purchase asking why we weren't charged the sale price for our tiles. She told me the sale had been discontinued. I asked when the sale had been discontinued. She replied, oh maybe Friday or Saturday. I told her I was on their web site and it stated as plain as day the sale was on until the next day. She then told me she had their web site in front of her and she didn't see the sale. I printed the ad off with the intent of going back to the store but decided not to pursue it due to the price of gas and my time.
