It had to be one of the easiest sales she's ever made. BUT, I was told the carpet had to be ordered (3/24) and it would be 1 - 2 weeks. OK, no big deal. One week goes by...no problem...we expected it. Two weeks go by....well, maybe we should call. We call and are told we have to talk to the installer. He has to call us back. We call again. We're told that they have to do some checking and they'll call me back 1st thing next morning. I call them back the next day after work....they need to check with the mill, they'll call me back. Finally THEY CALL ME back and state that the order was "tagged with another that had no ship date"...so, in other words, our carpet may have never shipped...and they would have never checked on it, until we called. Yes, they were very nice during the whole thing...and we're finally getting it installed today 4/17. So, long story no-so-short...It just seemed to be a lot harder than it should have been.

He said it may take a few days to get us the estimate because we needed so many things done, but we received the estimate the very next day. I think we paid a third down when we scheduled the work to be done, and we only had to wait two weeks until they could come do the work. They were here for three and a half days. They did everything we asked and more! We've had a branch stuck up on top of the garage for years and when they got on a ladder to take it down, they saw it had actually pierced through the roof and when they removed it there was a hole on the top of the garage. They patched it up completely for free! I told the crew leader Jimmy that we would pay for it and we were glad they fixed it and he said it wasn't in the initial quote so not to worry about it. Overall, for the amount of things they did, I think it was done for the best price in town, and it's quality work. We had another local handy service give us a quote for the same exact work to be done and it was seriously 3,000 dollars more than Handy Hubby. We definitely made the right choice going with them. But we also loved all four of the people we met from this service. The guys were so nice, respectful, but also very down to earth, where we were able to joke around with them a little (I mean hey, they were in my house for three days). Customer service (either by phone or email) was prompt in their replies and just really friendly and competent. It's really just refreshing that a company like this exists and I'm happy to have had them help us out. I like genuine people.

Before Clifford Thomas, I had another handyman before him and an inspector had failed Housing Quality Standards required by Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority. Clifford Thomas claims he knows inside and outside of the HQS requirements being enforced by the LMHA and I trusted him. Few days ago, I had been informed the work is now complete and brought in an inspector with LMHA and failed again. He claims to me that they don't make sense to him and is avoiding me. Based on recommendation from a source at LMHA to use the "company" that specializing in renovations and repairs meeting HQS standards. Clifford claims he knows about LMHA and has 40 years experience but he couldn't deliver his work, guarantees and with expectations to pass HQS inspection. He's not reliable, dishonest and he's refusing AT MY REQUEST to refund me the portion of the money I paid him. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Never ever!
