This place was so yummy. They had plenty of tables inside and a cute little patio. We walked in on a Sunday morning around 10am and were sat down fairly quickly for a 6 top. My boyfriend and I went on Memorial Day around 1:30 and it was pretty busy but luckily, we didn't have to wait to get seated. Our server, Emily, was super sweet and helpful. I got the brisket tacos (seemed like a fan favorite) with the hash brown casserole and it was so delicious! I also added the house made salsa to my tacos, perfect addition! He got the breakfast burrito (no meat) with cheese grits and the has brown casserole. The cheese grits were so good! Everything was a 10/10. The owner asked me to give it another try so I did. I dropped my cat at the vet and it was too early to go to Sam's Club or run any other errands so I decided I would stop here. There was hardly anybody in the place at 8:30 but it is a Monday morning, so I thought most people might be at work. The nasty menus was not a good start. Sticky and a hair on the drink menu. I brought it to the attention of the ladies at the front door as I left. My server was Fantasia, she had a beautiful smile and was very courteous. She is a wonderful server. I started with a cup of black coffee, which was fresh and delicious and served in a super cute mug. I didn't see anything that matched what I wanted so I ordered à la carte. I had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and plain grits. My food came out quickly. I must say that the scrambled eggs were perfection. I like my eggs to be whipped very well before they are scrambled. They were cooked perfectly. They could've been a little bit warmer, but I'm not going to fault them for that because otherwise they were perfect. The grits were the right texture, they were not too sticky, but again, they could have been warmer. I was expecting the sausage to be more rustic and not like a McDonald's sausage patty, but they tasted OK. Again, they were not warm enough, and I am not the person who likes super hot food. It was a pricey breakfast but I had to order à la carte to meet my needs. Is this coffee "gourmet" and worth what they charge? Absolutely not. It's a decent cup of joe but that is highway robbery. When I came last time it was packed and with the high ceilings you couldn't hear yourself think but today was quite due to low crowd. Will I come back? If friends want to. The Toasted Yolk recently opened a new location in Pearl, MS. It's a welcome addition for our area. I went on opening day and the third day of opening week. For a new spot, service was good. Inside has an upbeat and bright feel to it as well. First day I ordered the early bird special and for my second visit I got the French toast. The early bird special came with a scrambled eggs, bacon and I opted for toast. The food was good but the star was the sourdough toast. It was buttery and grilled to perfection. Second visit I got the French toast. It was 3 big pieces of the sourdough bread and it was absolutely delicious. It was served with warm syrup as well. My husband and I stopped in here while waiting on our Tesla to charge. The food was fantastic and our waitress was kind and attentive. They have turkey sausage which is sometimes hard to find. You can substitute toast for biscuit for .99. The toast was large and toasted perfectly. read more

Arrived at 10:33 a.m. and put our name in the waitlist. At 10:49 a.m. text arrived on my phone saying estimated seating time 11:03-11:18, to confirm press 2, so I did. At 11:28 a.m. I went inside to inquire about my table, they had to search for it and someone had cancelled it. Not sure if the press 2 for confirm was working correctly. The food and service was good. I had the west coast Arnold. Tomato, avocado was good, the bacon was cooked thoroughly and crisp, the Cholula ranch was a better than I imagined on it, a little spicy but not overwhelming, right on point: but the English muffin needs to be reconsidered. It was thin and difficult to cut with a knife. Bays English muffins are the best, may need to consider another type than what they are currently using. Will go back to try other items. We usually have amazing service which is why I gave 3 stars and not lower. Today we were on the online waitlist. It said 15-20 minutes great. We got out of our vehicle to head inside when we got to 1st in line. Waited another 20 minutes and finally went and asked the hostess how much longer since we had a toddler getting antsy. She could not give me a time but showed me the IPad with our name on red and just said we would get a text when our table was ready. 5 minutes later I had the text. I still don't understand why we continued to be skipped over in line for 20 minutes but whatever. We were seated then waited another 10 minutes to even get our drink order taken. Terrible service at 1 on a Wednesday. The bar was literally filthy that were there before I sat down, and were still not removed by the time I left. And I don't know how old the coffee was, but it tasted a lot different than the other two times I came here. Whoever is running that place needs to do better. read more
