I decided to try Geogia's on Holywood High Street as there's always a queue and I've always wondered if it was actually worth waiting for. First thing I am going to say is the staff are great, there were 3 working when I went in and they seemed to be running a tight ship, each person had their job and they were performing their jobs to perfection. I asked if they took debit card but unfortunately they didn't. The chap working said I could place my order and go to the ATM further up the road and by the time I got back my food would be ready. He wasn't wrong because I came back to the shop just in time to answer the all important question, 'Do you want salt and vinegar?' The food itself was good, although not mind blowing. There's plenty of competition in this area for fish and chips so Georgia's always had a lot to live up to. I got a 'Cod Supper' - I got loads of chips (too many) but the fish portion wasn't huge although it was fried to perfection. The meal was enjoyable and I will definitely be back although I might try something different from their large menu.

You can also select a spice level ranging from Plainish (Extra Mild) to Extra Hot, and I went for extra hot, just to see how much heat they could bring. But that's not all! The standard is always good if you just want a quick bite to eat. Everything is always well cooked and things are served fast, which are the main things you are looking for in a fast food outlet. Where it has the edge on takeaways and chip shops is its small but perfectly formed deserts range, as it has a lot of keenly priced ice cream sundaes and muffins that are very nice for the minimal price! My best Supermac's memory thought is as part of the Des Bishop Work Experience that was on RTE a few years ago. If you have the cash or the spare hard drive space if you catch my drift, check it out and you'll get a slightly harsher insight into life at an outlet like this!

Friday was upon us once again, and it was time to have a traditional Domino's meal deal, but unfortunately I just could not get through. They aren't always the best at answering the phone in that branch, so I thought nothing of it and jumped into the car and drove there (I'd have had to have collected it anyway, since I live outside of their delviery area) But when I got there, the queue was ridiculous, and I was very hungry. I had my heart set on pizza by this stage, so looked up Vicinity on my phone, to see if there was anywhere else nearby, and it threw up this wee place (I'd never heard of it before) I got there in a couple of minutes, and was pleased to see there was not much of a queue, so wasted no time in ordering my pizza with the usual toppings, cheese, tomato, peppers and onions. All in all, it came to just over a tenner, which is less than I would have paid, and it tasted great..Not quite a patch on Domino's, I must admit, but I would certainly go back!
