Hours are very accommodating and parking is plentiful. Staff seems at best surly, at worst uninterested in the customer experience, this is not typical of Planet Fitness, however this gym in particular seems to have employees who are not open and friendly. I attend several of their facilities and the surly, uninterested attitudes are common in this gym in particular. If you want a good gym with excellent equipment a wide range of hours and a clean environment, this is a great place to go. If you want help or a smile when you enter, this is NOT the place to go.

I think PF has the best chance to survive due to it's price point, the other two companies who previously occupied this location were incredibly expensive for the location and the services they offered. All of the equipment is brand new and still in pristine condition. they make good use of the space, but it's all one floor now, they removed the the indoor walking track that was on the 2nd floor. I think that and the indoor pool is what kept the previous gyms in this location afloat. The gym was unoccupied for at least five years though so I'm sure that walking track was in great need of repair by the time the franchise was able to break ground. They have the same features that all of the other PFs have. ample parking in a private lot, and staff seem friendly and professional. The check in desk is an odd spot compared to where it was previously located but logistically it makes sense with the new shape of the gym. Though I wish it was same setup as the previous gyms I am still grateful this PF has finally opened. The Gansett Plaza had suffered significantly over the past 18 years. may this opening be apart of the revitalization this plaza has been in desperate need of.

Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

I love Method's take on fitness: they recognize that everyone has a different fitness journey, that fitness goals vary, and that getting healthy is a process. By working with Adam and Nigel, I've learned that changing my body composition and dietary discipline has to be habitual, and that success is related to consistency. They've also taught me there is no magic pill, no fantasy workout, no fancy sweatmore sweatpants that are gonna burn my fat, lift my butt, and sculpt my arms; only my hard work will achieve those things. And that the hard work is WAY worth it. With Adam and Nigel's guidance, my weekly workouts have progressed hugely over time. I've dropped weight, changed my body composition, increased my cardio capability, and am strong as hell. Worried about Method being way too bro-tastic for your tastes? No worries there. Amahl, the owner, does an incredible job curating a team of trainers that is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle and are super fit themselves, but somehow lack the macho-man-cool-story-bro gene. Worried about Method not being hardcore enough for you? No worries there, either. These trainers are SERIOUS. I see some of the trainers' personal workouts while I'm coming and going in the space - and their strength, ability, stamina, and discipline AMAZE me. Super inspirational. Couple other plusses: the space is clean and beautiful, parking is easy peasy, there are always fresh towels to wipe your brow, and spring water is provided to quench your thirst. In short, integrating Method into your fitness routine is nothing but a good thing. You'll get where you want to go faster, with better knowledge, and with great guidance.

I've been consistently going here for a few weeks now (because they have an amazing introductory offer) and have thoroughly enjoyed the classes. I've only taken the hot power yoga classes, but have taken it with several different instructors and liked all of them. Each instructor is unique in their approach and the poses they have us go through, but for the most part they are pretty similar and have all been great. They always stick around at the end if you have any questions. I also took a private yoga session here with Caitlyn where I was able to meet with her one on one. I am still very new to yoga and wanted to know if I had the correct form for some of the poses and Caitlyn was really great in helping me through that. They offer other yoga courses too like restorative yoga and hip & back yoga, but I haven't gotten a chance to try those yet. I've had a couple of questions since joining and have reached out to the studio via email and they are always quick to respond! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place and all the people who work here. Yoga has been my new outlet and this studio has been really good to me. Highly recommended for anyone interested in yoga whether you are a beginner or not !

From the outside, it can be a bit intimidating since it's all dark. But when you walk in, you realize that the all black aesthetic makes it look very classy and clean. On the right hand side, the wall says, "Culture Builds Community;" but it's not just a belief. The couple who runs the business, Pam and Jason, are very intentional in bringing the belief to life. In my first week there, I felt very welcome, and part of the group. They do a good job of creating tough, but fun workouts that work the entire body. I am someone who likes working out with others to feel motivated, and I am also someone who is most productive when I am not doing the same thing for too long. Each class follows the same structure where there are about 6-8 stations, each lasting about 5 minutes each. Each workout is very different, and there is always great music playing in the background. Before starting, they go through each workout and during the class, go around and make any corrections in your form which is very helpful in avoiding injuries / maximizing gain. There is a bathroom, but sadly no bubbler (or water fountain if you aren't a Rhode Islander). But, to make up for it, they do have a dog that roams around the gym. She is the cutest, but I am envious of her when she is relaxing while we're all sweating. Currently, their unlimited pass is $125/mo., 10 classes is $165, or single drop-in classes are $20 each. From what I have observed, they do offer personal training, but it might be more expensive. I would highly recommend giving them a try

I offered to pay my past due balance in good faith, but they refused and demanded more. Their billing company, ABC Fitness Solutions, kept pointing the finger back at the gym, while the gym avoided addressing the issue altogether. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- but WOW/ABC did not respond within 30 days, showing they are not interested in resolving disputes fairly. Consumers deserve transparency and honesty. If you're considering joining this gym, please be aware of their strict cancellation policy, vague billing terms, and unwillingness to work with members when disputes arise. While working out at east Providence for the past 7-8 months out of the 13years I have encountered several older men either recording me, following me out of the parking lot and stabbing my tires. I AM NOT the only victim of being followed out, recorded or filmed yet I AM the only one to have my membership revoked. The specific incident that occurred for my revoked membership was an older man following me from machine to machine with certain moments of his phone in his hands not facing the ground but facing outward at me. ( THERE ARE SIGNS EVERYWHERE SAYING NO PHONES ) I didn't even look or interact with this older man instead a gentleman I never met working out seen and approached the older man, as did another gentleman who noticed. They nicely asked him to see his recent camera roll and the guy would not show it. They brought him up front and told the kid working what they seen. He asked me as I walked out if I wanted a call I said no since I wasn't involved. Afterwards the two gentlemen told me he was shaking and wouldn't produce his camera roll until they walked away he went through it for a few then tried to ask the front desk worker to look. The next day the manager Marisa called me anyways. She was very rude cutting me off before I could finish saying what happened asking questions like why does this happen when she's not there and why am I there at that hour anyways, questions that did not matter with additional stress my body did not need which I told her. She then proceeded to go on about her trainer who also had an altercation with me, which is wrong on her end to bring up because he was a cheating husband who got caught and thought I snitched because Marisa likes to play friends with the clients instead of being a manager and went and told the clients what she over heard. It's all on a recorded line and she immediately said she'd be having HR call me to get rid of me instead. HR said Marisa spoke to all parties involved which is a lie and I have the proof and also spoke to all parties involved. They are also telling people I canceled my membership when I did not. Marisa has also been caught speaking about this to several clients which is very unprofessional. HR also said they'd be parting ways even though I had no interaction with this altercation because I had altercations in the past... too bad there wasn't half the altercations on file with police reports (even though the officer works out there and can also provide photos sent to him) or paperwork from the mechanics which prove my tire was stabbed by an ice pick on the inner wall with the head snapped off. This discrimination is personal since no other member has been canceled for being followed out, tire stabbed, or recorded and if I was Marisa id get a job I could handle instead of taking downers midway through her shift that turn her into a zombie that can't handle anything ! Please tell HR they have the documentation for the time I was followed and had to come back and so did he but you know he was off his meds and it won't happen again because our safety isn't shit right ? Easier to get rid of me than the "new members". And why is it that this 2hour rule applied to me but not any other member ? Or the underaged employees friends who hangout at the front desk during their shift and roll up drugs in the bathrooms and trash the bathrooms ? How about the guy who stabbed my tires did we tell HR that he didn't have an up to date picture because he was scanning in as someone else ? Did we tell HR WHYYYY we had to start making sure every member has a photo on their account now ? Did we tell HR how one of the times this has really happened or no because it will make you guys look bad. How about when Marisa caught Cindy taking $10 fees for people who had the free friend..... yea I bet it was easier to just get rid of me I know too much. The safety of your members should be a priority and so should making sure your members & staff follow the rules because singling out one is. My contract also states "Cancellation shall be effective submitting a 30 day written notice to ABC Financial Services, Inc., PO Box 6800, Sherwood, AR 72124"

Now my fiancé and I wanted to get in shape for our wedding next year and we knew we had to start now. I chose PE fitness studio because it had the ambiance I wanted, a comfortable setting to work out that was a typical gym. They host small group classes and one on ones, so you won't catch some creep in a machine in the corner slowly moving while staring at you. Perfect. Not looking to go to a gym. I need someone to motivate me to not quit and just sit there. Laurel suggested we start with 20 half hour sessions with me and my fiancé. I couldn't commit so I agreed on 15 but will definitely be buying more. She motivates me by chatting me up about my favorite topics to get me forget about the agonizing pain in my butt as I squat across the room. You think 30 mins isn't a lot, but when you mix in cardio and the deathly push ups, trust me, it is. Laurel is a sweetheart and doesn't let me quit! The other day she threatened me with burpees if I tried to cheat on my across the room squats, aka I ran halfway across the room when she wasn't looking! Laurel is a sweetheart and soooooo flexible with scheduling. I 100% suggest one on one training with her. It's pricier than a gym but let's be honest, you weren't going to the gym. You're less likely to cancel when you have a wonderful sweet woman waiting on you!!! Did I mention she has an adorable pit bull puppy and she texts me photos of him all the time??? Because she does! She also checks in the next day to see how you're doing. This warm renovated mill Is the best place to force yourself to do something that we all know I 100% don't want to do! Join join join!!!!! I was brave enough to speak to a trainer who I worked with briefly and they helped me greatly in letting me know the actual rules here. Trainers are very kind and will help!
