After doing research on all the wine touring options in Walla Walla we settled on The Touring Company. Ali was great from the start, she listened to our desires and offered opinions on different options. We settled on an itinerary and then realized we had given Ali the wrong date (off by a week)! She shrugged it off, canceled all of our original reservations and worked with us to create an even better itinerary for the correct date. She picked us up right on time and was extremely friendly, attentive, and informative. She obviously has forged good relations with many Walla Walla wineries. She arranged lunch, from Graze in Walla Walla, which was served at a lovely setting on an outdoor patio at Saviah winery on gorgeous June day. Though we ran a little late during our last visit at Devison (great winery suggested by Ali), she didn't charge us for the extra time. We visited four great wineries; Saviah, Garrison Creek, Doubleback, and Devison. Garrison Creek and Doubleback were on the exclusive side while Saviah and (especially) Devison were more casual. It was great for us as we enjoy both types. The Touring Company checks all the boxes for a great guided wine tour. My wife and I have used touring companies from California to France and The Touring Company, Ali specifically, was as good or better than any. read more

Ryan was the Tour guide for our group of 4. He was very friendly, but pretty quiet. When we asked him questions, however, he was very informative and knowledgeable about wine and the walla walla wine country. I knew this wasn't going to be a party bus by any means but it was almost awkward at first because Ryan was so quiet and the radio was all the way turned down....but after we had a glass or two of wine that didn't matter any more :-) If you are looking for a very low key ride from winery to winery this is the tour guide to go with! On a different note, the second winery they scheduled for us was absolutely gorgeous and had AMAZING wine, it was called Alton Winery. We all agreed we could have just stayed there all day! My trip to Walla Walla had been delayed for one year due to COVID. When the trip finally happened, it surpassed my expectations. I went with Ali's mixed group in mid-September, which was a great offering for my girlfriend and I and we didn't want to splash out on a private tour for ourselves. Anyways, we were picked up punctually at our hotel in a mini-bus/van type vehicle and we were off. Ali has some previous experience in the wine industry and it showed in some of the responses to our various questions. We were shown around to a splendid selection of wineries and vineyards that showcased some of the variety of offerings in the region. Lunch was delicious (and included). She also used a rather fun method of keeping track of who bought which wines among our group so there were no disputes / confusion at the end. We came down for the weekend to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. He had never been to Walla Walla before. I booked a tour with Ali and she arranged a wonderful tour of stops. There are so many wineries and tasting rooms to choose from that we wouldn't have known where to start. She picked us up at our hotel and we immediately became fast friends. Wow...where to start regarding our day with Ali?! She was early to pick us up, which was very refreshing, and the van was clean and comfortable and stocked with cold water and sandwiches (and homemade cookies!). We had an absolutely PERFECT day. Ali Rodgers, owner of The Touring Company, was in great communication with us for the preplanning of the trip. She booked us private tastings with four wineries, all within our price range. Her friend, Tom Olson, drove the Mercedes van and delighted us with his knowedge of the area and of all the wineries. My husband and I had a fantastic holiday visiting the Eastern Washington wine community thanks to The Touring Company of Walla Walla. Ali Rodgers is a true professional, we learned so much about the wine region from her, and got to visit so many wineries that we wouldn't have known about or found on our own. Her tours are exactly what we like. We didn't want to have a limo and guide that we had to pay for by the hour. We wanted a day-long experience for a flat rate, possibly sharing the visit with other wine lovers. Since we were visiting in September after the busy summer rush, we ended up having a private tour lead by Ali. We loved it so much we did two full days with her. She made sure we visited a couple of wineries I had in mind, a brewery each day for my husband, and introduced us to some fabulous new places...even arranging a behind the scenes tour and barrel tasting!
