I stopped at the food truck and was greeted by a lovely lady. I ordered the Birria tacos that were absolutely delicious. So much flavor.

Now that I live in the area I am so thankful that a food truck that serves authentic Mexican food is here ! You don't have authentic food in this Shoreview area really. Here you have a wide selection of meat choices: Beef: ASADA( beef steak), BARBACOA (Beef cooked in guajillo sauce and spices with the house recipe "not spicy"), cabeza (Beef head), LENGUA, (Beef tongue), SUADERO (Beef skirts), and CECINA PORK: PASTOR (Beef skirt), CARNITAS (Deep fried pork) CHORIZO (Mexican sausage) CHICHARRON EN SALSA VERDE (Crackling pork cooked with tomatillo) CHICKEN: POLLO(Grill chicken breast) TINGA (Chicken marinated with chipotle sauce and jalapeños Trust me it's so hard to find a place that makes lengua tacos which are by far my favorite. I love that the order of tacos comes with slices of cucumber because it's something refreshing to munch on at the end or whenever. The tacos had flavor and the portions were pretty good definitely not small tacos. The enchiladas were delicious and had some spicynes to it which my mom would approve of. Service is always always great and you have the option of calling and placing an order, coming to the place and ordering or doing a door dash order. There is a picnic table at the side if you want to eat these as well. I honestly can't wait to come here in the morning and check out their breakfast menu.

Served with cilantro, onion and lime as it should be. Prices are reasonable. It's a great location right off the freeway and by tons of business and hotels. It's. A taco truck with a picnic table next to it that you could eat at in a pinch but I'd really recommend this place only for pickup. Doordash is an option too. Hope this place sticks around. Nothing like it in the area.

As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance that's common in many Midwest restaurants, with rustic charm and a welcoming vibe. We were promptly checked in and seated at a cozy table that gave us a perfect view of the bustling restaurant. Our server, Monica, immediately made an impression with her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm for the menu. With so many tempting options, we took a little time to peruse, and she patiently guided us through the extensive selections, recommending some of her personal favorites. We decided to kick things off with a couple of refreshing drinks; I chose the rich and robust Negra Modelo while my girlfriend opted for the smooth and crisp Victoria. Both drinks perfectly set the tone for a fantastic evening ahead. As for the food, it surpassed our expectations. I ordered the carne asada, and let me tell you, it was absolutely divine--a medley of flavors that danced on my palate! The steak was perfectly grilled, tender, and well-seasoned, served with a side that complemented it beautifully. My girlfriend chose the chimichangas, which were nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Crisp on the outside and bursting with savory goodness on the inside, she was more than pleased with her choice. The portion sizes were nothing short of gigantic, and the generous helpings made it clear that this place doesn't hold back when it comes to satisfying their guests. We quickly filled our plates and savored every last bite, knowing we might have to roll ourselves out of there by the end of our meal! Throughout our time there, Monica continued to shine. She was remarkably attentive, ensuring that our drinks were refilled promptly and checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything. Her warm service added a personal touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. One of the great bonuses is the ample parking available in front of the restaurant, which is always a plus. Additionally, there's a shopping center next door where you can pick up groceries at Aldi or grab some liquor at Merwin's. It's the perfect spot to round off the evening or stock up on essentials. Overall, our visit was a delightful experience filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and outstanding service. This place has certainly earned a spot on our go-to list for future outings!

Every time i call in or come to order, i would always ask to Please not cut my burritos..the stuff falls apart when a burrito is cut in half, and i hate that. I want my burrito intact and not all over me. I called into today and had my husband picked up our order, i repeat 3xs DON'T cut the burrito! Its either they really do not listen OR they did it on purpose. When i told the lady to please repeat back to not cut the burrito, she had replied with, "OK." My 4 year old couldn't eat her burrito because it was falling everywhere. Very disappointed that we come here every month and yet, they choose not to listen when all we ask for is, "DO NOT CUT THE BURRITO."

The atmosphere was trying to be trendy with the neon signs, rustic-chic, exposed duct aesthetic. The server was amazing. Incredibly friendly and helpful with questions that our group had. The food was also way better than I feared it might be. I appreciated the build-your-own option for a lot of the dishes. I got a large salad with grilled shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp was flavorful and the salad bright. I used some of the cilantro salsa that came with the chips as dressing and it was great. It happened to be my birthday and they brought out some churros as a treat, which was really nice. The churros, however, were pretty bad. Super dense and chewy. The service definitely added an extra star and that waiter (I didn't get her name) should get some recognition. I would put this in the "group pleasing", "work happy hour" bucket of restaurants. I would never suggest but definitely wouldn't be upset if the group chose here.

Don't even get me started on their Al Pastor. It sits cooking in Bbq and pineapple on top that drizzles juices into the meat. On this day I had pastor tacos. They come very simple as I ordered Mexican style. They come with cilantro, onion and salsa and meat. This is all you need as the pastor truly shines and the pineapple presents brightly amongst the bbq and smoky taste of the pork. This is one of a kind pastor that's for sure. They make much more authentic Mexican food here than most Mexican establishments I've been to, and their salsa is very hot so for those not used to such flavor it may come as a slight shock, just something to consider going in. Staff here are always so kind and warm and friendly. I never feel out of place when I come here. This stays on my rotation for lunch as I work nearby, and it's a 10/10 always!

I didn't really get the flavors of the meats due to all the toppings (beans, lettuce, pico, sour cream), which if you want to omit anything, you can. I also went for the tres leche cake, which was good. To be honest, we were actually heading to another restaurant on the block, but being a Monday, they were closed. Thankfully El Taco Riendo wasn't because I enjoyed the experience. They have a large menu written on the wall. Right above the cashier is another menu with pictures, and I believe there was a smaller menu with pics on the counter. Prices were fair and service good. After placing our order we were given our drinks and told to have a seat, the food would be brought to us. The food came out in less than 10mins. However, out cakes weren't, so eventually I just notified an employee who took care of things immediately. In all it was a nice experience.

You can order at the kiosks and pick up your food within less than 10 minutes which makes a quick service. The restaurant has several tables you can sit at and nice music on to enjoy. Each Taco Libre has their own decorations and this is also one of my favorite with part of a wall full of jarritos bottles.
