Great spot for a date night, business dinner or a solo dinner at the bar. I was in town for work…read moreand popped in for a quick dinner. the bar is beautiful but the beer and bourbon selection is pretty average, however you'll find something decent enough to drink. I ended up getting a grain bowl with grilled chicken. It was quality and filling with a reasonable amount of flavor. The service at the bar was meh. The bartenders were a bit slow and didn't seem enthused to be there. Took them forever to refill water and didn't check on me during dinner, i would have loved another beer and some hot sauce or pepper. Overall, it's a fine choice barely 4 stars.

She actually felt so bad by the level of service she was providing that she comped our dessert. The food took a long time to arrive. Our plates weren't cleared between courses. Our water glasses were never refilled. No one ever asked if our food was O.K. The first wine we chose was "unavailable."We were never given a dessert menu- we had to ask for one. We had to endure this ordeal for two hours- it took close to 20 minutes just to get the check. All this could be overlooked if the food was good but it was not. Cauliflower appetizer was undercooked and overly spiced. Chicken parm meatballs were dry. Halibut smelled very fishy which is usually not a good sign - which proved to be true. Short ribs were fatty, chewy and one dimensional and sat on a bed of vegetables that consisted of potatoes, corn, tomatoes and other unidentifiable vegetables all in an unappetizing color brown. (Those were left untouched). Some gravy or wine reduction might have helped but it was all served dry. The best dish was a side of mashed potatoes which were buttery, creamy and well-seasoned- they would have made a great bed for the short ribs to sit on instead of those sad vegetables. The Funfetti donut sundae was good. The most positive comment I can make is that they didn't rush us out! To pay as much as we did for food and service that was mediocre at best was disappointing- we will not be going back.

I ordered: Wagyu Old Fashioned 1/2 Bottle Red Blend Lobster Dumplings DB Cheeseburger Truffle Mac & Cheese w/ 2 Eggs Over Hard Keylime Pie This restaurant was great with the keylime pie being my favorite! It was great all in all!

I heard some negative…read moretalk about the restaurant but really was hoping for a good experience as we live just down the road. Unfortunately, I could not in good conscious recommend the restaurant to friends or family: 1) We had reservations for my husband's birthday. Despite this, we ended up waiting for a table 2) We ordered sparkling water and the waiter apologized but stated that the restaurant doesn't carry any. Not a big deal, but strange for a "nicer" restaurant. 3) We then ordered two glasses of champagne off the menu. We were then informed that despite this being listed on the menu, the restaurant does not offer any champagne by the glass. 4) We ordered popovers several hours before the restaurant closed. We saw other tables with this appetizer, but they informed us that unfortunately they ran out for the rest of the night. 5) Even after delayed seating for our reservation, it took 1 hour to receive our appetizers. We didn't say anything, but the waiter was nice enough o recognize this and offered us 1 of the appetizers for free. We were charged for this anyway, despite the waiter's promise. 6) I had notified the restaurant that this dinner was special and was for my husband's dinner. Not only was the service pretty bad throughout, there was never even a verbal happy birthday. I was hoping for so much more, and to be honest, the food was pretty good. However, the lack of food and drink available that was listed on the menu, and the delayed seating, and delayed food, and bad service was enough to turn us off after just 1 visit.

Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. And no one smiling, nor upbeat and happy in greeting us. Good was goof to very good. Solid plus, no wow factor. My piece of salmon was not only large but perfectly cooked as requested. Short ribs and a veal Milanese was also ordered and was very good. Veal was tender, short ribs soft as soft could be. We chose to go out for ice cream even though they had some decent options. And given how busy it was, I wasn't even sure who our main server was. No one came over during the meal to ask how we were going. And at the end the server was different than who we started with and it took forever to flag someone down for the check. Food was a 4, but everything else we encountered brought the overall experience to a 3. I'm new to the area so if and when I'd be happy to go back and hopefully have another good meal with better service - more attention!
