I really appreciate how they strive to incorporate locally-sourced ingredients in the menu whenever possible; you can definitely taste the freshness. I also have to mention that their seasonal cocktail menu is definitely worth checking out. Since it's in season, we started with the freshly flash-fried asparagus tempura ($15) appetizer. It was very tasty and well-presented, with a portion size was perfect for sharing. For my entrée, I ordered the tempura shrimp bowl ($27), a southwestern-inspired dish with four perfectly fried tempura shrimp over a bed of frisee and farro, topped with charred corn and avocado. It was incredibly tasty and way more filling than I expected. My dining companion selected the jambalaya ($28), a cajun-inspired treat packed with shrimp, andouille sausage, and chicken. She absolutely loved it and brought half of it home to enjoy for lunch the next day. A special shout-out to our server, Chris. Even though he's only been there a few days, he was fantastic and made us feel like guests for a meal in his home -- attentive, friendly, and totally on top of everything.
