Originally, we planned to stop at a coffee shop to relax and wait for the traffic to ease. However, when we drove past this restaurant, we decided to check it out instead. The gentleman who seated us was super friendly. Our server, Theressa J., was equally warm, and professional. We weren't hungry at all. My husband ordered the Crispy Fritto Misto as an appetizer. I couldn't resist ordering the three-course meal, which included tuna and salmon poke to start, followed by lobster tail gnocchi and bread pudding for dessert. Since I wasn't hungry, I ended up taking most of my entrée and my dessert home. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we're so glad we decided to give this restaurant a try. By the time we finished dinner and got back on the road, the traffic had eased considerably. Needless to say, we went home happy!

Similar to last year we also took advantage of your Cheeseburger Holiday special ($17.76 and $20.26) both nice values. Last year the cheeseburgers were cooked perfect to our liking, Medium Rare (posted on Yelp 5 stars). This year very disappointed, we asked for Medium Rare and instead it was served Medium Well/Well and the fries were not fresh. The waitress gave us a future free app coupon and that was also disappointing. On a positive note the room ambiance/decor is spectacular! Oh well, as a former Aramark Manager for over 16 years, I NEVER send food back to the kitchen. In ending you are a Food Maverick so God Bless You and continued success!

Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. (The attached photo shows all of the Oct/Nov/Dec special Fall/Holiday events that The Barn hosted.)

Not the most "traditional" version, but very good nonetheless. The atmosphere was quaint and lively at the same time. It's a small venue but the energy was friendly and warm. And no one smiling, nor upbeat and happy in greeting us. Good was goof to very good. Solid plus, no wow factor. My piece of salmon was not only large but perfectly cooked as requested. Short ribs and a veal Milanese was also ordered and was very good. Veal was tender, short ribs soft as soft could be. We chose to go out for ice cream even though they had some decent options. And given how busy it was, I wasn't even sure who our main server was. No one came over during the meal to ask how we were going. And at the end the server was different than who we started with and it took forever to flag someone down for the check. Food was a 4, but everything else we encountered brought the overall experience to a 3. I'm new to the area so if and when I'd be happy to go back and hopefully have another good meal with better service - more attention!
