Was appalled to learn that my guest from out of state was denied access to the free trial that every dope and their brother gets because of some totally made up policy that even the young lady at the desk made fun of and blamed on her idiot boss. Petty, discriminatory and just plain awful business. Ridiculous and someone should make that right ASAP. read more

I recently moved to the area from another state and wanted to do the free trial to see if this would be a good gym to start a membership. Instead, I was told that simply because my ID was out-of-state, I could not utilize the trial and would have to pay $35 for a day pass. The receptionist was nice enough, but explained that management was sticklers for this thoughtless rule. In using the day pass, the countless downfalls of the gym were blatantly clear: old, rundown equipment; dust and grime all around; poor ventilation--all culminating in a terrible experience. This is for the port Washington location Been a member for over 15 years. Locally run, clean. Love that there are plenty of areas with machines including weights, treadmills, elliptical and bikes. They also finally added more classes which were of course scaled back during COVID. My only ask is for lower guest and weekly rates. read more

Long overdue review for my favorite gym (of 17 years!)... Friendly, helpful staff, a wide array of equipment, very reasonably priced and well located. I have been a happy member for years and love the TS family I see everyday. :-) In addition, a little over a year ago, after a hip labrum tear, I began training with Dennis, who over the past year and helped me heal, corrected my bad habits that caused the injury and pushed me to a much healthier fitness level - Thank You! read more

They took away all the classes in the evening so for the people at work there's no chance of you getting any classes in. They're only two on schedule. There should be at least one every night of the week and one on the weekend like other gyms. read more

Was looking for a new gym as I am trying to refocus my efforts on my health. Stopped by to see what this gym had to offer. I was sadly disappointed in the cleanliness of the gym. I have been a member for over 17 years and use the facility on a regular basis. I have seen people come and go over the years but the common thread is the owners and employees that have become like family. No false pretenses, no egos, just a great place to workout and see friendly faces of people who enjoy working out. I had surgery a few years ago and was in a bad place. Dennis, Pete and the my gym friends got me back to where I wanted to be. Can't wait to back there tomorrow. read more

While many reviews talk about the masses of teen guys in here, I had no problem with younger kids trying to work on their health and find a passion for training. It's a public gym. Get over it and focus on the good stuff. The staff is great. They were super welcoming and helped me get a week pass with ease. The new leg machines are phenomenal. The leg press, hack squat, pendulum press, leg extension, standing AND donkey calf raise machines are all such great additions to the variety of machines. The only thing I disliked was the lack of plate organization. There were plates left on machines, the floor, and barbells. While this is partly a responsibility of the gym members, I feel like a few weight racks or plate stems would help make for a more organized environment. I will 100% be returning next time I'm in the area. read more

I've been going to training station for years. For about 4 years not inculding the pandemic. I've always appreciated the quite space with grown professionals in the midday and over all a calming space. I usually mind my own business and work out and leave. Soon after the pandemic, there started renovations to the gym. Really no warning that I know of but it was loud sometimes. Also there was a few new faces at the front desk. Like I said, I stick to myself so no need to communicate much with the front desk but one day a new employee, my first time seeing him there. Walks by me on the stair master , stops , then ask me if I have a membership there. I was confused by this question. There was other ppl around working out and I only saw him ask me. I said yes and he asked for my name, I told him and he left and went back to the desk. I thought about what just happened and looked around. I get off the machine and went to the desk. I said to the employee that was not ok what you just did. You singled me out to ask me if I go to the gym here and I didn't see you ask anyone else here the same thing, that's not ok. (By the way. I'm a black woman). He said sorry I didn't mean anything by it I'm new here so I'm just going around introducing myself making sure I know everyone. I said but I didn't see you do that with anyone else that does not look good. He said he's sorry he didn't mean anything by it. So I let it be. I few weeks later I put my membership on pause for a few reasons. Too many kids where starting to come there was still renovations and I wanted to try something new. I was told it would cause $15 month to pause but the owner was there the day I actually pause it. She took out the paper work and told me it would be $25 a month to pause. I told her I was told different. She said that's the new price while crossing out $15 on the form and writing in $25. :/ I came back 2 months later to see if I wanted to restart. The renovations were done, the gyms was painted black and green with more lots of new clients and lots of kids .. it just wasn't my vibe and I canceled. I looked for a gym for a while but couldn't find one. So I came back after 4 months. I Was reinstated by a long time employee that knows me. The next day I came for my morning work out and swipe my card. It didn't work. The person at the desk was the employee that a year again ask if I go there. I walked passed him and he teaks excuse me your card didn't work. So I walked over to him. I said can I speak to someone else. He said he can help me I said I don't want to talk to him can I speak to someone else here. He said I'm it. I said i don't want to speak to you . He said why? I said you're racist. He said no I'm not I was doing my job when I asked you if you were a member. I'm not racist don't call me that while getting in my face with his finger. I said oh you remember so you know. I said I would like to speak to someone else. He said no so I walked away. He said I'll call the police. I said that's why you are racist. And I went for my work out. I saw him again while I was working out. He was cleaning then he he started with me again so I said that's it. And started calling for a manager. I saw the guy that reinstated me and told him about what has happened. I did not tell him about his employee trying to call the police on me instead of just calling the manager. He walks with me to the front desk and apologized for the man at the desk. (The man at the desk by the way is Hispanic) he says to the manager she called me racist and I'm a immigrant to this country. So I said you're racist to black ppl. The manager says ok lets get her a new card and apologized to me again. I never told the manager that this employee tried to call the police on me. But I'm saying it here because I want them to take note of the people they hire. And the reviews they can receive bc of their actions that they brush of and say they were just doing their job. In the end it's been 4 days back and I may or may not stay. I do hope everyone sees this and know the Hispanic man at the desk is not a nice guy as the manager tried to reassure me a few days later. read more

This gym is horrible. They are scammers. I canceled my membership towards the end of my pregnancy. I noticed they kept charging my account. I called and spoke with a manager and he gave me the run around and said he had to look through the files. I gave him a few days and called back and said he still didn't look through them. Waited a few more days and he said they couldn't find it so they accused me of never canceling and got away with charging me hundreds of dollars. read more

Canceling my membership with this gym has been a nightmare. I gave the proper 30 days' notice (I was moving) and my account was still charged the following month. I call to dispute the charges, am told that they can't find the paperwork saying that I had canceled but said they would call me back. Never called back. I called back again, was given a lame apology about the lack of communication, and was assured that my refund had gone through. I was told to call back in one week if I didn't see the refund on my account. Sure enough, one week later, the refund was still not there. I called back, yet again, and was told that oops, the refund didn't go through until today. I should be seeing the money in my account in 3-5 business days. Essentially it has taken them a full month to process the refund of money that should not have been taken from my account in the first place. I don't expect the people working at my gym to be brain surgeons, but I don't think handling basic administrative tasks is too much to ask. Save yourself the headache and go to literally any other gym in the area. read more

Hands down, best gym....ever. Walk in, sign up, the end. No pushy sales staff, no one trying to sell you stuff, no one bothers you period. The employees are all pretty laid back (which I like), and the gym itself is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye (high ceilings, wide floor plan, huge windows). They don't play any loud obnoxious music over their speakers either. The whole place has a very 'zen' like quality to it and is kept immaculately clean. A HUGE bonus is also their child care center which is included for free and with no time limits. I just can't say enough good things about this place (and I'm usually one of those people who can never be bothered to write reviews for anything). read more

Regarding Lisa Blick's clothing (BLICK.COM): There is no way to tell if a product will hold up just when you hold it your hand with the tags on. Until you wear it once, wash it (according to the manufacturers instructions as I did) and look at the product again to see how it holds up will a purchaser know if this product is worth the money. Her products do not hold up after JUST ONE WASHING. I don't care about her policy which does not make sense anyway. She does not stand behind her products! That is the point here!
