If you've never had Knish then you haven't lived. Who doesn't love potato in a crispy shell. Well this and other creative, unique, and culturally diverse options can be found at the Traveled Cup. The owner and staff are always friendly and the atmosphere/environment is beautifully curated. You'll feel like you're at home relaxing by the fire, while you sip on any number of beautiful concoctions from coffee to Italian soda. read more

It's a nice stop if you're traveling north and I have always been pleased each time I visit. The coffee is good and there's a variety of pastries and breakfast items. It's a cozy space. read more

I stopped here on my way to Quebec on Labor Day. I know that there were only a few places open but service seemed incredibly slow for the number of people waiting. I got a regular coffee and a croissant and I waited over 15 minutes for it. The coffee was great, the croissant okay but I don't know if it was worth the wait. read more

Third Times a Charm. Usually, but not in this case. First two times I ordered a London Fog and a baked good. Both times they were meh. Good, but not better than home. Today (3/21), a friend bought me a breakfast burrito. It tastes bitter and burnt. The egg appears powdered, the sausage is bland, the beans, refried and refried again. And if that's not what's in this burrito (bc I didn't find a menu) I'm even more concerned. The tortilla is nicely toasted. Thankful for the sour cream and salsa that comes with it. Gave this place three stars, for nice atmosphere, decent selection and pricing, nice customer service. But, it's nothing to write home about. Edit: As I was writing this, my friend also says her burrito tastes bitter/burnt. No bueno read more

Such a sweet spot! The barista ran me through all of her favorites with so much patience and a smile! Very easygoing and I love the varied seating! They have pre-made foods and baked goods. Most importantly: they have more coffee and tea flavors than I've ever seen. Delectable and only $5.80 for a large iced latte! read more

First time in St Albans. Walked into the Traveled Cup on a cool autumn Friday. Very cool vibe in the shop! We ordered a Turkey, spinach and havarti sandwich on a croissant to split. Husband has a maple latte. He said it was delicious. The sandwich was fresh and very tasty! We also split a blueberry crumb cake. It was moist and perfect crumb to cake ratio. Love the real plates and utensils. Environmentally friendly! read more

Today , I finally went to the Traveled cup! I am inclined to be a coffee snob... their medium roast was a perfect choice! Now I know the best place in town for an excellent cup of coffee... the quiche was moist and bursting with flavor...and the scone ( okay plural on that )' were the best I've had for sometime. Definitely worth checking it out, especially if you are a bit snobbish about your coffee!! read more

We stopped by this place on a Monday morning in August. We ordered a s'mores coffee, hot, and a regular cup of coffee. We also ordered a spinach feta croissant. The s'mores coffee and regular coffee were spectacular! You could really taste the marshmallow. What I found very enchanting is when I took the lid off the coffee cup, I saw that they had taken time to make a design in the coffee. The the croissant was buttery, flaky, and very flavorful! I would definitely recommend this cute little coffee shop! read more

The Traveled Cup - Design in my s'mores coffee. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Saint Albans, Vermont

I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars. The vibe of the place is really great with wonderful music. My sandwich and maple pastry was fantastic and my wife's salad was really good. The only thing that wasn't sadly was the coffee. I believe the reviews here that the coffee is most likely good most of the time but today the espresso tasted burnt; not extra roasted but literally burnt with an acidic taste. Both my wife and I had the same reaction when we took drinks of it. Our first drink was so bad we asked him to make us something else and that was equally bad even with more creamer and sweetener. I hated to complain a second time but we really wanted a coffee and this time the owner came out and wasn't super friendly. His response was "we don't roast the coffee. Nobody else has complained" and left it there in an awkward moment before asking me if I wanted something else. It was an awkward interaction and it should not have been. Third time I try the cold brew, which he suggested by saying "it's not very strong so maybe you'll like it", in a way that implied that the other copies were just "too strong for us". It was decent. Bottom line is, we travel a lot and we drink a lot of coffee and frequent a lot of fantastic coffee shops all over the USA in Canada. I have to believe this was a bad batch of beans, but I don't need to be made to feel stupid by the owner of the establishment. The dude should have tried the bad burnt tasting espresso. read more

Very cool vibe and good spot for a quick lunch. The caprese sandwich was really tasty and so was the curry chicken salad. But I'd drive back just for the watermelon mint ice tea ! read more

Went there last year for the first time and found the place to be amazing. The special coffee was really good and the food was amazing and the people were really nice, there was a great vibe! Last 3-4 times we have been disappointed with the drinks, it's like they lost the touch over the last 3-9 months. The food is still really good but they can't do good cappuccino's or latte's or even simple early grey the. The people are not a warm and welcoming as before, not bad but not as good as before. Not sure we will go back. Might try again in a couple months. read more

The food was really good, but the service was not. We walked over from the farmers market to get a bite to eat with half full coffees in hand from earlier and the barista/manager told us very rudely in the future not to bring our drinks inside. We were ordering food from them and weren't gonna throw out our coffee because we wanted food too... As our food was handed to us another barista apologized for other baristas behavior. I felt bad they seemed scared of the manager/barista :/ read more

Yummy drinks, knishes, biscotti. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Food service can be a bit slow so just plan for that. Highly recommend!

Iced Americans, salads, and muffin we had were all so delicious. Wheat a great location too! Will definitely stop again while passing by.

This is my first stop every year I come out for the Vermont Maple Fest. Every morning I get my mocha and a tasty fresh treat.

Tasty coffee was just what I needed and accompanied by a delicious homemade oatmeal cookie.

The staff is very rude and unwelcoming. It also sounded like a toxic work environment. The staff were complaining about other staff members in earshot of the patrons. It's too bad because it's a lovely place. Sadly I can't say my americano was good either. read more

I had lunch here for the first time today. What an awesome surprise! The atmosphere is very clean, comfortable and cozy. It's set up kind of like an old-school coffee shop fused with a library. Seating options included regular tables, high-too tables, and a few couches. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The menu offers a variety of baked goods and sandwiches (breakfast & lunch), and a lot of salad options. They have a ton of coffee and tea drinks. I had a toasted turkey and provolone croissant. It was delicious! There was something, maybe a dressing, that added a unique and tasty twist. I tried a Montreal Iced Tea, it tasted like green tea with a subtle touch of maple and was quite good. They have free wi-fi and a variety of books, magazines and newspapers. It had a good number of people for a Sunday afternoon, but it didn't feel crowded or noisy. I definitely recommend checking it out! It's a great place to enjoy breakfast, coffee & tea and lunch. read more

I love this little spot. Tons of baked treats to pick from! Unique cups and plates! Travel related books to read while sipping your coffee! Lots of little interesting gifts and things to look at! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Coconut lime cheesecake. Oh my goodness.... it was so fricken good. Literally was scrapping the very last of the cheesecake off my plate. My Chai Latte was alright, nothing special. Service was prompt and quite helpful. The man who took my order actually went out of his way to get me a fork for my cheesecake, that was pretty cool. I'll be trying out other baked goods next time and their hot chocolate! read more

This place is great. I came all the way from NYC to get my passport expedited and found this spot on yelp...I'm happy I came. The woman serving me was very considerate and meticulous...and beautiful! I asked for almond milk with my iced coffee and when she served my iced coffee there seemed to be clumps from the almond milk...she promptly discarded the entire coffee and served me a new one without hesitation! She was very kind and graceful--her service was awesome! I also appreciate the detail in the space...it is homey and authentic. The ceiling is covered in antique ornate tin blocks...the rug, the globe, the books, the art and the winged chair...I loved this place. I felt like I was having coffee in my apartment. I would recommend this spot to any traveling Joe! :-) read more

I am in love with St Albans. Miscellaneous and boring fact that probably no one but me will care about but one of my uncles traced our ancestry back and my family lived in St Albans during the 1800s. Needless to say, we just had to stop when returning from Montreal. Side note - it has a fantastic downtown with loads of unique shops. I can't pass up coffee. This place was awesome. The coffee was perfect. We were even asked our preference on how strong it was. I don't think I've ever been asked that before! Did I mention it was just the right strength and had a great flavor? I know where I'd be getting coffee every day if I lived here. We also grabbed a cherry bakery goodie. Also, quite good. Very nice space and the prices were more than reasonable. Had we not had a long ride home, it would have been the perfect place to relax and just take in the atmosphere. read more

I had a grilled cheese & an Earl Gray. The homemade bread was studded with sunflower seeds which was a nice touch. But I was a bit disappointed with the selection. There were three quiches and some baked goods. I would have liked something to go along with my sandwich besides potato chips - fruit, maybe fruit salad, even a simple basket of bananas or apples by the register? Maybe they were all out by 9 AM. Service was perfect. Comfy space. read more

The Traveled Cup never disappoints. Great coffee, awesome service, and the breakfast burritos are amazing.

This is probably my favorite place to get coffee in St.Albans. I'm usually super picky on my coffee and I like mine a certain way. I ordered the iced maple coffee and I added half and half and one packet of sugar. This was the best cup of coffee I've had in a while and not only was the food great, but the environment was super homey and comfortable. From groups reading scripts to typing essays on their computers or just as a friend and I were doing - sitting in and looking at the photography we had taken earlier. We were inside for about an hour or so and the service was excellent and very well staffed. Not too many people, but just enough. I would absolutely recommend this gem of a little place to anyone looking for somewhere to get a good cup of coffee and a very warm atmosphere! read more

From Montréal my friend and I decided to go south for a day road trip to the Green Mountains. I always love to stop in the Beautiful town of St-Albans. It was her first time arround and we wanted a halt! We then decided to stop on the Main street and we looked for A Caffè! We were delighted as soon as we stepped in! Warm welcome, cozy-artsy opd fashion furniture and decor and a great aroma of fresh blended café and spices for some pastries maybe? I order a double court café serré (short double espresso) my friend a cappucino! There were awesome and Tasty! I couldn't resist to have there Fresh Apple cinnamon bread that was calling me from the counter. I wasn't hungry but it look so fresh and warm... And it was as it: delicious fresh awesome! We were realy happy to chill in there, confortably sit in nice couch at the window for our dog outside to see us! Oh! And yes, shall we remind travelers that Vermont is a dog friendly state among other of its friendlyness! So this is why on the outside you'll often find a hook for dog leash. There was one, right at the end of the flower pot in from of the window where I spoted I want to sit. Plus at this very caffè the owner even offers us "poo" bags and water for Myska! Voilà! A nice café expérience in the lovely and Friendly St-Albana. We love you VT neigbourgs! Long life to you caffè and We'll stop by everytime we go south! Cheers from Montréal! read more

I have to say, after stopping in today, I'm really pleased with The Traveled Cup, hereby being called TC. They're new, so there are things they're still working on. They were talking about having a daily latte special. If they implement it, that will be a wonderful addition to the already impressive menu. When I was waiting for my son's college class to end on short days when I needed my car, I'd hang out at Starbucks in Williston. Therefore, I'm using that for a comparison. First, the seating is much more comfortable at TC. The swivel club chairs are amazing. Second, the prices are far more appealing. They also have a better selection of decaf options than Starbucks, who I learned later on does have decaf items, you have to ask though. The kicker here is that TC's decaf is amazing. It's the best decaf I've had outside of my house. TC has a punch card and after 10 coffees, your next is free. Prices ranged from the $2.50 for iced coffee/tea to around $3 something for Americanos, lattes, and other specialty drinks. They had a small selection of baked goods- brownies were $3.50 and croissants were $3. They also had a decadent looking chocolate cake, and more were brought in after we ordered. I admit that parking is a pain and the construction workers love to redirect traffic off of Rt. 7 which isn't very helpful when you're trying to get to stores on Rt. 7 and they also have the Lake Street intersection closed. Once that is over, I definitely will be back. They supposedly have Wi-Fi, though it is password protected. I'm sure you can ask at the counter, but I didn't bother. I had a work that didn't require Internet and so I didn't have to get in the way of people ordering drinks. read more

I am typically a Starbucks kinda girl (I know it can taste terrible, but I can't help it). I just moved from WA and it feels like home. ANYWAY, I am housesitting for the week up in Swanton and there are no Starbys in the area, so I yelped some coffee places nearby. I was pretty hesitant to try it, but was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. I am very indecisive, so my go to solution is to ask the staff what they would recommend. We narrowed it down to a cappuccino and latte. The man helping me said, "there is no pressure to buy the expensive coffee." He asked if I like coffee on the sweeter side, I agreed, and he added hazelnut. He told me, " I am not trying to impress you, but I want you to love it." I appreciated the fact he cared about my first impression. So far I love it. Service is great, lattes are yummy, there are outlets, no problems with wifi, seats are comfy, and I love sitting near the big windows to people and car watch. I typically don't go anywhere without my headphones, but unfortunately I forgot them. Luckily it is not too noisy and the music in the background is mellow but not boring. I believe they have a stamp card too, and I am a sucker for a rewards system. Sidenote: They really won me over with the name read more

Delicious! Get the Caprice sandwich and the Sausage burrito. We will definitely be back :)

Nice little cafe in St Albans. Barista with blue hair was friendly. This place does have a hipster vibe. Iced latte was OK, hot latte was good. Your best and only choice in the area, besides Dunkin and McD's! read more

The staff is always pleasant and bright eyed. Service is quick on time, and that doesn't mean they skimp out on effort or quality. Food caters to potential food allergies and is always deliciously creative. You can witness where the magic happen directly in the shop..... literally a few steps away. They have a cute seating area with a mini library where you can take/leave/swap out various types of books. Did somebody say kombucha? Yeah, they have that on tap... Two different types. As if you didn't get enough perks from the delicious coffee and food..... atmosphere is just as fresh as the brew. Supportive of fellow local amazement's, they have places you can hang your flier and details of events. I would go here and recommend anyone else go here for a "welcome home" experience. Here you can wake up, eat up, and chill out with people who may very well become new friends. read more

The Traveled Cup - Great place to go every morning for coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Saint Albans, Vermont

The good: location, this coffee shop is in the middle of downtown Saint Albans. The decor is nice with plenty of seats. The staff is friendly. The coffee is good. The not-so good: food selection and baked goods are limited and not that spectacular. I've tried a few of the baked goods with no real winners. They do change it up so maybe that will change. The bad: in the summer it gets very hot inside. The coffee shop has a couple a/c units but it does nothing. Their is usually only one employee so if you come in and the person in front of you ordered food, be prepared to wait. Their cooler broke and was out of service for some time so options were even more limited. On another occasion they ran out of cream because their delivery truck didn't make it in and instead of someone just running to the store to grab a quart or two, you had to drink it black that day. Lastly, the children play area was nice at one time but they have minimized it to where there isn't much left for kiddies to do. To sum up: Saint Albans has limited options for establishments so as far as visiting coffee shops, this is it. As long as you go on a slow day, not in the summer when everything is working, supplies are stocked and your not starving, you will be pleased. Mind you I have only frequented this coffee shop a handful of times. read more
