The Bay Burger, Fresh Cut Fries and a cold Green State beer.

Getting to know the area since buying a cottage here and thought I'd give the local Colchester restaurant a try. What a great experience! The burger and fries were really delicious. And I'm sorry I didn't get the fellas name who waited on me but he was pretty awesome also! Great place - food AND service!

Breakfast burrito, hash-brown, and cappuccino

This place is AWESOME. I had the best ever breakfast burrito, a great hash-brown and a perfect cup of cappuccino. Their lunches are amazing too. The menu looks amazing and I am looking forward to trying everything. But the best part is the people who work here, sweet and kind and happy to welcome you and feed you.

Lobster Roll

I'm back in Vermont and Pioneer Lakeshore Café is going strong! Ate here 3 times in 10 days. Continues to be excellent food, excellent service and casual ambience. This summer my favorite was garden salad with grilled salmon on top. My friend ordered the lobster roll every time, which is beautiful. So happy this place is here.

Shrimp roll was actually insane

I don't think I've ever had a better meal in all of Vermont, and I've eaten half of the state. This place has all the charm of your diner with the food of Michelin star place. The folks that run this place are just so kind and care deeply about the food and it shows. The service was great and food came out quick. If you're not eating here, you've messed up.

The lobster roll is worth the visit!

This was the best place we ate during our recent week in Colchester and Burlington. The sandwiches and ice cream drinks were sublime.

Terrible customer service. Rude staff mocked my need to have aioli on the side. Unfortunate that customer service is not a priority.

A no laptop policy keeps things flowing and encourages folks to talk vs work. Breakfast menu is available all day while lunch starts at 11 and goes until close at 3p. We tried a few things: * croissant - super flaky and perfectly made. * breakfast sandwich - with sausage. Buttery and crispy edges toast with fried egg and melted cheese with sausage. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. * banner eighteen - a play on cheesesteak with broccoli mushrooms and shaved steak in a sesame hogie. This one had slight spice and a slight taste reminiscent of a combination pizza. It's a big sandwich and quite tasty. * oatmeal raisin cookie - not too sweet which I loved. Chewy. * fresh baquette. Bread . . . . . * maple lemonade - slightly sweet with a good bit of tartness. It was good! I'd definitely comeback here if I'm craving some sandwiches

We came…read moreduring a busy lunch rush, and although the cafe was crowded, the line moved quickly and we received our food fast as well. We tried the eat the east breakfast sandwich ($11) and the vermonter sandwich ($16). I especially liked the vermonter sandwich and the bread it came on. The cafe also sells various bread items and baked goods. One thing to note is that since the cafe is counter-serve, seating is also first come first serve. We were able to snag a seat right as someone left, but for that reason I would recommend coming at a less peak time if able. August First is deservedly a busy spot in Burlington and I would be there often if I were a local.
