AVOID THIS SHOP! Shocked at the poor service considering all the positive reviews. Work was performed on my car without my knowledge and I was asked to pay for this work without being able to inspect it first. Delivery time was pushed back on multiple occasions without communication and on the second day (the car was not supposed to be kept overnight) when I called at 2:00 (I had to call them both times to find out what was happening) I was told the car would be ready at 3:00 (they close at 4) I arrive at 3:30 and was still waiting at 4:25 after being told they were "just putting on the finishing touches" by three different employees. Continue reading for the full story... I planned to find a shop willing to re-glue the original headliner as I found a source for an original OEM replacement if that was the only option. Jan 2, 3:09 pm. I call to ask about the repair of my headliner. Jan 3 (around 3:00 pm.) I bring in my car and speak with the lady at the front desk. She comes out to look at my car herself and inspects the headliner. I asked for a quote and made it clear that I was not looking for a replacement. She tells me she couldn't give me a number but a replacement goes for $400 so it would be less than that. I agree and we schedule an appointment for Jan 9 at 9:00 am. Jan 9, 9:00 am. I arrive with a friend to drop off my car and once again reiterate that I do NOT want a replacement headliner to the lady at the front desk who takes my keys. I was told the car would be ready later that day. Jan 9, 3:05 pm. I realize they close in under an hour at this point and if I am going to get there before 4:00 I would need to leave within the next 10 minutes. I call and am told that my car will not be ready for pickup until tomorrow afternoon leaving me without a car. Jan 10, 2:03 pm I had to call to find out the status even though they were supposed to call me. On this call, they tell me that I can come and get it any time after 3:00 pm. Jan 10, 3:30 pm. I arrive with my friend and am told my car is almost ready. Another customer arrives, his car is driven around, and he goes to look at it. The lady at the front desk seeing this remarks "He better come back and pay me.". A man came out from the shop area and informed me that they had "fixed the headliner" and "fixed the drain spouts" and my total was 400 DOLLARS, neither of which was I informed about at ANY POINT. At this stage, I still had not seen my car and they asked me to pay. It seemed that this was the only way I was getting my car so I relented. Promptly after receiving payment, the front desk lady GOES HOME while I still haven't gotten my car leaving me and my friend alone in the waiting room. Jan 10, 4:15 pm. We had been alone in the waiting room with no updates so I went and knocked on the entrance to the shop area. Eventually, someone comes to the door and invites me in there they are STILL WORKING ON MY CAR. Even worse I discovered they had REPLACED the entire headliner despite how clear I was not to. I briefly explained the situation to one of the employees and I was told "That's all they could do" and "We must have gotten your car confused with another". The lady walks away from me saying she will need to talk with the receptionist. The time is now almost 4:30 pm. I have a meeting in Birmingham at 5:00. I ended up having to take my friend's car (who also had to wait all this time on the second day of this fiasco) to the meeting leaving them to continue waiting for mine to be finished over an hour and a half later than it was supposed to be done. To make matters worse the new headliner is much darker than the rest of the interior panels making it clear that it has been replaced. I was never asked to pick materials which seems like something I would have had to do if I wanted a replacement. I believe I was extraordinarily clear that I did not want a full replacement in every dealing I had with the employees. All I can say is find a better upholstery shop than this one, at least one that respects your requests. read more

Very very nice people. Owner is great. Quote was given and increased when I went to pick it up. Not purposely but get a quote in writing. Makes all involved feel silly. Time to do a job is much longer than stated. A dealer will probably jump in line ahead. They had my truck for 4 days and said lunchtime today and it's 5pm and I just got it. I would recommend doing business here, but just force them to honor how much and when the time frame. read more

I don't do many reviews but I looked up the shop today because I'm going back for another job. I gotta tell you when I saw the 3 star average, I was shocked. I brought in a 2000 Miata last year that I want to keep, but that I had about worn out. I replaced the soft top and seat covers. They let me owner the top I really wanted and ship it directly to the shop. Paid for install only, and it was PERFECT. They recommended a top line brand of leather seats which are like 5 times better than the originals and the installation was just beautiful. I can't say enough good things, really. Not cheap, but craftsmanship never is. read more

My dog had a come apart going through a car wash. She clawed/chewed the leather doors in the backseat. I could see $$$$$ it was going to cost me. I took my 2015 Lexus for them to see. Melissa, the owner, was incredible. She found two doors at a salvage place, ordered them and installed them for under $500. I had to wait less than an hour. I have owned a Suburban for 21 years and have a Miata that is the same age. The Trim Shop has fixed the leather seats as they have worn out on the Suburban and completely replaced the Miata seats. Their work was excellent and their service was warm and personal. I have rarely done business with any company that has been so good. I truly wish there was a better rating than 5 stars. We drove here from Tupelo, MS (2 hours) to have them install leather seats. We anticipated sitting in their waiting room for 2-3 hours. However, when we arrived they offered to take us to the nearby mall and bring us back when the car was ready. They were so kind, helpful and went above and beyond what we expected!!! Took my 2009 Corvette Z06 there for a new driver's seat foam pad and leather cover (which I supplied from GM). It took a week to get an appointment and four hours for the job. They charged a reasonable $85, but the driver's door speaker grill cover was dented in and there was a 2 inch scrape in the paint in the door sill. I sent them an email as soon as I found the damage (on the way home from their shop)...no response. I called the next morning when they opened and was told to bring the car in so they "could look at it"...after trying to tell me that the damage was there before. I called back to speak to the owner and got an answering machine. I sent a second email...no reply. This place is just for the local dealers. I would not recommend taking a nice car there. read more

Three vehicles since last year brought in here for leather conversion at dealer's request. Dealer is 100 miles away so I wait. Other shops have kept me waiting all day, one went to 8 PM. The Trim Shop did an excellent job converting my 2014 Dodge Ram Crew Cab cloth interior to a full leather interior. Looks as good, if not better, than the factory leather. The price was a fraction of what a $4k Laramie upgrade would have cost me. They used the Katzkin brand leather which was really nice. They did tell me the wait could be a day or more but they were able to finish within a day. Excellent customer service and just a very pleasant surprise with their turnaround time and their quality workmanship. Melissa was super friendly and helpful in my leather/color selection. I strongly recommend over the other shops, and over a pricey manufacture model upgrade :) read more
